EFNW 4: No More Sorrow Results

EFNW Tag Team Title Match: Jaggered Payne vs Fight Money(c)

The match itself is a rather fast-paced way to open up the PPV, but in reality Fight Money has full control of the match for the majority. Jaggered Payne seems to be slipping with regards to chemistry whilst Fight Money run like a well-oiled machine. The pinfall is academic after nailing Payne with the Fortunes Lost double team manuever, leading to a successful title defense.

Winners: Fight Money (still champions)

Hardcore Demon vs Michael DeJesus

Demon takes every opportunity he can to physically punish and pulverise the smaller DeJesus with his assortment of power moves, whereas DeJesus takes every chance he gets to try and cheat a victory away from Demon. Demon takes the early advantage in the match until DeJesus clips his knee and uses quick strikes and cheap shots to keep Demon grounded.

Towards the end of the match, Demon manages to get back to his feet and start laying into DeJesus, almost looking like he'll take victory in this grudge match. However, before Demon can finish the job, the lights start to flicker in the arena, distracting him. The Tron flickers some sort of message regarding Powerplay and how "it's all coming to an end," which gives DeJesus a chance to get to his feet and nail Demon with a nasty neckbreaker. DeJesus, taking the opportunity, climbs up to the top turnbuckle and nails Demon with the E-Bomb, which is more than enough for a three count!

Winner: Michael DeJesus

The message from earlier flickers again on the Tron regarding some sort of reckoning at Powerplay, but the question remains...who was it that seems to be calling out Hardcore Demon?

After the match, Casey Anomaly walks down the entrance ramp in his ring gear, his ribs obviously taped up due to sustaining past injuries at the hands of Tim Taylor. Casey grabs a mic and states that he's not 100%, but even at 50% he's more than well enough to kick the ever-loving man-shit out of Tim Taylor. This draws out Tim Taylor, who in his ever-arrogant manner laughs at this, but agrees to fight Casey here tonight as he calls for a referee. Trainers rush out to the ring to try and talk Casey out of this, but he tells them to go screw themselves with a rusty railroad spike as he shoos them away. Tim, ever the opportunist, immediately spears Casey to the ground once the trainers exit, and the referee calls for the bell.

Tim Taylor vs Casey Anomaly

Tim is relentless in his assault on Casey's ribs, not only focusing his strike on them but utilizing his amateur wrestling background to wear them down even further than they already are. It's obvious that, despite Casey's bravado, he's in no condition to be fighting this match.

However, Casey's will does allow him to escape a body-scissors towards the end of the match, and through the pain he unleashes a lightning-fast blitzkrieg of offensive moves. However, when he tries to go for Corrupted, his ribs don't allow him to get Tim on his back as he falls to the mat, clutching them in pain. This gives Tim the opening he needs to spear Casey again and, after Casey rises to his knees, drill him with a Pump Kick for the three count.

Winner: Tim Taylor

Tim celebrates like he won the World Title instead of beating an obviously injured opponent as Casey rolls out of the ring and to the floor. Tim, obviously not satisfied with just winning, follows Casey out of the ring and starts laying in kicks to Casey's injured ribs. Casey's partially under the ring apron as Tim heads for the announcer's table and grabs a steel chair. Casey's now his back with his hand under the ring as Tim towers over him, steel chair raised high...

...However, as Tim swings down, Casey swings something from under the ring to knock it out of his hands! Crap, it's Casey's skateboard, which he uses to nail Tim in the balls! Tim hunches over in pain as Casey, running on adrenaline, gets to his feet and BREAKS THE DAMN SKATEBOARD OVER TIM'S BACK AND NECK! Tim staggers over to the steel ringpost as Casey, still in obvious pain, grabs Tim's chair and goes to swing. However, before he can make a sandwich with the steel chair, Tim's brains, and the ring post, Tim gains enough wherewithal to slide out and run up the ramp, shouting various obscenitites and proclaiming that he still won. Casey, meanwhile, uses the steel chair as support as he winces in pain, staring daggers at his rival as he walks away.

EFNW Revolution Championship Match: Kevin Evans(c) vs Alex Nova

Man, was this a rather kickass little match! Kevin, being the perennial dick heel vs Alex's less-heelish demeanor, took every opportunity to punish and humiliate Alex, utilizing a far more grounded offense than he typically uses to lay in the pain. However, Alex shows a shitload of guts and grit as he endures everything Kevin tries to hit him with and inflict on him as he regularly avoids tapping or allowing himself to stay down for more than a two count.

Towards the middle of the match is where things get really interesting. Kevin, snapping mentally like an old person's hip does physically, quits trying to outwrestle Alex and starts attacking with his vast arsenal of moonsaults, splashes, DDTs, and various other whats-its. However, Kevin starts to get a little sloppy, which allows Alex to start matching him big move for big move with his assortment of strikes, headbutts, slams and springboard moves. The sheer number of big moves results in a lot of pinfall attempts by each participant, but neither of them are able to get three.

In the end, it was a mistake on Kevin's part...whether he was too exhausted to be thinking clearly or was too arrogant to think that Alex could capitalize on such a mistake is hard to say...when going for a Stu Hart Special that allows Alex to turn it to a leg trap sunset flip powerbomb! Alex follows it up with a Karma Injection to a kneeling Kevin, but instead of going for the pin, heads up top to put the final Nail in the Coffin with the DFA! Alex hooks both legs tightly as the ref counts...1...2...3! 3! 3! ALEX DID IT! ALEX WON THE TITLE!

Winner: Alex Nova (new champion)

Alex celebrates capturing his first title in EFNW as Kevin still lies on the mat in clear pain. Angel Rodriguez appears at the top of the ramp to clap somewhat facetiously as Nova shows off his new title belt. Angel mouths something to the effect that "you still owe me kid, and I will collect" or some crap like that as Alex continues to revel in his win.

Legend vs Legend Match: Harry Jones vs ??????

All the Lil' Jimmies...wait, scratch that, don't want to get sued...the Lil' Johnnies are all wondering who Harry will face until...HOLY HELL! IT'S JUDGEMENT! JUDGEMENT'S HERE IN EFNW TAKING ON HARRY JONES!

Harry looks shocked but shakes it off as the bell rings and he and Judgement lock up and have themselves a rather good match. It wasn't very long, but it did show that Judgement hadn't lost a step as he took control at several points in the match with his assortment of slams and suplexes. Harry's high-flying, risk-taker style meshes well with Judgement's skills as he gets in good shots throughout the match.

The match goes on for 10 minutes before both men are on the mat as a result of both men going for crossbodies and colliding in the middle of the ring. They both get to their feet before the 10 count and start exchanging forearms until Judgement gets the advantage and hits him with a fisherman's suplex! Judgement scrapes Harry off the mat, setting him up for a camel clutch, but Harry slides out and nails Judgement with a Busaiku Knee Kick! Harry nails him with two more before going to the top rope and hitting Judgement with the Omega Spiral! This is just enough for Harry to get the pinfall.

Winner: Harry Jones

Harry allows the ref to raise his hand for a brief second before helping Judgement back to his feet. Judgement's clutching his chest but chuckles as he and Harry hug it out in the middle of the ring. Judgement grabs a microphone and apologizes for taking time away from the main event (which ilicits a boo as the main event is going to be AWESOME), but he quickly puts over Harry and tells him to do what he knows he can do and beat the hell out of Jarrett Calloway at ECCW Powerplay. Really emotional stuff...we move on!

MAIN EVENT! ENFW Extreme Heavyweight Title/EFNW World Title Unification Match: Twista XL vs Cyrus Black

Holy shit on a shit sandwich...this match was so epic, that I think I need to think of a new word to describe it...epicawesomatic? Eh, it's good, but not quite there.

Seriously though, both Twista XL and Cyrus Black put forth their best in this clash-up of titans for the right to lay claim to the undisputed EFNW World Champioship. The first third of the match was actually a rather impressive chain wrestling exhibition, with Twista suprising his friend, rival, tag team partner, and opponent Cyrus with his ability to match his initial technical onslaught. The crowd really got behind both men as dueling chants of "Twista! Twista!" and "Cyrus Black! Cyrus Black!" reverberated throughout the arena.

The second third of the match matched up Cyrus's more technical, jack-of-all-trades style of wrestling verses Twista's high octane, high-flying brawler style. Both Cyrus and Twista unleashed any number of vicious strikes, slams, kicks, and more as they exchanged pinfall attempts. When neither of them were able to score a pin, Cyrus flipped the script and started looking for submissions, including his dreaded Long Road to Nowhere crucifix neck crank. However, Twista doesn't let Cyrus get the one-up on him and counters with his TTF submission! But as the match progresses, it's clear that neither man's going to tap out...

The last third of the match is slower, but more dramatic as both Twista and Cyrus break out the heavy artillery to get either man to stay down for a three count. This includes finishers, and towards the end both Cyrus and Twista hit one another with finisher moves. However, neither Twista's L.O.T.I. or Cyrus's Journey's End is able to score the pinfall, further heightening the anticipation! This match, already thirty plus minutes long, finally starts to come to an end as both men, weary and exhausted after having weathered each others' most potent moves and strikes, draws to a close as Twista spins Cyrus around, looking for the XL Slam...however, Cyrus counters and turns it into a backslide and a running knee strike to the temple! And still, it's only good enough for two! Cyrus is wide-eyed and wondering what it'll take to put Twista down for three and seems to be debating with himself internally. Finally, Cyrus does a throat slash and puts Twista in position for a powerbomb, lifts him up...OH MY GOD! THE OIHAGI DRIVER! CYRUS'S MOST LETHAL MANEUVER!

1...2...3! Cyrus has unified the titles after resorting to his most vicious finisher!

Winner: Cyrus Black

Cyrus, almost torn between the ecstasy of winning the match and being crowned the one true EFNW World Champion and the conflict of using such a dangerous move on his friend, actually tells the ref to piss off when he goes to raise his hand in victory and goes to check on Twista. After a few seconds, Twista recovers from being dropped on his head and sits up, slamming his fist into the mat in frustration before looking at Cyrus. The two men get to their feet, both of them worn the hell out from such a match. There's some tension in the air before Twista, head still throbbing from the effects of the Oihagi Driver, finally pats Cyrus on the shoulder and tells him congratulations. Twista asks if he could have a rematch down the road, and Cyrus responds by shaking his hand and raising it to the adulation of the crowd. Twista nods and, though he is dejected from losing, is content that he gave it everything and that he took Cyrus well past his limit. Twista exits the ring as the ref hands Cyrus both title belts and he lays them on the mat, kneeling and bowing to the crowd in appreciation. This is the last image that is played at No More Sorrow as the crowd roars and cheers before the PPV cuts to black.
