AJ starts off the match against Alissa. AJ is hitting an airplane hurricarana, so Kaitlyn tags herself in to the match. AJ and Layla tumble out of the ring. Kaitlyn is alone with Flash and hits a nice neck-breaker followed by a moonsault from the top rope for the win.

The show kicks off with Eric Bishoff informing us that tonight the WWE Universe will find out who the new GM of Nitro will be.

Zack Ryder comes out in a big pop followed by R-Truth who sings “You suck” to the crowd during his entrance.

King of the Ring Qualifying match – Zack Ryder vs R-Truth

They lock up and Truth slams Ryder to the mat and shows off. They lock up again and go to the corner. Ryder fights out with right hands. They run the ropes and Ryder takes Truth down with a forearm. Truth hits a suplex into a jaw-breaker for a 2 count. Truth hits a bunch of right hands as the ref backs him off. Truth slams Ryder and drops a big leg drop for 2. Truth keeps control until Ryder hits a neck-breaker for 2. Ryder counters the jumping reverse STO and hits an elbow in the corner. Ryder comes off the top but Truth catches him and drops him over his knee. Truth goes for the scissors kick but Ryder moves and hits the Rough Ryder for the pin-fall at 4:04.

Winner: Zack Ryder!

After the match, Ryder celebrates in the ring as he advances to the King of the Ring tournament.

Backstage Todd Grisham interviews the New Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Drew McIntyre who promise to humiliate The Rock tonight.

Back in the ring R-Truth takes a chair and takes a seat at ringside as the Game Triple H comes out along with his NXT protégé Skip Sheffield. RVD is out next to a good pop from the crowd.

King of the Ring Qualifying match – Triple H vs RVD

The bell rings and here we go. RVD gets the crowd going. Lock up and Triple H backs RVD into the corner. Triple H backs off, the two circle and RVD goes after Triple H's left arm. Triple H with a drop toe hold takedown on RVD, but RVD quickly takes Triple H's back. Triple H with a headlock takedown on RVD. Triple H with a shoulder block, but RVD responds with a big hip toss. Deep arm drag takeover by RVD on Triple H. RVD floats over Triple H in the corner, Triple H dodges a neck-breaker attempt and RVD dodges a Pedigree attempt. Lock up, Triple H with a headlock takedown, RVD rolls through, arm drag on Triple H and RVD works on Triple H's left arm. Triple H gets to his feet and backs RVD to the corner to break it up. RVD breaks and Triple H hits a few shoulder charges. RVD catches Triple H with an elbow in the corner, goes up top and Triple H pushes him off sending RVD into the guard railing on the outside. R-Truth has a stare down with RVD as RVD gets to his feet. Van Dam slides in the ring and Triple H greets him with some quick kicks. Triple H sends RVD shoulder first into the steel ring post in the corner. Triple H grabs RVD, does this a second time, cradle and RVD kicks out. Triple H goes to work on RVD's left arm. RVD with a kick to the face. RVD attempts a dropkick to the chest, but Triple H dodges it. Triple H works on RVD’s left arm again. RVD with some body shots, but Triple H responds with a knee to the face. RVD explodes with a jumping lariat clothesline on Triple H. RVD with a takedown and double low blow to Triple H. RVD kicks Triple H in the face coming off the ropes, cover and Triple H kicks out. RVD with a suplex into a face-buster on Triple H. Cover by RVD and Triple H kicks out after a close two count. RVD with some big right hands to Triple H in the corner. RVD with a splash clothesline on Triple H. RVD attempts a jumping dropkick into Triple H, but Triple H grabs RVD in mid-air and drives him down with a big spine-buster. Cover by Triple H and RVD kicks out. RVD with a spinning heel kick taking the Game down. Triple H counters a rolling thunder into a Cross-face on RVD. RVD gets close to the bottom rope. Triple H sees this, breaks the Cross-face, pulls RVD to the middle of the ring and locks the Cross-face back on. RVD counters into a cradle that results in a close two count. Triple H then begins kicking RVD with force sending him to the outside. R-Truth gets closer to Van Dam and spits water into his face. Van Dam takes down Truth with a spinning heel kick to the face. Van Damn gets to the apron and Triple H catches him in between the ropes with a knee to the side of the head. Trips drags RVD into the center of the ring and goes for the Pedigree but RVD counters into a back body-drop. RVD goes up top and goes for the 5 stars Frog-Splash but Triple H moves out of the way. Triple H then nails the Pedigree on RVD and gets the pin-fall at 10:21.

Winner: Triple H!

After the match, Triple H rolls out of the ring and celebrates with his NXT rookie Skip Sheffield. R-Truth gets into the ring and he picks up RVD before delivering the Pay-Dirt.

Backstage the #1 contender for the Divas Championship Mickie James wishes Trish Stratus good luck for her up coming match.

The bell rings and the two Divas go nose to nose. Trish mocks Beth and slaps her hard across the face. Beth takes down Trish with a vicious clothesline and starts banging Trish’s head against the mat until the referee breaks it off. Beth with a head-lock and Trish counters with a few elbows to the mid-section but Beth with an elbow shot to the back of the head. Beth with a kick to the side of the head for a near-fall. Beth looks for a half boston-crab but Trish reverses it into a small-package for a near-fall. Beth with another kick to the head. Beth applies a head-lock take down now as Trish tries to fight off. Trish with a roll-up for a near-fall. Beth misses with a clothesline and Trish takes her down with a neck-breaker. Trish goes up top and delivers a cross-body off the top for a 2 count. Trish goes for the Stratusfaction but Beth reverses into a back suplex. Beth nails a fisher-woman suplex for the 2 count. Beth goes for the Glam-Slam but Trish counters into a small-package for the 2. Trish misses with the Chick-Kick and Beth shoves her right into the referee. Beth with another vicious clothesline that takes Trish down. Beth goes for the Glam-Slam but Trish counters into a nice bull-dog for a 2 count. Trish goes for the Stratusfaction again but Beth tosses her over the ropes out to the outside and Trish lands hard on the floor. Beth gets out of the ring and sends Trish right into the steel steps. Beth starts banging Trish’s head into the steps over and over again as the referee tries to stop Beth but she doesn’t stop. The ref calls for the bell as Trish’s nose has been busted open.

Winner by DQ: Trish Stratus!

Beth finally let’s go of Trish after trash talking to her. The referee tells Beth to back off as ETM’s come out. Beth shoves the medics away and she pulls Trish back in the ring. Beth mocks Trish and goes for the Glam-Slam but Mickie James jumps in the ring and she attacks Beth. Mickie sends Beth out of the ring and then she checks on Trish. The medics help Trish exit the ring as Beth looks from the other side of the ring as Mickie keeps an eye on her.

Backstage Todd Grisham interviews Brock Lesnar who promises that he will not touch John Cena tonight.

Shawn Michaels comes out in a big pop as we see highlights from his Steel Cage match against Mark Henry last week. Shad Gaspard is out next to zero crowd reaction.

King of the Ring Qualifying match – Shawn Michaels vs Shad Gaspard

The bell rings and here we go. HBK with a few kicks to the legs, but Shad throws HBK into the corner with force. HBK with some big right hands, but Shad irish whips him and takes out HBK in the corner with a big clothesline. HBK catches Shad with a boot to the face and then gets in a chop block. Shad attempts a spine-buster, but HBK counters into an arm-bar attempt. HBK drives his knees into the left arm of Shad and then goes back to trying to lock on an arm-bar. HBK refuses to let go and keeps a modified arm-bar locked in. Shad uses his strength to lift HBK up over his shoulder and then both fell over the top rope to the outside. HBK then sent Shad face first into the steel ring post. Shad quickly rolls in and HBK hits some kicks and drops some knees over Shad. HBK goes back to work on Shad’s arm wrenching it back with force. HBK with a drop toe hold and forearms to Shad’s back. HBK with an arm-bar hanging over the top rope on Shad. Shad screams out in pain until HBK lets go to break it up. HBK goes to the top and drops a sledgehammer shot over Shad’s neck. HBK tries going back to work on Shad’s arm, but Shad quickly lifts HBK up and drops him in a Samoan drop. HBK with some chops on Shad in the corner. Shad launches HBK into the corner and then levels him with a clothesline. Shad with a huge power-slam on HBK, cover, but HBK kicks out after two. Shad misses with a clothesline and HBK applies a Cross-face. Shad got close to getting the ropes, so HBK broke the hold, covered Shad, got a two count, rolled over and applied the Cross-face again. Shad eventually got to the ropes. Shad with a side slam on HBK. HBK with a flying forearm, flips up, but Shad catches HBK with a clothesline. Shad hooks the leg but gets 2. HBK is up on the top, Shad comes up with, HBK punches him off and HBK connects with a flying elbow. HBK goes for Sweet Chin Music, but Shad catches HBK with the STO. Hook of the leg by Shad and HBK kicks out. Shad goes for a power-slam, HBK slides off of Shad’s back and hits the Sweet Chin Music. HBK with the hook of the leg and the pin-fall at 9:23.

Winner: Shawn Michaels!

After the match, HBK celebrates his victory as we see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Zack Ryder comes out to the stage and has a stare down with HBK. These two crowd favourites will meet next week.

RED wrote:: Back live, Jerry Lawler informs us that Trish Stratus has suffered a busted nose as well as a head trauma after Beth Phoenix banged her head into the steel steps multiple times. The doctor said that Trish will not be clear to compete for the next two weeks.

Wade Barrett comes out followed by John Cena who gets a big but mixed reaction from the crowd. Cole acknowledges that Brock Lesnar said earlier tonight that he will not attack Cena during this match.

King of the Ring Qualifying match - Wade Barrett vs John Cena

The bell rings and Barrett and Cena go at it, going to the corner. Cena stomps Barrett down to the mat and hits a big bulldog early on. Cena allows Barrett to regain his composure and a Cena chant breaks out in the crowd. They lock up and Cena takes Barrett to the mat with a headlock. Barrett tries to make a comeback but Cena drops him. Cena splashes Barrett in the corner and slams him down again. Barrett catches Cena with a big side slam for a 2 count. Barrett works Cena over now until Cena comes back with the shoulders and the big slam. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle and calls for the Attitude Adjustment but Barrett counters into a DDT. Barrett goes for Wasteland but Cena reverses it to the STF. Barrett gets closer to the ropes but Cena pulls him back in the middle of the ring and applies the STF. Brock Lesnar comes out holding a steel chair. He gets in the ring and Cena yells at him to try and hit him. Lesnar raises the chair and he nails Barrett in the back with it.

Winner by DQ: Wade Barrett!

Cena goes after Lesnar but Lesnar fights off and jumps out of the ring. Cena grabs the steel chair that Lesnar brought in and he nails Barrett in the back with it three times. Cena then hits the AA on Barrett into the chair. Lesnar heads up to the ramp and glares at Cena as Cena looks frustrated from the ring.

Backstage Alberto Del Rio confronts Eric Bishoff and asks him why does he have to face Randy Orton tonight. Bishoff says that it wasn’t his idea but the new GM made that call. Del Rio asks who the GM is and Eric says that everyone is going to find out later.

Josh Matthews goes to Samoa Joe’s locker room to interview him after being confirmed that Joe won’t be in the Fatal 4 Way match at King of the Ring but Joe is not in his locker room as the room has been totally destroyed. Apparently Joe is extra frustrated.

Randy Orton comes out to a big crowd reaction followed by Alberto Del Rio who gets a big heat.

They lock up and go at it as the bell rings. Orton takes Del Rio down first with a headlock. Orton floors Del Rio with a clothesline. Del Rio counters next and rolls Orton up for 2. They go to lock up again but Del Rio strikes. Orton turns it around and sends Del Rio out to the floor after a big clothesline. Del Rio comes back in and Orton controls, getting another 2 count. More back and forth action. Orton tries to come in from the outside but Del Rio dropkicks him on the apron. Orton falls back to the floor as Del Rio taunts the crowd. Del Rio brings the fight to the floor and works Orton over before rolling him back in for a 2 count. Del Rio stomps away in the corner but Orton turns it around. Orton with big uppercuts. Del Rio counters with the back-stabber for another 2 count. Del Rio keeps control and goes to the top. Orton meets him with a right hand. Orton climbs up and brings Del Rio back to the ring with a big super-plex. Orton with a 2 count. Both men get up and they exchange shots in the middle of the ring. Orton rocks Del Rio to the ropes and kicks him in the chest. Orton with a pair of clotheslines and a scoop slam. Orton hits the second rope draping DDT. Orton readies for the RKO but Del Rio rolls out of the ring and goes to leave as a very angry Samoa Joe comes out and walks down the ramp. Del Rio gets back in the ring and Orton catches him with his signature back-breaker. Joe gets into the apron and Orton knocks him off with a drop-kick. Orton hits the RKO on Del Rio for the victory at 6:43.

Winner: Randy Orton!

After the match, Joe attacks Orton. Joe chokes Orton in the ropes as Edge comes out and he goes after Joe. Joe takes down Edge with a Samoa-drop and then he nails a big boot on Orton. Joe hits the Muscle-Buster on Del Rio. Joe then hits a side-walk slam on Orton and a power-bomb on Edge. John Morrison – the man that will replace Joe in the 4 Way at King of the Ring – comes out and he goes after Joe but Joe knocks him down with a head-butt and then he connects with the Muscle-Buster. Joe leaves the ring as all the contestants of the Fatal 4 Way are down in the ring.

Bishoff says that the GM has booked a one on one match between Shelly and Sabin for this Thursday’s superstars. If he is impressed enough he might grand them a tag team title match. Sabin asks Bishoff who is the GM and Bishoff says that everyone is going to find out later.

The WWE Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Drew McIntyre come out as they look confident for their match tonight. The Rock comes out in a huge crowd reaction.

The Rock vs The Foreign Invasion

The bell rings and it's going to be Rock starting out with Drew McIntyre. They stare each other down. They lock up and Rock applies a side headlock. Rock drops Drew with a shoulder and runs the ropes. Rock with a big arm drag. Sheamus comes in and Rock takes them both out with arm drags. Rock tosses Sheamus to the floor and rolls Drew up for a 2 count. Drew rolls out to the floor to regroup with Sheamus as the crowd pops for Rock. Drew comes back in the ring but Sheamus says he wants Rock. They lock up and Rock applies a side headlock. Rock goes behind Sheamus and ties him up. Rock out wrestles Sheamus and sends him to the corner. Rock drops Drew and suplexes Sheamus for a 2 count. Sheamus tags in Drew. Drew stalls and has words with Rock. Lock-up and McIntyre sends Rock into the corner, before breaking clean. McIntyre motions Rock to come at him and they lock-up again. McIntyre with a waist-lock into a cravate, and then a side headlock. Rock powers out of the hold into a top wristlock. Rock switches into a hammerlock, then shoves McIntyre away, drawing his ire. McIntyre goes for a right hand, but Rock blocks it and shoves McIntyre into the ropes, connecting with a hip-toss. Rock brings McIntyre to the mat with a headlock takedown, but McIntyre gets back up and brings Rock back into the corner. McIntyre goes to break clean again, but instead knees Rock in the gut. McIntyre with a club to the back and a head-butt, then Irish whips Rock to the far corner. McIntyre charges, but Rock gets out of the way and comes off the ropes, hitting a running clothesline. Headfirst goes McIntyre off the top turnbuckle as Rock mounts the turnbuckles for the 10 punches. Rock hits all 10, then front face-locks McIntyre and brings him out of the corner with a DDT. McIntyre rolls out to the outside to collect his bearings. As Rock begins to head out after him, McIntyre sees him coming and pulls Rock's leg out from under him, sending Rock crashing back-first on the apron. Rock goes down to the floor, grabbing on his hip as McIntyre tags in Sheamus. On the outside, Sheamus sends Rock shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Sheamus tosses Rock back first into the ring barricade a few times and then tosses him back in the ring. Back in the ring Sheamus drops Rock with a clothesline and drops a knee. Rock blocks a suplex attempt by Sheamus and hits a suplex of his own. Rock follows that with a back suplex on Sheamus. Rock drops Sheamus over his back. Rock and Sheamus exchange right hands. Rock breaks it up with a big right hand, a big clothesline and a spine-buster for the 2 count. Sheamus misses a charge and goes shoulder first into the steel ring post. Rock drags Sheamus up to the top turnbuckle and connects with a super-plex. Sheamus fights back dropping Rock with the Irish-Curse back-breaker. Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick but Rock dodges it and hits a DDT. Rock calls for the People’s Elbow but McIntyre gets in and Rock drops him with the Rock-Bottom. Rock then turns into a Brogue Kick by Sheamus. Sheamus with the hook of the leg and Rock kicks out at 2. Sheamus goes for the kick again but Rock counters into the Rock Bottom. Cover by Rock and Drew breaks it. Rock sends McIntyre out of the ring and he goes for the People’s Elbow on Sheamus but Sheamus gets up in time and nails Rock with a 2nd Brogue Kick. Sheamus follows that up with the Celtic-Cross. Sheamus tags in McIntyre. McIntyre picks up Rock and hits the Future Shock DDT. McIntyre hooks the leg and gets the pin-fall at 12:34.

Winners: The Foreign Invasion!

After the match, Sheamus and McIntyre celebrate in the ring after defeating one of the biggest WWE legends. Sheamus and Drew head to the ramp as Rock gets a mic and he says that this is not over yet. He says that he underestimated the Foreign Invasion and that’s the only reason that they got the win tonight. He says that he wants to challenge Sheamus and Drew McIntyre in a tag team match at King of the Ring. He says that his partner will be someone that loves to whip asses as much as the Rock does. He asks the crowd that if they want to see The Rock and his partner electrifying the WWE Universe at King of the Ring then they should give him a “Hell Yeah”. The crowd cheers “Hell Yeah” as Sheamus and McIntyre look at each other confused and Rock smiles from the ring.

A King of the Ring promo airs.

Eric Bishoff comes out to the ring smiling. He says that tonight marks the beginning of a new era. He says that he has hired a new GM of Nitro. A better GM, a smarter GM, a tougher GM and most of all…a stronger GM. He announces that the new General Manager of Monday night Nitro is…The World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry! Indeed Mark Henry comes out dressed in an XXL black suit. Henry walks down the ramp laughing as Bishoff is clapping. Henry gets into the ring and shakes hands with Bishoff. Henry then says that after he got screwed by Teddy Long in his Steel Cage match against Shawn Michaels last week he had to make sure that Teddy wouldn’t be able to continue ruining Monday night Nitro. He says that Teddy Long reminded everyone of Raw so he had to be replaced. He wishes Teddy a nice but not speed recovery. He says that Eric Bishoff personally offered Mark Henry the GM Spot and he couldn’t say no. He says that from now on Monday night Nitro in under the control of Mark Henry and Mondays are never going to be the same again!

The Miz vs John Morrison

The Miz bailed out of the ring early on to upset the crowd. Lots of pin-fall attempts between the two halfway through. Miz with a counter to a knee-lift, but is clotheslined over the top rope to the outside. Morrison gets a big shot in on Miz who goes flying off the ring apron. Morrison is thrown from the corner over the top rope to the outside by Miz. Miz with a big side slam on Morrison. Miz then drives his knee down into the back of Morrison and pulls back on his arms. More pin-fall attempts between the two. The two start exchanging some big kicks. More kicks and right hands exchanged between Morrison and Miz. Morrison with a big springboard kick to the head on Miz. Miz got his foot on the rope barely before the three count. Miz rolls out when Morrison looks to attempt the Starship Pain. Morrison then hits a corkscrew plancha over the top rope to Miz on the outside. Punk looks down at the Miz smiling. Miz with a sledgehammer from the top rope on Morrison. Morrison with a side russian leg sweep on Miz near the corner. Miz trips up Morrison when he attempt a Starship Pain. As Miz goes for the Skull Crashing Finale, Punk grabs the WWE title and runs to the top of the ramp. This distraction is enough for Morrison to escape from the Skull Crashing Finale and hit a big flying knee to the head. Morrison hits the Starship-Pain to get the pin-fall at 8:34.

Winner: John Morrison!

After the match, Morrison rolls out of the ring raising his hand in victory as Punk sits down on the ramp with the WWE Title in his lap. Miz looks on from the ring while Punk taunts him with the WWE title as the show goes off…

*With an evil smirk on his face Tarver grabs the weak ref by the T-shirt collar and decks him a couple good times in the face before throwing him towards his partner as Khali bashes his own skull in to the helpless old mans head busting him open and sending him to the floor hard.Tarver tells Khali to lift him to his feet and lock in the vice grip,once the grip is locked Khali applies pressure making the victim yell in pain,Tarver puts his arms in a T formation right before a crow hop upper cut to the jaw of earl hebner literally knocking him out cold.Khali drags him by the foot and lays him in front of the SD General Managers office door with a taped note reading "Your new pals,K.O Inc."*

The crowd continues to boo and Henry shakes his head.

"Nevermind. As the new General Manager of Nitro, I have the control of this show and I can do whatever I want. I can change all the Nitro matches for TLC, I can remove any Nitro superstar that I want from the King of the Ring tournament and I can fire any Nitro superstar that I don't like. But that's not going to happen...for now. For starters, I'm not like Theodore Long. I'm not kind and I'm not intimadated by any superstar. With the being said, if any superstar doesn't like My decisions or if any superstar is upset about losing a match...don't even bother knocking on My door and demand matches or rematches. The fact that I'm wearing this suit doesn't mean that I'm not the World's Strongest Man. That's why if I have an issue with a superstar I'm not going to suspend them or fire them. I'm going to tear them apart. Now, at King of the Ring, there will be a Fatal 4 Way Elimination match to determine a new #1 Contender for the WWE Championship. Next week, Edge is going to take on Alberto Del Rio in a Ladder match with the winner capturing a very special contract regarding the 4 Way match at the PPV. Also, Randy Orton will face John Morrison and the winner will compete against The Miz for the WWE Championship in the same night.
