Surge is so indulged with the brown tabby cat sitting on his lap that he does not even hear Harry. Harry sneaks up right behind Surge’s head and blows a mouthful of oxygen into Surge’s ear, but Harry’s efforts do not come full circle. Surge deeply gazes into the eyes of the cat, before mumbling;

Harry raises an eyebrow and thinks out loud.

The cat yelps, before jumping off of Surge’s lap and jumping a metre’s length away from Surge. The cat gingerly prances across the room as Surge turns around and quizzically raises an eyebrow behind his mask...then punches Jones in the ear.

Harry stumbles, holding his ear. He stands up.

Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria plays over the loudspeakers as Cyrus Black emerges from behind the curtain onto the stage to a thunderous ovation. Cyrus walks down the ramp amidst the adulation as he pauses for a second to point at a sign held by a fan that says "EFNW is Cyrus Black," which Cyrus apparently finds amusing. Nonetheless, he slides into the ring and heads for his favorite seat on top of one of the top turnbuckles. He's dressed in his standard sleeveless overcoat and one of his "Messiah of Hardcore" T-Shirts, along with a pair of dark slacks. The music dies down, the crowd continues to chant for a few seconds and Cyrus is handed a microphone by Nathan, the stagehand.

Cyrus Black: So it seems things are about to get a lot more interesting in the weeks to come. Yes, the Surge Games are swiftly coming...a series of challenges devised by our Extreme Heavyweight Champion himself. What are the challenges? Nobody knows. What's the prize for the winner? Yeah, nobody knows that either. All I know is that it'll involve all participants beating the holy hell out of one another in some way, shape, or form. And when it comes to widespread chaos and mayhem, few do it better than me. So yeah, Surge Games? You might as well hand me the trophy here and now, because I will be damned if I left anybody else take this tournament save for me.

This gets a huge pop from the crowd as another "Cyrus Black!" chant starts up.

Cyrus Black: Now, onto more confusing bits. So I take a bit of a vacation for a couple of days, I come back, and I find things a bit confusing. Harry Jones in his infinite douche-baggery comes out and declares himself the EFNW Universal Champion, effectively ending the ECCW Crush World Championship. Which is odd, since it's very clear on the website that Harry Jones is still gallavanting around like he's Crush World Champion. And where's Jarrett Calloway in all this? For a guy who's a blind zealot to the company he works for, he's not making himself very vocal in all this. So yeah, I'm a little confused about all this, so for the sake of what's left of my sanity I'm just going to assume that Harry's being a blowhard as per usual, Jarrett's still an asshole, this little lovers' spat between Harry and Jarrett is still going on in some form, and nobody's either had the balls or the opportunity to stand up and do something about it.

A cameraman gets in close to Cyrus as he stares right into the lens

Cyrus Black: Travis...I know you can hear me, old man. You know that I speak the Truth, don't you? Harry may tell the world that he'll do the right thing and relinquish his claim to the Crush World Title once Jarrett's been beaten for the EFNW World Heavyweight Championship, but you know he won't. His ego won't allow it to go down that way...no, no, he wants to humiliate ECCW. He wants to kill ECCW regardless of the consequences. And if he does decide to let it go, he won't hand over the title without having the Jerichos and Calloway fall to their knees and embarass themselves. And while embarassing the Jerichos and Jarrett sounds like fun, I wouldn't do it if I was the so-called face of a major company. It's petty and will only make this company...your company look like a bully, which is what your son has accused ECCW of. Travis, your only shot of regaining what little dignity remains for both companies in the wake of this squabble is to unleash me. The Jerichos won't be able to stop me, Jarrett Calloway will get trampled, I'll bring the EFNW World Title home and deal with Harry, and this little "war" will be over. I'm the only one who can do it...not Angel Rodriguez, no offense. And certainly not your son. There comes a time where, in order to fight a war that has no end, it becomes necessary to let loose a wild card entity to upset the balance. And Travis, they don't get much more unbalanced than me.

The crowd is getting behind Cyrus Black, as though they are EFNW hardcore fans, they respect Cyrus's point of view regarding the futility of this conflict.

Cyrus Black: Travis, you brought me in to give your company something that your competition lacked. I made good on my word and gave you "The Moment" and shattered PPV buyrates at EFNW 1: Revolution. Now, you need to let me save your company before it and ECCW becomes nothing more than jokes. I can get the job done, but I'm no politician or management figure. You make it happen, and I'll handle the bloody work. Travis...for the sake of EFNW and its legacy, for the boys in the back tired of having their chances to shine taken away due to your son and Jarrett's idiocy...let me off my chain. I'll kill Jarrett, I'll wrest Harry's "title" from his hands, and end this little feud in one glorious, crimson-stained motion. And then...maybe I can make magic happen again for you and put more coin in your pocket. Just make it official, Travis...
