Smackdown kicks off with Hulk Hogan in the ring, introducing us to HIS show. He says that the regime of JBL is of the past and from this point onwards this will be the land of Hulkamania. He goes on to state that although he may not have come in as General Manager in the particular fashion but that will not stop him in making Smackdown his home. He wishes everyone a good night and goes to leave when Dolph Ziggler’s music hits. Dolph storms down to the ring and gets in, screaming at Hulk that he shouldn’t be in a match with JBL tonight. He tells Hulk that he wants JBL out of the arena and he wants his match for tonight called off. Hulk tells Dolph that after Smackdown last week, JBL was rehired and was granted the match he wanted most of all and that was against Dolph Ziggler. Dolph goes to argue back but Hogan tells him to shut up and go backstage because there is a match about to get started. Dolph reluctantly leaves just as the music of Randy Orton hits. The fans begin to cheer as Orton slowly walks out with El Generico by the side. The two get down to the ring just as Chris Masters’ music hits. He walks out with Jack Swagger and the two make their way down the ramp before getting in the ring to get this match started.

Randy Orton & El Generico v Chris Masters & Jack Swagger

Quote :

Randy Orton & El Generico def. Chris Masters & Jack Swagger @ 05:35 after Orton nailed Masters with a huge RKO after escaping the Masterlock.

After the match, Orton and El were celebrating in the ring when Orton took out El with an RKO from out of nowhere. Orton got out of the ring and went over to the bellkeeper whom handed him a red shirt. Orton show off the shirt, revealing it to be a Nitro shirt, and heads backstage to a mixed reaction.

Kane & Matt Morgan © v The Foreign Invasion ~ WWE Tag Team Championships

The Foreign Invasion def. Kane & Matt Morgan to become the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions @ 11:42 after Sheamus avoided the Carbon Footprint from Morgan before hitting him with a Brogue Kick.

After the match, The Rock made a surprise appearance and stood on the ramp, applauding The Foreign Invasion. The three men argue a little before The Rock tells his two opponents for Monday that they aren’t going to know what hit them.

AJ Styles v Rhett Titus

Rhett Titus def. AJ Styles @ 01:03. El Generico came down to ringside with AJ and attempted to help him near the beginning of this match but Rhett used this to his advantage and rolled up AJ for the three count.

AJ and El had a brief argument after the match but appeared to resolve their issues before they went backstage.

John Morrison v Justin Gabriel ~ World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi Finals

Mr Kennedy © v Christian ~ Intercontinental Championship

After the match, Christian got on the mic and proclaimed to the WWE Universe that he will defeat whoever is thrown at him next week and then go on to win the World Heavyweight Championship at King Of The Ring.

Bully Ray v Cody Rhodes ~ World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi Finals

After getting the victory, Cody Rhodes got to his feet and looked up the ramp as Justin Gabriel walked out grinning. The two have a stare down in preparation for their upcoming match.

Dolph Ziggler v JBL

The match went to a No Contest after both men brought weapons into the match. The two battered each other with steel chairs and kendo sticks until finally being separated by security.

Justin Gabriel v Cody Rhodes ~ World Heavyweight Championship

Cody Rhodes def. Justin Gabriel @19:37 to become the NEW World Heavyweight Champion after knocking out Justin with the Cross Rhodes and getting the pin.

After the match, Cody Rhodes celebrated in the ring with his newly won World Heavyweight Championship but his celebration is rudely interrupted as Christian walks out proclaiming that he will defeat Justin Gabriel next week then take that World Heavyweight Championship from Rhodes. At this point, AJ Styles and El Generico walk out and say that they think it is about time they got a shot at the big one and they want an answer from Hulk Hogan by next week. The five men continue to go back and forth as Smackdown goes off the air.

Christian is walking around backstage, the IC Tite around his waist. He smirks, as he knows that he will win next week and become the World Champion.

The Rock is in his lr, eating Tofu, maintaining his high-protein, low calorie diet.

Zack Ryder is walking around, the Internet Title around his waist.

RVD is in the gym, running on a treadmill.

Natalya is in her lr.

Shane McMahon is sitting in his office, door still wide open.
