Yeah, I agree. I've just noticed that Survivor Series will be in London, been a while since we had a PPV in the UK.

I know, and since the WWE haven't decided on a location for the event yet I went ahead and made the decision myself.

July 20th 2012

[Smackdown comes on the air and Know Your Enemy begins to blare through the speakers. The cameras sweep through the crowd, showing the signs supporting various supporters. The commentators welcome us to the show before the camera snaps round to the stage as Chris Jericho walks out in a suit with the WWE Championship over his shoulder. Chris looks extremely pissed off as he makes his way down the ramp and a replay of Undertaker returning this past Sunday night at Money In The Bank is shown on the titantron. Chris gets in the ring and grabs a mic before turning to the crowd. Chris begins by reminding everyone that at Money In The Bank he retained his WWE Championship against Randy Orton. Chris goes on to say that what happened after the match was completely disrespectful. Chris proceeds to call out The Undertaker and demands that he comes out to this ring right now and apologise to him. Chris says that he demands respect out of everyone on the roster, regardless of who they are, because that is what he deserves as WWE Champion. Chris walks over to the ropes and motions for Undertaker to come out but there is no response. Chris calls Undertaker a coward and reminds everyone that Undertaker is renowned for attacking people while the lights are out. Chris goes on to point out all the flaws of Undertaker until the lights go out. The fans begin to cheer and chant Undertaker’s name but instead of coming out, he appears on the titantron. Undertaker tells Chris he answers to no man and if Chris wants him then he will have to wait until he decides the time is right. The titantron goes off and once again all of the lights in the arena go out. When they come back on, Chris is no longer in the ring. Primo’s music hits and he walks out as Justin Roberts announces this is a Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament match. Primo gets in the ring while Rosa Mendes stands on the outside before Camacho makes his way out. Camacho quickly gets down the ramp before getting in the ring before The Great Khali’s music hits. Khali dances down the ramp and gets in the ring before Ezekiel Jackson comes out. Jackson gets a relatively good reaction and, as he makes his way down the ramp, a replay of his showdown with Cena is shown on the titantron. When the video finishes, Jackson is in the ring and all four men are ready for this match.]

Primo w/ Rosa Mendes & Camacho versus The Great Khali & Ezekiel Jackson ~ Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament

[Primo starts things off with Khali and Primo charges at Khali but Khali catches him with a massive chop to the chest. Primo hits the mat before slowly getting back to his feet. Khali walks over and goes to grab Primo but Primo runs away from him and tags in Camacho before sliding out of the ring. Primo puts his hands up and shakes his head before heading backstage with Rosa. Camacho is distracted by this and when he turns around he gets hit with the Brain Chop from Khali. Camacho hits the mat and Khali drags him away from the ropes before dropping down and making the cover for the three count.]

Spoiler:

[Khali gets back to his feet and Jackson joins him in the ring before both have their arms raised in victory. The two men celebrate in the ring as the scene fades.]

~

[Roddy Piper sits in his office on the phone to somebody when Chris Jericho storms in and starts shouting about Undertaker. Roddy hangs up the phone and asks Chris what is wrong and Chris says he is sick of being disrespected by Undertaker. Chris says that he wants Roddy to suspend Undertaker and make sure he doesn’t step foot in that ring again. Roddy shakes his head at Chris and begins to laugh before telling him to get a grip. Roddy tells Chris that he has a match laer so he better go prepare himself and if Undertaker wishes to get involved then so be it.]

~

[Randy Orton walks into arena with a pissed off look on his face after his loss on Sunday night. Eden Stiles runs over to Randy and asks him how he is feeling after losing to Chris Jericho for the second PPV in a row last Sunday. Randy glares right through at Eden and Eden backs off slowly until she is out of shot. Randy then turns back around and continues inside.]

~

[Back in the ring and Cody Rhodes is making his way out to boos from the crowd. Cody has his ribs and one of his legs taped up. As Cody makes his way down the ramp, a replay of both Cody and Zack Ryder getting knocked off of the ladder after Kofi Kingson sent another ladder into their one is shown. Cody and Zack are both shown following off the ladder and bouncing off of the ropes before landing on a heap on the outside. The video stops and Cody is in the ring watching it, holding his ribs as the pain comes back to him. Zack Ryder’s music hits and he comes out in a similar situation but also has one of his shoulders taped up. Zack slowly makes his way down the ramp before getting in the ring and standing opposite Cody.]

Cody Rhodes versus Zack Ryder

[Cody goes straight after the injured ribs of Zack, kicking them with his good leg. Zack doubles over and Cody grabs Zack’s head before repeatedly kneeing him in the head. Cody finally lets up and Zack stumbles back before being caught with a forearm shot in the head. Cody backs Zack into the ropes before throwing him across the ring. Cody goes to catch Zack on the rebound with an elbow to the face but Zack ducks underneath before running off the ropes and coming back with a clothesline to Cody. However, Zack hit Cody with his bad arm and it appears to have hurt himself more than Cody. Zack grabs his shoulder and begins screaming out in pain, which gives Cody the opportunity to recuperate. Cody gets to his feet and waits for Zack to turn back around before taking him down with a dropkick. Cody slides over and hooks the leg of Zack but Zack manages to kick out after the two count. Cody gets back up and begins pulling Zack up after him but Zack surprises him with the small package for a two count. Both men get back to their feet at relatively the same time and both go straight on the offensive. Cody is the first to throw a punch but Zack catches it and responds by kneeing Cody in the bottom of his ribs, causing him to double over. Zack hooks Cody’s arm over his head before hoisting him in the air and hitting a big suplex. Zack rolls over and makes the cover but Cody kicks out after the two count so Zack gets back to his feet. Zack begins stalking Cody while making the LI with his hands. Cody gets to his feet and turns so Zack goes for the Rough Ryder but Cody ducks underneath and tosses Ryder over his head. Ryder stumbles forward a little and Cody promptly runs forward before bouncing off the ropes and nailing the Beautiful Disaster Kick on Zack. Cody drops down on top of Zack and hooks his leg for the 1..2..3!]

Spoiler:

[Cody gets back to his fee and has his arm raised in victory before promptly leaving the ring and heading backstage.]

~

[Eden Stiles stands in the interview with Kofi Kingston, who stands in a suit and has his Money In The Bank briefcase in his hands. Eden asks Kofi what it has been like since he won at Money In The Bank and if what this means has sunk in yet. Kofi laughs at Eden and says of course it has sunk in because everyone knew what winning would mean going into the match. Kofi says that it is now only a matter of time before he wins the World Championship and when he finally does so everyone will realise that he is the greatest man in this company.]

~

[Jack Swagger sits in the locker room and is heavily taped up after the brutal Money In The Bank Match on Sunday. Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel are sitting at the other side of the locker room talking away when Abraham Washington walks in. AW tells Tyson he needs to decide whether or not he is going to team up with Booker T permanently or not quickly. AW tells Justin he has to do the same with Jey Uso before he turns to Swagger. AW tells Swagger that he has just spoken to Roddy Piper and he will be competing in tonight’s Main Event so he better go make sure he is cleared to compete.]

~

[We come back to the ring and Justin Roberts announces that this will be a Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament Match. Sin Cara’s music hits and he runs out to big cheers from the crowd. He gets in the ring before Big Show makes his way out to the same reaction from the crowd. Show gets in the ring and joins Cara before Dolph Ziggler’s music hits. Dolph walks out onto the stage with his RAW Money In The Bank briefcase in his hand. Vickie Guerrero walks out after Dolph and both make their way down with Dolph getting in the ring and Vickie remaining on the outside. Dolph stands in the corner, waiting for his partner but he shakes his head in disappointment as Hornswoggle’s music hits. He runs out from under the ring before getting up on the apron, ready for this match.]

Sin Cara & Big Show versus Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero & Hornswoggle ~ Tag Team #1 Contender Tournamen

[Dolph stands in the corner as the bell rings while Cara stands opposite him, waiting for him to make a move. Dolph turns and leans over, slapping Hornswoggle across the face which constitutes as a tag. Dolph drags Hornsowggle in the ring and tosses him over to Cara before leaving the ring. He grabs his briefcase before both he and Vickie head backstage. Back in the ring and Cara covers Hornswoggle for the three count.]

Spoiler:

[Cara gets back to his feet and has his arm raised in victory before Show joins him in the ring. The two raise the other’s arm before leaving the ring.]

[When we come back on the air, R-Truth is in the ring and is ready for a match. Chris Jericho’s music hits and the WWE Champion walks out to major boos from the crowd. He quickly gets in the ring but keeps looking over his shoulder, watching out for Undertaker.]

R-Truth versus Chris Jericho

[Chris and Truth lock up as soon as the bell rings with Chris gaining control by locking the headlock on Truth. Chris begins to squeeze Truth’s head but Truth eventually manages to shove Chris away. Chris stops himself from going far and turns around, just to be met with a dropkick from Truth. Truth makes the cover on Chris but Chris is soon to kick out. Both men get back to their feet and Chris goes to kick Truth in the side but Truth catches it before kicking Chris’ other leg away from under him. Truth lunges on top of Chris and begins to pound away on his head. Chris eventually manages to get Truth off of him and rolls away from him. Chris gets back to his feet and Truth runs at him but Chris quickly moves out of the way, causing Truth to run into the corner. Chris turns Truth around and begins to lay into him with shot after shot and kick after kick. Chris gets Truth down to a seated position before running off the ropes and hitting Truth with a dropkick right to the face. Chris pulls Truth out of the corner and makes the cover but Truth manages to kick out after the two count. Chris gets back up and begins stalking Truth but just before Truth gets to his feet, the lights go out. The fans cheer and begin chanting Undertaker’s name. The lights come back on but there is no Undertaker but Chris is standing above the fallen body of Truth. The referee looks really confused but Chris drops down on top of Truth so the referee makes the count.]

Spoiler:

[Chris gets back to his feet and snatches his WWE Championship from the referee before turning and looking up the ramp, expecting Undertaker. When nobody comes out, Chris shakes his head and heads up the ramp himself.]

[Eden Stiles in the Interview area and is joined by Darren Young. Eden asks Darren how he feels now that he has lost a match since his debut on Smackdown. Darren says it doesn’t matter because he is still undefeated in singles competition and that streak will go on. Darren says that Money In The Bank was a mere blip and he is still destined for greatness.]

~

[Jack Swagger’s music hits when we come back to the ring and he walks out with Abraham Washington. The two make their way down the ramp before Swagger gets in the ring and AW walks around the side. Randy Orton is out next to a big pop from the crowd. Randy quickly makes his way down the ramp before joining Swagger in the ring. Kofi Kingston’s music hits and he walks out onto the stage to boos from the crowd and with his Money In The Bank briefcase. A replay of the moment he won the match last night is shown as he makes his way down the ramp. By the time the video finishes, he is in the ring and has set his briefcase under the bottom turnbuckle. Christian is out last and he gets a relatively positive reaction as he comes out to his old/new theme which he introduced at Money In The Bank. As he makes his way out a replay of him spearing Swagger as he was hanging off the briefcase at the PPV is shown. By the time it is finished, he is in the ring and is standing next to Kofi.]

Jack Swagger w/ Abraham Washington & Randy Orton versus Kofi Kingston & Christian

[Swagger starts things off against Kofi, locking up with him in the centre of the ring. Swagger takes control and tosses Kofi into the corner before charging at him and squashing him against the turnbuckles. Swagger takes a few steps back and allows Kofi to stumble forward before snatching him and hitting the belly to belly suplex. Swagger gets back to his feet and drags Kofi into the corner before tagging in Randy. Randy enters the ring and begins to completely unload on Kofi, stomping away on his chest and abdomen. Kofi manages to block a stomp from Randy and grabs his foot before throwing him back. Kofi kips back up and jumps into the air before coming back down and hitting a big chop to the head of Randy. Randy hits the mat and Kofi runs over before tagging in Christian. Christian gets in and begins stalking Randy for the Spear. Randy gets up and Christian goes for the Spear but Randy sidesteps it before catching Christian with a kick to the face. Christian backs up and stands upright before being caught with a dropkick from Randy. Randy makes the cover on Christian but Christian quickly kicks out. Randy gets back up and begins stalking Christian. Christian soon gets up and Randy goes to pick him up for a backslam but Christian reverses it into a bulldog. Christian gets back up and tags in Kofi, who jumps over the top rope and lands on Randy with a leg drop to the head. Kofi rolls Randy onto his back and makes the cover but Randy kicks out after just the one count. Kofi gets back up and runs off the ropes before going for the Boom Drop but Randy manages to roll out of the way. Kofi hits the mat and Randy jumps to his feet. Randy walks over to his corner and tags in Swagger but doesn’t leave after doing so. Swagger goes to walk over to Kofi but Randy surprises him with a massive RKO out of nowhere. Randy gets to his knee and looks down at Swagger with a sly grin on his face before sliding out of the ring. AW meets him on the outside and begins shouting at him but Randy doesn’t listen for long before nailing AW with an RKO. Randy gets back to his feet and laughs as he heads backstage to major boos. Back in the ring, Kofi drags Swagger away from the ropes before making the cover for the three count.]

Spoiler:

[Kofi gets back to his feet and has his arm raised in victory before grabbing his briefcase and leaving, as Christian does the same.]

~

[Randy Orton walks down the hallway, a grin on his face after his actions in the ring. Eden Stiles runs over to him and asks why he hit Swagger with an RKO. Randy’s only reply was “I am going back to being me”.]

~

[The lights in the arena go out when we come back to the ringside area before Undertaker’s music hits. Undertaker walks out to big cheers from the crowd and does his usual slow entrance before getting in the ring. He grabs a mic and the lights remain at their purple tint as he speaks. Undertaker says that at Money In The Bank he returned because Chris Jericho sent out a challenge. Undertaker says that when Chris claimed to have beaten everyone but this is not true. Undertaker says that Chris has never defeated him when it matters so if Chris wants to prove himself he needs to beat him. Undertaker goes to continue but he is interrupted as Chris Jericho’s music hits. Chris comes charging down the ramp with a mic in hand before getting up on the apron, refusing to get in the ring. Chris says that somebody can’t just come out here and demand a WWE Championship Match after being out of action for three months, especially at Undertaker’s age. Chris goes to continue but is cut off by Undertaker, who tells him he is a coward if he doesn’t get in this ring. Undertaker also says that if Chris truly believes he is the best in the world then he would face him at Summerslam. Chris appears to have had enough and gets in the ring, walking right over to Undertaker. Chris says that he refuses to face Undertaker at Summerslam because he doesn’t have anything to prove to him but this prompts the music of Roddy Piper to hit. Roddy walks out onto stage and tells both men that he has heard enough talking. Roddy says that the two of them will face off at Summerslam and the WWE Championship will be on the line. Roddy heads backsage while Chris and Undertaker engage in a stareoff to close the show.]

[RAW comes on the air as its brand new theme song, Monster, blares through the speakers. The commentators introduce us to the show, welcoming us to the groundbreaking 1,000th episode of Monday Night RAW. The camera sweeps through the crowd, showing the sold out crowd. The camera snaps back round to the ring as Justin Roberts stands with a mic in his hand.]

Justin Roberts: “Ladies and Gentlemen hello and welcome to the historic 1,000th episode of Monday Night RAW! Please welcome at this time, for one night only, good ol’ JR, Jim Ross!”

Boomer Sooner!

[There is a massive pop from this stoked up crowd as Jim Ross walks out onto the stage. He waves out to the crowd as he walks down the ramp before walking around the side of the ring and joining Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole at the commentary booth. We cut back to Justin Roberts in the ring.]

Justin Roberts: “Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the ring announcer for tonight, Howard Finkel!”

[Howard Finkel walks out to a relatively good reaction from the crowd. He walks down the ramp and gets in the ring, shaking hands with Justin before Justin leaves the ring. Howard turns to the crowd with a grin on his face before speaking.]

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome at this time, the Chairman of the WWE, Mr McMahon!”

No Chance!

[The arena burst into cheers as Vince McMahon walks out onto the stage with a massive grin on his face. He plays up the crowd, gaining even more cheers, before proceeding down the ramp. He stomps up the steps before entering the ring and grabbing a mic.]

Vince McMahon: “History has been made! Tonight we are celebrating the landmark 1,000th episode of Monday Night RAW! Tonight you will be treated to some of the best matches in history and will feature both stars of today and stars of the past. You know it is times like these that I wish I had my company back in my own grasp. In fact, give me a hell yeah if you think I should have my company back.”

Crowd: “HELL YEAH!”

Vince McMahon: “Unfortunately it isn’t that simple. One day I will get the company though don’t you worry about that. For tonight, let’s just focus on the spectacle that is Monday Night RAW. It is time to get the ball rolling so enjoy the show and you’ll be hearing back from me again very soon.”

[Vince drops the mic and waves out to the crowd before leaving the ring. He heads backstage as Howard Finkel gets in the ring, ready to introduce the first match.]

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen the following match will be one fall to the finish!”

So Close Now!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing first from San Francisco, California and weighing in at 251lb, Jimmy Uso!”

You Look Fly Today!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing his opponent from The Isle Of Samoa and weighing in at 453lb, Rikishi!”

[The fans jump to their feet in cheers as Rikishi walks out onto the stage in his classic ring gear. He looks around at the crowd with a grin on his face as he slowly makes his way down the ramp. He walks up the steps before entering the ring and dancing a little for the crowd before turning and staring across at his son, ready for this match.]

Jimmy Uso versus Rikishi

[Jimmy charges at Rikishi as soon as the bell rings and Rikishi goes to catch him with a clothesline but Jimmy ducks underneath before waiting for Rikishi to turn around. Rikishi does so and is instantly hit with a dropkick from Jimmy. Rikishi stumbles back and Jimmy charges at him but Rikishi catches him before tossing him over his head. Rikishi gets back up just before Jimmy and Jimmy charges at Rikishi but Rikishi catches him with a big superkick which sends him down to the mat. Jimmy hits the mat and Rikishi makes the cover, only to get a two count. Rikishi gets back up and begins stalking Jimmy. Jimmy gets up and Rikishi goes for another superkick but Jimmy ducks underneath before rolling behind Rikishi. Jimmy gets back to his feet and waits for Rikishi to turn around before hitting him with a superkick. Rikishi stumbles back and Jimmy charges at him before hitting a big dropkick to the face of Rikishi, finally grounding him. Jimmy quickly gets back to his feet and runs out onto the apron. He climbs up to the top rope before diving down for a splash but Rikishi smartly rolls out of the way. Rikishi gets back to his feet and stalks Jimmy. Rikishi raises his thumb in the air and makes a cross with his other before hitting a risen Jimmy with the Samoan Spike. Jimmy rolls over to the corner and sits up and the fans begin to cheer as they know what is coming next. Rikishi walks over to him and turns his back on Jimmy before executing the Stink Face. Rikishi walks forward and lets Jimmy get back to his feet before sending him back down with a big superkick. Rikishi makes sure Jimmy is positioned right before climbing to the second rope. He bounces up and down a few times before jumping down and executing the Banzai Drop. Rikishi remains sitting on top of Jimmy as the referee counts the three.]

Spoiler:

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen here is your winner, Rikishi!”

[Rikishi gets back to his feet and has his arm raised in victory by the referee before helping up Jimmy. The two embrace before Rikishi motions for his music to hit. Rikishi and Jimmy begin to dance to a pop from the crowd. The two continue to dance as the scene fades.]

~

[A limousine pulls up outside of the arena and a few moments later the WWE COO Triple H steps out with a big grin on his face. He walks inside the arena as Jim Ross reminds us that Triple H will not be happy with what Vince McMahon said earlier on tonight.]

~

[Ric Flair stands in his office, evidently happy with the show so far tonight. Ric turns as he hears his office door opening and the fans literally explode with cheers as The Rock walks in. Rock and Ric shake hands before embracing each other. Ric welcomes Rock to the show and asks him how he is feeling about Summerslam. Rock just chuckles and says he is feeling very confident. Ric says that he has all the faith in him before Rock says he has to go prepare for his big announcement in the ring later.]

~

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen the following match will be one fall to the finish!”

Ancient Spirit!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing first from Mexico City, Mexico and weighing in at 180lb, Sin Cara!”

[Smoke begins to bellow over the entrance way as the fans cheer. There is a big explosion of pyro and when the smoke finally clears, Sin Cara runs out onto the stage. Sin Cara points out to the crowd before running down the ramp and sliding in the ring. He gets back to his feet before running off the ropes and springboarding backwards, landing it in a forward roll. Cara gets back to his feet and jumps up and down as everyone anticipates his opponent.]

Ohhhhhh Chavo!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing his opponent from El Paso, Texas and weighing in at 215lb,Chavo Guerrero!”

[The fans jump to their feet as Chavo Guerrero’s music hits. After a few minutes, there is no sign of Chavo and his music stops playing. The fans begin to boo but that soon changes.]

Viva La Raza!

[The fans burst into cheers once again as Eddie Guerrero’s music hits. The cheers only increase as Chavo and Vickie Guerrero drive round the side of the stage in Eddie Guerrero’s patented car, with the suspension causing it to bounce up and down. Chavo stops the car and steps onto the seat before doing the trademark taunt of Eddie. Chavo wears a black armband with Eddie’s name on it while Vickie wears a top reading “R.I.P Eddie” and with the back saying “RAW Is Eddie”. Chavo and Vickie both leave the car and walk down the ramp before Chavo gets in the ring. Vickie walks around the side and cheers on Chavo as this match gets underway.]

Sin Cara versus Chavo Guerrero w/ Vickie Guerrero

[Chavo and Cara both run at each other as the bell rings with Chavo going for a clothesline, only for Cara to duck underneath before bouncing off the ropes and catching Chavo on the rebound with an elbow to the jaw. Cara gets back to his feet and waits for Chavo to do the same before knocking him into the corner with a dropkick. Cara gets back to his feet and runs at Chavo in the corner but Chavo smartly moves out of the way and Cara just manages to stop himself from running into the corner. Cara turns back around and Chavo hits him with a hard right to the jaw which causes Cara to slump to the ground. Chavo begins to stomp away repeatedly on Cara before turning and doing Eddie’s taunt to a pop from the crowd. Chavo turns back around and kicks a rising Cara in the midsection before grabbing him for the suplex. Chavo lifts Cara up and hits the suplex but does not release his hold, instead pulling both himself and Cara back to his feet. Chavo goes for a second suplex but Cara blocks it before rolling Chavo into the small package for a two count. [Vince McMahon stands backstage, talking to a couple of the employees about how much of a good show it has been thus far. Vince slaps the guy on the shoulder before turning to leave but he turns right into Triple H. Triple H looks genuinely pissed off as he stares right through Vince.]

Triple H: “Listen Vince, I am glad you’re here tonight but you are here in the same form as every other legend is tonight. You are here to celebrate the milestone 1,000th episode of RAW, not to proclaim that you are coming back for your company. The board of directors gave control to me and that is the way it is going to stay. If you are going to make a problem about me being in control then you will leave me with no alternative than to have security escort you from the building. Now if you don’t mind I have things to do and people to see.”

[Triple H barges passed Vince, who stares forward with a pissed off look on his face.]

Gene Okerlund: “Ladies and Gentlemen good evening. I am being joined at this time by the WWE Champion, Chris Jericho. Chris, last Friday on Smackdown Roddy Piper announced that at Summerslam you will defend your WWE Championship against The Undertaker. How are you preparing for this match Chris?”

Chris Jericho: “Eugene, I do not need to prepare myself for The Undertaker. I have defeated The Undertaker before and I can defeat him again because he is a thing of the past. After I defeat The Underaker at Summerslam then I will truly have defeated everyone there is to defeat and will be considered the greatest WWE Champion in history because I am the best in the world at what I do and that is enough!”

Bret Hart: “Best in the world? Well I am the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be! You haven’t defeated me Chris so that best in the world title you like to hold for yourself is completely false.”

Just then Roddy Piper walks over and tells Drew that he is wrong, seeing as he is Scottish and is now a Hall Of Famer. Drew turns to Roddy and tells him to shut up and stop with the whole facade. Seth surprises him though and hits RVD with a stiff forearm shot to the jaw. RVD stumbles back and Seth knees him in the midsection before lifting him up and snapping him back down with a big brainbuster. Seth hooks the leg of RVD but only gains a two count. Seth gets back up and begins to stalk RVD. RVD gets to his feet and Seth throws him into the corner. Seth charges at RVD but RVD jumps up and avoids Seth’s attack and instead lands on the top rope. You see tonight we have seen many of the greatest legends in this industry come back and we’re only going to see more tonight but I believe that my opponent tonight is one guy that nobody would have guessed to have made it here tonight. All I’m going to say is that it is damn real.”

[John Cena runs out onto the stage and raises his arms in the air to a majority of boos from the crowd. He speaks into the camera and congratulates the WWE on this historic 1000th episode before turning and saluting the crowd. You Suck! You Suck! You Suck!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing his opponent hailing from Pitsburg, Pennsylvania and weighing in at 240lb, Kurt Angle!”

[The fans literally go insane as Kurt Angle slowly walks out onto the stage in a hoody with his face bowed, causing the hood to hide his face. Kurt stops on the stage and remains with his head bowed until pyro explodes behind him. At this moment Kurt throws his arms up and his jumper falls off, finally revealing his face. He clenches his teeth and we see his patented gum shield as he walks down the ramp. He hops onto the apron and looks in at Cena before entering the ring. He climbs to the second rope and raises his arms in the air before jumping down and staring across at Cena.]

John Cena versus Kurt Angle

[Kurt and John lock up in the centre of the ring to get things started, with Kurt getting the early advantage. Kurt locks John in a tight headlock before flipping him over onto his back and applying it even tighter. John manages to grab Kurt’s arm and pulls his head free before slipping back to his feet. Kurt begins rising but John is waiting for him to kick him in the midsection and throw him across the ring. Kurt gets back to his feet and waits for Cena to get up before grabbing him by the waist and nailing the German suplex. Kurt releases his grip and gets back to his feet, getting the crowd going. Kurt turns but he seems to have diverted his attention from Cena for too long as he turns right into a shoulder block. Cena gets back up and waits for Kurt to do the same before hitting him with rights and lefts to the abdomen. Cena backs Kurt into the corner before beginning to unload on the face of Kurt. Kurt eventually manages to block one of his shots and turns things around, getting Cena in the corner instead. Kurt holds onto the second rope and begins to thrust his shoulder into the midsection of Cena over and over again. Kurt finally gives up and takes a step back, allowing Cena to fall to the mat. Kurt pulls Cena out of the corner and hooks his leg for a two count. Kurt gets back to his feet and pulls down his straps, stalking a rising Cena. Cena gets to his feet and Kurt lifts him up for the Angle Slam but Cena manages to drop down behind Kurt. Cena picks Kurt up before slamming him back down with a back body drop. Cena is hurt but he manages to roll out under the bottom rope and begins pulling himself to his feet on the apron. He climbs to the top rope as Kurt begins rising and he looks set for the leg drop but Kurt gets a sudden burst of energy and runs up onto the top rope. He grabs Cena under the arms before nailing him with the belly to belly suplex. Both guys are now down in the centre of the ring and the crowd are completely behind Angle, chanting his name in an attempt to rally him to get up. Both men begin rising as the crowd reaches a count of seven. The referee gets to the count of nine and both men get to their feet. Cena is first to throw a punch, nailing Kurt over the jaw. Kurt responds with a right of his own and Cena begins to wobble before responding with another right hand to Kurt. Cena proceeds to hit Kurt with right after right until Kurt falls to the mat. Cena pulls Kurt back to his feet and whips him across the ring before meeting him on the rebound with a shoulder block. Cena gets back to his feet and raises his arm in the air before walking over to Kurt and giving him his “you can’t see me” taunt. Cena runs off the ropes, presumably going for the five knuckle shuffle, but Kurt is waiting for him when he comes back and ducks underneath Cena’s attempted clothesline before picking him up and nailing the Angle Slam. There is a loud cheer as Kurt gets to his feet and flexes his muscles to cheers from the crowd. Angle walks over to Cena’s feet and turns him onto his back before grabbing his ankle and locking in the Angle Lock. Angle locks in the hold tight but Cena is able to begin crawling over to the ropes. Cena just about reaches the bottom rope but Angle is quick to pull Cena back to the centre of the ring and drops to the mat, wrapping his legs around the leg of Cena. Cena is now unable to move but still struggles to get free. Cena is just about able to flip Angle onto his front but Angle manages to shift his weight, causing Cena’s attempt to fail. Cena begins to pass out and the referee lifts his arm up before letting it drop back down. The referee does this for a second time and Cena’s arm once again drops down. The referee raises Cena’s arm up for the third drop but Cena manages to stop it from hitting the mat, allowing the match to continue. Cena seems to have gotten one last burst of energy and he begins trying to crawl across to the ropes again but Angle’s hold is too strong. Cena finally has no choice but to give in and tap out.]

Spoiler:

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen here is your winner, Kurt Angle!”

[Kurt finally releases his hold as John taps out. Kurt lies back with his arms stretched out and the referee raises his arm in victory. Kurt uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet before raising his arms in the air. He continues celebrating in the ring before leaving and walking around the ringside crowd, slapping hands with them all. Kurt reaches the bottom of the ramp and begins to back up it, blowing kisses out to the crowd and thanking them.]

~

[We open up in the locker room, which is completely filled with stars of today and stars of the past. Guys like Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd etc. sit celebrating tonight’s show with guys like Ron Simmons, JBL, Tazz, DDP etc. William Regal stands up on one of the benches with a glass of champagne in his hand and proposes a toast to the success of the WWE and RAW and look forward to another 1000 episodes. Everybody joins him in his toast and go back to celebrating as the scene fades.]

~

[We come back to the ring and Howard Finkel stands in the centre with a microphone in his hand.]

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome at this time...”

Are You Ready?

Howard Finkel: “... D-Generation X!”

[The fans jump to their feet as DX’s music hits. Triple H slowly walks out in a suit and the fans begin to boo but Triple H just laughs. He puts his finger up, as if wanting the crowd to pause. He takes off his blazer before ripping off his shirt, revealing a DX top. Shawn Michaels runs out after him in his signature DX gear. The two cross over their arms in an X before slapping hands. The two men walk down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans on their way. They get in the ring and both grab a mic before standing in the centre of the ring. Before Triple H begins to speak, he looks around him as if confused about something.]

Triple H: “Shawn, is it just me or are there a few guys missing?”

Shawn Michaels: “Umm, I don’t think so Hunter. Were you expecting someone else?”

Triple H: “Well I didn’t expect Chyna to show up, you know given the big movie role she’s got going for her but I just get the feeling somebody else is missing. I’m sorry Shawn but this just isn’t a reunion unless the entire class are here.”

[Triple H shrugs his shoulders and walks as if he is about to leave but Shawn grabs him and stops him. Shawn pulls Triple H back into the centre of the ring and whispers something into his ear.]

Triple H: “Really? He’s under the ring? You sure?”

[Shawn nods and then shouts for someone to come out from under the ring. DX’s music hits and the fans cheer as the ring apron begins to shake. However, they jeer in disappointment as Hornswoggle runs out from under the ring. Hornswoggle jumps in the ring with a DX top on and begins to do the crotch chop over and over again.]

Triple H: “I didn’t mean the midget Shawn! I meant the real DX; the guys that drove an army tank into WCW. The guys who shoved their bosses face up a giant’s ass. Not some guy who isn’t even big enough to kiss my ass.”

[Triple H throws his arms up and steps out onto the apron, ready to leave.]

Are You Ready?

[The fans begin to cheer again as DX’s music hits once again. Triple H steps back into the ring and stands alongside Shawn Michaels as X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn walk out onto the stage. The all make an X with their arms and pose for the crowd before proceeding down the ramp. They all hop onto the apron before getting in the ring and embracing Shawn and Triple H. X-Pac takes a step back before hitting Hornswoggle hard in the face with a superkick. X-Pac kicks Hornswoggle out of the ring before joining the other guys in the centre of the ring.]

Triple H: “Now this is what I was talking about. This is the D-Generation X I was talking about. Shawn Michaels, X-Pac, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg and the king of the crop, Triple H!”

[The five of them laugh as the crowd give a pop for them all.]

X-Pac: “Who says you’re the “king of the crop” Hunter? Last I checked, I was the one who co-starred in Chyna’s first movie.”

[X-Pac winks to the other four, who look away in disgust. Road Dogg snatches the mic from X-Pac’s hands, ensuring he can’t speak anymore.]

Road Dogg: “Never admit that again! That is the most disgusting thing that anyone can ever do in their life. You need to get some help man; your ass better call somebody!”

[Road Dogg gains a small pop as he uses his signature line, before throwing the mic over to Billy.]

Billy Gunn: “The last time I stepped foot in a WWE ring was eight years ago and I have never been back since. Now, however, I am here for one reason and one reason only; to have one last moment in this ring with the guys who gave me the greatest moments of my career.”

Triple H: “Guys, are you ready?”

[The crowd respond with a massive burst of cheers and all five guys in the ring look around grinning. Triple H climbs up to the second rope and looks out to the crowd before continuing.]

Triple H: “No I said; ARE YOU REAAAAADY?!”

[The fans cheer even louder for this before Triple jumps down and joins the other five in the centre of the ring. They all lean over and face down at the mat before Triple H continues.]

Triple H: “Then for the thousands in attendance and for the millions watching at home, and for Chyna when she gets off of her movie set; llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllet’s get ready to SUCK IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!”

[They all stand up straight and throw their arms in the air as the crowd join in with the “suck it” chant. Triple H throws down his mic and the five guys stand in a line in the centre of the ring. They all raise their arms in the air before the five do the crotch chop as a massive X in green pyro explodes behind them. Triple H, Billy, Dogg and Shawn all climb the corners and raise their arms in an X while X-Pac climbs onto a random rope and does the same. They all continue to pander to the crowd in the ring as the scene fades.]

~

[CM Punk and Daniel Bryan stand backstage, leaning on a crate near the stage entranceway. The two are trying to guess at who their partners will be in the Main Event tonight. Daniel Bryan says that he has a feeling Triple H might join them tonight but CM Punk says that he has a sneaky feeling Vince McMahon will try and get in the match. The two laugh at this as Punk is obviously joking before a crew worker runs over and tells them their match is about to begin.]

~

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen the following 8 Man Tag Team Match will be one fall to the finish!”

I’m Here To Show The World! I’m Here To Show The World!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing first hailing from Hollywood, Florida and weighing in at 213lb, he is the 2012 RAW Money In The Bank winner, Dolph Ziggler!”

[The fans begin to boo as Vickie Guerrero struts out onto the stage. She puts out her arm and Dolph Ziggler storms out with the Money In The Bank briefcase in his hand. Both he and Vickie head down the ramp before Dolph hops up onto the apron and gets in the ring. Vickie walks around the side and stands against the barricade as Dolph awaits his opponents.]

I Hear Voices In My Head!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing his tag team partner hailing from St Louis, Missouri and weighing in at 235lb, Randy Orton!”

[Randy Orton slowly stalks out onto the stage to massive cheers from the hometown crowd. As he makes his way down the ramp, a replay of last Friday on Smackdown when he RKOd Jack Swagger is shown. By the time the replay is finished, Randy is in the ring and has joined Dolph in the corner.]

Here Comes The Pain!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing their tag team partner hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota and weighing in at 266lb, Brock Lesnar!”

[The fans continue to cheer as Brock Lesnar slowly walks out onto the stage, the first time he has been seen since his loss at No Way Out. Lesnar stops on the stage and jumps up and down before throwing down his arms and pyro explodes. He continues down the ramp, glaring out at the crowd on his way. He jumps up onto the apron and stares in at his partners before entering the ring.]

Unstable!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing their tag team partner weighing in at 275lb, The Ultimate Warrior!”

[The fans are in complete shock as Ultimate Warrior runs out onto the stage. He stops on the stage and pushes his arms up in the air before running down the ramp. He runs around the ring before jumping onto the apron. He grabs onto the top rope and throws it up and down before stepping in the ring and joining his three partners in the corner.]

Flight Of The Valkyries!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing their opponents, first, hailing from Aberdeen, Washington and weighing in at 210lb, Daniel Bryan!”

[Daniel Bryan runs out onto the stage with his Intercontinental Championship around his waist. He repeatedly thrusts his arms in the air, to massive “YES” chants from the crowd. He runs down the ramp and stops outside of the ring, waiting for his partners.]

Look In My Eyes, What Do You See? The Cult Of Personality!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing his tag team partner hailing from Chicago, Illinois and weighing in at 218lb, CM Punk!”

[The fans continue to cheer as CM Punk runs out onto the stage, swinging his right arm. He stops on the stage and kneels down, rubbing the ground with his hand. He gets back up and shouts out “its clobbering time” before punching the air. He turns around and spreads out his arms before backing down the ramp. He joins Bryan outside of the ring before the two of them slide in the ring. They stand up in the corner and talk away to themselves before looking up the ramp for their partners.]

When It Comes Crashing Down And It Hurts Inside!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing their tag team partner hailing from Venice Beach, California and weighing in at 302lb, Hulk Hogan!”

[The crowd literally go insane as Hulk Hogan slowly walks out onto the stage in his signature ring gear. He does his signature ear taunt, getting the crowd to cheer even louder. He walks down the ramp, pointing around dot all the fans on his way. He walks up the steps and enters the ring before slapping hands with Punk and Bryan. He proceeds to walk right over to the other team’s corner and begins getting in the face of Warrior, a guy he has some personal animosity against him. Punk and Bryan pull Hogan back into their corner and calm him down as they await their partner.]

DUN DUN - DUN DUN DUN - DUN DUN - DUN DUN DUN!

Howard Finkel: “Introducing their tag team partner hailing from Atlanta, Georgia and weighing in at 285lb, Goldberg!”

[There is a massive explosion of pyro, which barely drowns out the cheers from the crowd. As the smoke clears, Goldberg is revealed to be standing on the stage. Goldberg throws his arms in the air, causing another explosion of pyro, before continuing down the ramp. Goldberg jumps onto the apron and stares in at Brock Lesnar, who looks to be in complete shock. Goldberg steps in the ring and joins his partners in the corner, as the referee attempts to get this match started.]

Dolph Ziggler, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar & The Ultimate Warrior versus Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Hulk Hogan & Goldberg

[Punk and Dolph start things off by locking up in the centre of the ring. Punk sneaks round the back of Dolph and wraps his arms around his waist before lifting him in the air and slamming him back down. Punk releases his grip and gets back to his feet a few seconds before Dolph. Dolph gets up and Punk goes to kick him in the head but Dolph ducks underneath before grabbing Punk’s head and slamming it down onto his own knee. Dolph hooks the leg of Punk but is only able to get a one count. Dolph gets back to his feet and stomps away at Punk before dragging him over to his corner and tagging in Orton. Orton steps in the ring and picks up where Dolph left off, stomping away at him until he sits up in the corner. Orton continues to stomp down on the chest of Punk before taking a few steps back. Orton lets Punk get up to his feet before kicking him in the midsection and throwing him into the centre of the ring. Orton waits for Punk to get back to his feet before nailing him in the jaw with a picture perfect dropkick. Orton drops down on top of Punk and makes the cover but Punk is able to kick out after the two count. Orton gets back to his feet and Punk begins crawling to his corner but Orton stomps down on Punk’s leg, not allowing him to move any further. Orton grabs Punk’s leg and begins dragging him back but Punk manages to roll over onto his back and catches Orton with a kick to the face. Orton stumbles back into the corner and Lesnar tags himself in at the same time as Punk lunges over to his corner and tags in Goldberg. Both Goldberg and Lesnar get in the ring at the same time and stare across at each other from opposite sides of the ring; shades of Wrestlemania XX. The two men walk up to each other and meet in the centre of the ring, getting right into the other’s face. Lesnar goes to throw a right hand at Goldberg but Goldberg catches it and instead begins to unload on Lesnar with both rights and lefts. Goldberg backs Lesnar into the ropes before grabbing his arm and throwing him across the ring. Brock rebounds off the ropes and goes to clothesline Goldberg but Goldberg ducks underneath and runs off the ropes before coming back with a massive Spear to Lesnar. The fans give a loud pop as Golbderg makes the cover but he is only able to get a two count. Goldberg gets back to his feet and pulls Lesnar up with him. Goldberg gets Lesnar’s head in between his legs and begins lifting him up for the Jackhammer but Lesnar is able to slip free and land on his feet behind Goldberg. Lesnar falls back into his corner and gets the tag to Warrior before dropping to the mat and rolling to the outside. Warrior gets in the ring and looks ready to fight Goldberg but Hogan shouts for Goldberg to tag him in. The fans are on their feet, chanting Hogan’s name. Goldberg reluctantly walks over and tags in Hogan, who walks right over to the centre of the ring and motions for Warrior to bring it. Warrior walks over and shoves Hogan right in the fence. Hogan stumbles back a little and looks away from Warrior with an angry look on his face. Hogan turns back to Warrior and points at him as the crowd shout “you”. Warrior goes to throw a right hand for Hogan but Hogan catches it and hits Warrior with a right hand of his own which sends Warrior to the mat. Warrior is soon back up but Hogan lifts him into the air and powerslams him back down. Hogan looks around to the crowd as Warrior holds the small of his back in pain. Hogan does his usual ear taunt before ripping off his top. Hogan proceeds to run off the ropes and goes for the Leg Drop but Warrior rolls out of the way and Hogan hits the mat. Warrior gets back to his feet as Hogan ends up on his back in the ring. Warrior runs off the ropes and comes crashing down on top of Hogan with the Running Splash. Warrior hooks the leg of Hogan but Bryan comes running in to break up the count just before the referee counts the three. Bryan gets back to his feet but turns right into a massive RKO from Orton. Orton gets back to his feet but is surprised by Goldberg who comes charging at him and takes him out with a big Spear. Orton rolls out of the ring at the same time as Bryan and Goldberg gets back up and is met by the Zig Zag from Dolph, who had sneaked in behind Goldberg. Dolph gets back up and taunts to the crowd as Goldberg rolls out of the ring. Dolph turns around and walks right into a massive kick to the side of the head from Punk. Punk kicks Dolph out of the ring but Warrior sneaks up behind him and clotheslines him from behind and over the top rope. Warrior grabs onto the top rope and begins to throw it up and down, shouting out to the crowd. Warrior turns around and walks right into a massive big boot from Hogan. Warrior hits the mat and Hogan begins to pander to the crowd, putting his hand to his ear. After going around all four sides of the ring, Hogan runs off the ropes before nailing the Leg Drop on Warrior. Hogan hooks the leg of Warrior and the referee counts the 1..2..3!]

Spoiler:

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen here are your winners, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Hulk Hogan and Goldberg!”

[Hogan gets back to his feet and shouts for everyone else to get back in the ring. He waits until the other seven guys are back on their feet before they all raise each other’s arms in the air. Hogan motions for somebody to come out from the back and everyone in the back begins to pile out onto the stage. Most guys make their way down the ramp and get in the ring but some of the lower card guys remain on the stage. The ring begins to fill up with legends and current WWE superstars as pyro explodes all around the arena. Confetti begins to fall from the rafters as everybody celebrates this historic night in the ring as the credits begin to roll.]

Well first off...Awesome choice of a new theme. My favorite band I may like to say!

I can honestly say, I was NOT expecting John Cena to tap out, thats almost unheard of in the WWE these days, and the match itself was awesome, and a great opener to set the tone of your show.

Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Hulk Hogan & Goldberg is like a dream team come true!

Overall Karl, I loved it! 8.9 out of 10! cheers

Thanks for the review man!

I was trolling YouTube all of last week trying to find a song that would be good for the RAW theme and it was so hard trying to find a song that fit. In the end it wasn't until I was in bed listening to music that this one came on and it fit.

Since it was a historic episode every match had to have a definitive result so by having Cena tap out to Angle, it made the result clear.

July 27th 2012

[Smackdown comes on the air and Know Your Enemy begins to blare through the speakers. The cameras sweep through the crowd, showing the signs supporting various supporters. The commentators welcome us to the show before the camera snaps round to the stage as Chris Jericho walks out in a suit with the WWE Championship over his shoulder. There is an uproar of “Undertaker” chants as Chris slowly makes his way down the ramp. Chris gets in the ring and mentions how he defeated a legend in Bret Hart this past Monday night on the 1,000th episode of RAW. Chris continues to say that this further proves that he is the best wrestler in history and after he defeats Undertaker at Summerslam, he will finally cement his name in history. This leads Chris on to his next point; his match with Undertaker at Summerslam. Chris says that since this is such a special occasion, the match itself must be just as special. Chris says that to make this special he wants sole control of choosing the stipulation for the match but on this note, Chris is interrupted by Smackdown General Manager Roddy Piper. Roddy walks out onto the stage with a mic in hand and informs Chris that just because he is the WWE Champion does not give him the right to make decisions about everything he wants to. This leads Roddy on to say that tonight both he and Undertaker will compete in separate matches and the man who wins in the quickest time will have the right to choose the match in which the WWE Championship will be defended in at Summerslam. Roddy tells Chris he better go to the back and prepare for his match before turning and leaving himself. Chris leaves the ring soon after and heads backstage before Justin Roberts gets in the ring and announces this will be a Tag Team Match in the Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament. Johnny Curtis is out first to a very small reaction from the crowd. He runs down the ramp before getting in the ring before R-Truth makes his way out. As Truth makes his way down the ramp, Matt Striker comments on how Truth was Johnny’s mentor in Season 2 of NXT. Truth gets in the ring before Kane makes his way out to an explosion of pyro on the stage. He makes his way down the ramp with his United States Championship around his waist. He gets in the ring before Daniel Bryan makes his way out with his Intercontinental Championship around his waist. Bryan gets in the ring and joins Kane in an uneasy partnership as this match is about to get underway.]

Johnny Curtis & R-Truth versus Kane & Daniel Bryan ~ Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament

[Johnny and Bryan start things of by trading kicks in the centre of the ring. Bryan takes the advantage and buckles Johnny’s leg with a swift kick to the side of it. Bryan runs off the ropes and goes for a flying knee to the jaw but Johnny manages to duck underneath it. Johnny gets back to his feet and turns as Bryan charges at him again but meets him with a stiff dropkick. Johnny hooks the leg of Bryan but Bryan is quick to kick out. Johnny gets back up and drags Bryan into the corner, tagging in Truth. Truth springs over the top rope and lands on top of Bryan with a leg drop. Truth gets back to his feet and waits for Bryan to get back up as well before kicking him in the midsection. Truth goes to lift Bryan up but Bryan locks it before punching Truth over and over again in the midsection. Truth releases his grip and Bryan shoves him back a little before charging at Truth and taking him down with a big elbow to the jaw. Bryan gets back to his feet and stumbles back into the corner, allowing Kane to tag himself in. Kane steps over the top rope and Truth charges at him but Kane just grabs Truth by the throat. Kane throws Truth back but Truth manages to get back up quick. However, as soon as he charges at Kane he is met with a big boot to the face. Kane begins to stalk Truth as he flops around the mat. Truth begins rising and Kane throws his arm in the air, wiggling his fingers as he warms up his hand for the Chokeslam. Truth gets up and turns right into Kane, who grabs him by the throat. Kane is ready to lift him up for the Chokeslam but notices Johnny perched on the top rope. Johnny dives down at Kane but Kane catches him by the throat with his free hand. Kane is ready to lift both guys up for a Chokeslam but both guys kick Kane in the midsection. Kane doubles over and both guys grab him for the double DDT but Bryan comes flying out of nowhere and hits both guys with a double dropkick. Johnny rolls out of the ring and Bryan does the same at the opposite side of the ring, leaving a risen Kane and a downed Truth in the ring. Kane grabs Truth by the throat and hoists him to his feet before pulling him up into the air and slamming him back down with a Chokeslam. Kane drops down on top of Truth and hooks the leg for the 1..2..3!]

Spoiler:

[Kane gets back to his feet and has his arm raised in victory by the referee before snatching his United States Championship. Kane raises it in the air as Bryan slides in next to him with his Intercontinental Championship in his hands. Both men stand side by side and raise their belts in the air to cheers from the crowd. This moment of solitude is soon ended as Kane grabs Bryan by the throat and hits him with the Chokeslam out of nowhere. Kane picks back up his United States Championship and throws it over his shoulder before leaving the ring and heading backstage.]

~

[We open up backstage and there are loud cheers heard from the crowd as Rey Mysterio is seen heading into the arena. He has a big grin on his face as he heads down the corridor, a destination obviously in mind.]

~

[We come back to the ring and Darren Young makes his way out to boos from the crowd. Darren slowly walks down the ramp, shouting out obscenities to the crowd. He gets in the ring and Undertaker is out next, making his usual slow entrance. He eventually gets in the ring and gets off all his entrance gear before preparing to finish this one early.]

Darren Young versus The Undertaker ~ Undertaker’s Beat The Clock Challenge

[Undertaker goes to hit Young with a right hand straight off the bat but Young manages to avoid it and runs to the other side of the ring. Young taunts Undertaker and motions for him to bring it. Undertaker charges at Young once again but for the second time in a row, Young ducks underneath and runs across to the opposite side of the ring. Young begins to become overly confident and speaks out to the crowd. Undertaker sees his opportunity and runs over to Young, backing him into the corner. Undertaker begins to unload on Young with shot after shot to the midsection. Undertaker grabs Young by the hand and lifts him up into the air before throwing him across the ring. Undertaker begins to stalk Young for a Chokeslam but Young manages to duck underneath it before running off the ropes. Young comes bouncing off of the ropes and goes for a running crossbody on Undertaker but Undertaker catches him. Undertaker turns Young around and gets him in position before nailing the Chokeslam. Undertaker pulls Young away from the ropes before hooking the leg for the three count.]

Spoiler:

[Undertaker gets back to his feet and looks up at the titantron, noticing his quick time. Undertaker drops down to one knee and raises his arm up as the lights go out. When the lights come back on, Undertaker is no longer in the ring and Young is sitting in the corner, pissed off after his loss.]

~

[Eden Stiles stands in the interview area and is standing alongside Kofi Kingston, who has the Smackdown Money In The Bank briefcase in his hands. Eden goes to ask Kofi a question but Kofi puts his hand over her mouth and tells her to quiet down. Kofi says that he requested this interview because he has something to say to the fans. Kofi says that he is sick of being looked down upon by these condescending fans and he is going to do something to change that. Kofi says that starting next week he is going to issue an Open Challenge to anyone in the back every week. Kofi says that he is open to all challenges because he is about to prove himself worthy of being World Champion. As for tonight, he has a match to go prepare for.]

~

[Randy Orton is walking through the hallway backstage with a sly grin on his face. Jack Swagger runs over to him and gets in his face, asking what the hell he was doing last week. Orton looks at Jack with a glare on his face before attempting to barge passed Jack. Jack stops Orton and pushes him back but Orton doesn’t take this lightly and takes down Jack with a big RKO. Orton gets back to his feet and laughs at the downed Jack before continuing on down the corridor.]

~

[We come back to the ring and Kofi Kingston makes his way out with his briefcase to boos from the crowd. He gets in the ring before Booker T makes his way out and is being accompanied to the ring by Abraham Washington. Josh Mathews notes that Tyson Kidd recently announced that he will be continuing to team up with Booker T following their pairing in the Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament.]

Kofi Kingston versus Booker T w/ Abraham Washington

[Kofi and Booker lock up in the centre of the ring to get things started. Neither man are able to get a proper advantage so they both release their holds and take a step back. Booker goes to clothesline Kofi but Kofi ducks underneath before waiting for Booker to turn back around and hitting him with a pele kick. Kofi gets back up and drags Booker away from the ropes before dropping down on top of him and making the cover. Booker manages to kick out after a two count but is evidently dazed after the kick to his head. Booker gets to his feet and catches a right hand from Kofi before shoving him back into the ropes. Booker proceeds to kick him in the midsection and throw him across the ring. Booker catches Kofi on the rebound and hitting him with a flapjack. Booker gets back to his feet and panders to the crowd, trying to gain some momentum from them. Booker turns as Kofi begins rising and runs off the ropes before going for the Scissor Kick but Kofi manages to avoid it at the last minute. Kofi waits for Booker to get back up before going for Trouble In Paradise but Booker is able to avoid that. Booker waits for Kofi to turn around before kicking him in the midsection and backing him into the corner. Booker begins to hit Kofi over the jaw over and over again to cheers from the crowd. Booker backs up and lets Kofi stumble forward before going to pick him up into the air but Kofi reverses it at the last minute and turns it into a sunset flip for a close two count. Kofi lets Booker roll back and both guys get back to their feet at the same time. Booker goes to punch Kofi but he catches it and shoves him back before going for the Trouble In Paradise yet again. Booker dodges it and quickly spins Kofi around, snatching him for the Book End. Kofi hits Booker over the head multiple times with his elbow until Booker releases his grip. Kofi kicks Booker in the knee and Booker falls to one knee. Kofi takes a step back and lets Booker get back to his feet before hitting him with a Jumping Reverse STO. Booker flops over onto his back and Kofi hooks his leg for the three count.]

Spoiler:

Lilian Garcia: “Here is your winner, Kofi Kingston!”

[Kofi gets back to his feet and picks up his briefcase before raising it in the air. He climbs to the second rope and slaps his briefcase before raising it in the air once more. He climbs down and heads backstage as Booker meets AW on the outside.]

[We come back to the ring and Evan Bourne makes his way out to boos from the crowd. He quickly runs down the ramp and gets in the ring before Sin Cara makes his way out. Cara runs down the ramp and gets in the ring opposite Evan, ready for this match.]

Evan Bourne versus Sin Cara

[Bourne charges at Cara straight off the bat and goes to hit Cara with a hurricanrana but Cara catches him and throws him over his head onto the top rope. Bourne manages to stop himself from going chest first into the top turnbuckle and instead manages to land on it. Bourne stands up and watches Cara as he turns around before diving down and hitting him with the moonsault. Bourne hooks the leg of Cara but Cara is able to kick out. Bourne gets up and waits for Cara to do the same before dropkicking him back into the ropes. Bourne gets back up and charges at Cara for a running crossbody but Cara ducks underneath. Bourne goes flying over the top rope but he manages to grab onto it and land safely on the apron. Bourne waits for Cara to turn around before going to propel himself over the top rope for a clothesline but Cara catches him in midair with a big dropkick. Cara rolls over and hooks the leg of Bourne but Bourne kicks out after the two count. Cara gets back to his feet and pulls Bourne up before whipping him across the ring. Cara catches Bourne on the rebound with a hurricanrana which sends Bourne flying across to the corner. Bourne gets back to his feet but Cara soon meets him in the corner, kicking away at Bourne’s midsection. Cara lifts Bourne onto the top rope and begins climbing up after him but Bourne has Cara’s number and kicks away at him until he falls back down to the mat. Bourne quickly climbs up to his feet on the top rope before diving down for Air Bourne but Cara rolls out of the way. Bourne is able to land on his feet but his right leg seems to buckle as he lands. Bourne begins limping away from Cara but Cara spins him around before jumping up and beginning to spin Bourne around with the tilt-a-whirl headscissors. Finally Cara transitions it into a single arm takedown, driving Bourne into the mat. Cara rolls Bourne onto his back before hooking his leg for the three count.]

Spoiler:

[Cara gets back to his feet as he is announced the winner and has his arm raised in victory by the referee. Doctors come rushing down to the ring and check on Bourne as he holds his ankle on the ground on the outside, screaming in pain. Just then, Rey Mysterio’s music hits and everyone sits in wonder as he walks out onto the stage. He slowly makes his way down the ramp before getting a mic and jumping in the ring. He starts off by apologising to Sin Cara in Spanish before turning to the crowd and saying that he is out here for one reason and one reason only. Rey says that since Sin Cara joined the WWE everyone has been begging both himself and Cara to face off in a Dream Match. Rey then says that he wants to give the fans that Dream Match in three weeks at Summerslam. There is a loud pop from the crowd as Rey then turns and lays down the Challenge to Cara in Spanish. Rey extends his hand to Cara and Cara looks around at the crowd as if asking for their opinion, prompting very loud “SI” chants from the crowd. Cara then turns to Rey and nods his head, proceeding to shake the hand of Rey. The fans cheer even louder as the two men square up to each other, staring right through each other.]

[We open up in the locker room area as Chris Jericho sits in a seat, taping up his wrists in preparation of his match in the Main Event, in which he has to win it in a shorter time than 3.]

[We come back to the ring with Rey Mysterio still in the ring after his challenge to a Summerslam Match against Sin Cara was accepted. Lilian Garcia announces that this will be a Tag Team #1 Contender Match. Percy Watson is out next to a small amount of cheers from the crowd. He dances down the ramp before joining Rey in the ring. Titus O’Niel is out next and, as he makes his way down the ramp, a video of Andy Leavine laying him out last week on RAW is shown. When the video ends, Titus is in the ring and JTG begins making his way out. JTG is quick in making his way down the ramp before joining Titus in the ring.]

Rey Mysterio & Percy Watson versus Titus O’Neil[ i]&[/i] JTG ~ Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament Match

[Titus and Percy start things off, with Titus taking down Percy with a massive clothesline. The weeks of pent up frustration on the part of Titus is taken out on the man who has defeated him for two straight weeks, Percy, as he lays into him with right hand after right hand to the face. Titus pulls him back to his feet and knees him hard in the midsection before grabbing him by the throat and tossing him into the corner. Titus tags in JTG, who gets in the ring and begins to kick away at Percy in the corner. JTG drags Percy out of the corner and kicks him in the midsection before hitting him with a DDT. JTG rolls Percy onto his back and hooks the leg but only garners a one count. JTG gets back to his feet and grabs Percy’s foot before dragging him back into the corner and tagging in Titus. Titus stomps away at Percy’s chest and abdomen before pulling him to his feet. Titus shouts in Percy’s face before hitting him over the jaw with a hard right hand. Percy falls to the mat and Titus drops down on top of him for the cover but only gets a two count. Titus gets back up and goes to lift Percy up as well but Percy meets him with multiple right hands to his midsection. Titus doubles over and Percy hits him with an uppercut which causes Titus to stumble backwards. Titus bounces off the ropes and comes back for a clothesline on Percy but he manages to duck underneath before lunging over to his corner and getting the tag to Rey. Rey jumps up onto the top rope and uses it to springboard over and catch Titus with a hurricanrand. Rey jumps back to his feet and waits for Titus to do the same before hitting him with a couple forearm shots to the head. Rey backs Titus into the ropes and goes to whip him across the ring but Titus turns it around and whips Rey across instead. Titus goes to clothesline Rey but Rey ducks underneath and bounces off the ropes before hailing Titus with a dropkick. Rey then runs over to Titus’ corner and knocks JTG down to the floor with a right hand before turning and charging at Titus, hitting the 619. Rey then jumps onto the top rope before diving down with a splash for the 1..2..3!]

[We come back to the ring and AJ skips out and down the ramp as Lilian Garcia announces this will be a #1 Contender Match to determine who will face Kharma for the Women’s Championship at Summerslam. AJ gets in the ring and Natalya is out next to both cheers and boos from the crowd. Natalya slowly makes her way down the ramp before getting in the ring as Tamina makes her way out. Tamina walks down the ramp to cheers from the crowd before getting the ring as Beth Phoenix makes her way out last. Beth slowly walks down the ramp to the usual mixed reaction from the crowd before getting in the ring. Before the match is able to start, Kharma’s music hits and the Women’s Champion walks out onto the stage to watch this match up close.]

AJ versus Natalya versus Tamina versus Beth Phoenix ~ Women’s Championship #1 Contender

[Natalya and Beth both go on the attack straight away. Beth takes AJ into the corner and begins to punch away at her while Natalya takes it to Tamina in the opposite corner. Natalya and Beth both nod at each other and go to throw both Tamina and AJ into each other but both women are able to reverse it and cause Beth and Natalya to collide in the centre of the ring. Both Beth and Natalya stumble back into respective roll ups but AJ rolls up Beth before Tamina rolls up Natalya so the referee counts her cover. However, Tamina realises this and instantly pounces off of Natalya and breaks up AJ’s cover on Beth. Tamina grabs AJ by the hair and drags her off of Beth before getting AJ up on her shoulders. Tamina looks set for the Samoan Drop but Natalya comes from behind and chop blocks Tamina. Tamina drops AJ and buckles down to one leg before Natalya comes from behind and knees Tamina in the back of the head. Natalya quickly rolls Tamina onto her back and makes the cover but before the referee is even able to count one, Beth drags Natalya off of her. Natalya gets to her feet and these two friends come face to face, arguing over what Beth just done. Beth goes to slap Natalya but before she connects, AJ rolls Natalya up, pulling her out of Beth’s way. The referee begins to make the count but Beth quickly breaks up the cover. AJ gets back to her feet and goes to slap Beth but Beth grabs AJ’s wrist before grabbing her by the head and tossing her over the top rope and to the outside. Beth turns in time to avoid an attempted attack from Natalya, pulling down the top rope as she does so which sends Natalya toppling to the outside as well. Beth gets back up and is met by Tamina, who kicks her hard in the midsection. Beth doubles over and Tamina grabs her by the head, dragging her into the centre of the ring in the process. Beth has a last ditched effort to hit Tamina over the face but Tamina ducks underneath and uses her own momentum to get her up on her shoulders. Tamina quickly nails Beth and goes to go for the cover but changes her mind at the last minute. Tamina gets back to her feet and steps out onto the apron before climbing up to the top rope. Tamina stands up straight and dives down for the Snuka Splash but Beth rolls out of the way at the last minute. Tamina hits the mat hard and Beth slowly gets back to her feet. Tamina begins getting to her feet so Beth quickly grabs her from behind, hooking her arms behind her. Beth pulls Tamina up to her feet before lifting her in the air and slamming her back down with the Glam Slam. Beth makes sure that neither AJ or Natalya will be coming in the ring before hooking the leg of Tamina for the three count.]

Spoiler:

[Beth gets back to her feet and kicks Tamina away from her before walking over to the ropes. Beth stares up the ramp at Kharma, who is standing on the stage with her Women’s Championship on her shoulder. Beth gets up onto the second rope and motions for the Championship belt as the two continue to engage in a staredown.]

~

[Eden Stiles stands in the interview area and there are an onslaught of boos from the crowd as the shot widens to allow Randy Orton to walk into it. Randy begins to grin as he hears the boos and Eden asks him the question that has been on everyone’s mind after Randy’s actions last week; why did he attack Jack Swagger and turn his back on the WWE Universe? Randy looks down at Eden and states that he did what he had do. Randy says that for far too long he has pandered to these fans and now he has had enough. Randy says he is going back to being himself because that is who he wants to be. Randy says that from this point onwards he will be himself and only himself and to hell with these fans. Randy storms off with the boos from the crowd growing ever louder.]

~

[We come back to the ring with Jack Swagger making his way out with Abraham Washington. Jack is holding his head, obviously still in pain following the RKO he receives on the concrete earlier on tonight. Jack gets in the ring and leaves AW on the outside as Chris Jericho begins making his way out. Chris slowly walks down the ring as the commentators remind us that Chris has to win in under the time of 3. Chris gets in the ring and stands opposite Jack, waiting for the bell.]

Jack Swagger w/ Abraham Washington versus Chris Jericho ~ Chris Jericho’s Beat The Clock Challenge

[Chris goes straight after Jack as soon as the bell rings, nailing him with a flying forearm shot to the head. Chris backs Jack into the corner and begins to wail away on him with shot after shot to the head. Chris drags Jack out of the corner and kicks him in the midsection before grabbing his head for a DDT. However, Jack charges at the corner which forces Chris into the turnbuckles. Jack begins to repeatedly thrust his shoulder into the midsection of Chris as the camera shows the time of two minutes remaining. Jack takes a step back and allows Chris to stumble forward before grabbing him and hitting the belly to belly suplex. Jack looks up at the clock and notices that we have 1 left so Jack decides to ground Jack and hold him down on the mat. Jack lies down on top of Chris’ back and wraps his arms around his waist, keeping him down until there is one minute left. Chris finally manages to squirm out from under Jack and gets back to his feet. Chris begins to stalk Jack as the clock clicks down to thirty seconds remaining. Jack begins getting up as we have twenty left. Jack finally gets to his feet as we have fifteen second left and Chris charges at Jack, nailing him with the Codebreaker. Chris falls down to his back as we have ten seconds left but is slow in crawling over to Jack. We have five seconds left as Chris begins crawling to Jack and then he finally makes the cover. The referee drops down and makes the count for the 1..2..TIME UP!]

Spoiler:

[Chris gets up to his knees and looks at the referee in shock. Chris screams at the referee that he counted too slow but the referee just shakes his head. Chris gets to his feet and grabs the referee by the scruff of his neck and backs him into the corner. Chris begins getting into his face but a few moments later, the lights in the arena go out. A few seconds later the gongs hit and Undertaker’s music hits. Undertaker walks out onto the stage but stops with the lights still dimmed. Chris grabs a mic and begins shouting at Undertaker, asking him what match he has chosen. Undertaker doesn’t budge and instead remains staring down at Chris. Eventually, Undertaker motions for Chris to be quiet before motioning to the entranceway. A few moments later druids walk out carrying a Casket, to a massive pop from the crowd. The druids leave the casket by the side of Undertaker before walking backstage. Undertaker picks up a mic which was left on top of the casket and says just one thing: “YOU WILL REST IN PEACE”. Undertaker drops the mic and stares down at Chris in the ring as Smackdown goes off the air.]

July 30th 2012

[RAW comes on the air as Monster blares through the speakers. The commentators introduce us to the show before the camera sweeps over the crowd, showing many signs. The camera snaps round to the ring as Dolph Ziggler walks out with his RAW Money In The Bank briefcase in his hand. Vickie Guerrero walks out behind him and Dolph lifts his briefcase up to a mixture of both cheers and boos. He proceeds down the ramp, a massive grin on his face the entire way. He jumps onto the apron before entering the ring and climbing to the second rope. He raises his briefcase in the air before jumping down and grabbing a mic from Vickie. Dolph turns to the crowd and says that last week he competed in the Main Event of the 1,000th episode of RAW and teamed up with a guy he grew up watching; The Ultimate Warrior. Dolph says that history was made last week and he was proud to be part of it. Back on topic, Dolph says that tonight things go back to normal and that means looking towards the future, which involves this briefcase. Before Dolph can continue, Daniel Bryan’s music hits and he walks out onto the stage with his Intercontinental Championship around his waist to cheers from the crowd. He repeatedly thrusts his arms in the air while shouting out “YES” as he sidesteps down the ramp. He jumps up onto the apron and stares in at Dolph before entering. He walks over to the other side of the ring and grabs a mic before turning back to Dolph. Bryan stands right in front of Dolph and asks him why he interfered in the Battle Royal two weeks ago on RAW. Dolph just laughs at Bryan before replying. Dolph says that he sees Bryan as a stepping stone for him. Dolph goes on to say that in order to prove himself worthy of being World Champion, he must first conquer the lower level. Dolph says that in order to do so he has to win that Intercontinental Championship and he interfered two weeks ago to get the attention of Bryan. Bryan stops Dolph from continuing and tells him that nobody uses him as a stepping stone. Bryan gets in Dolph’s face and tells him that he can’t just get a match at the Intercontinental Championship whenever he wants to. Dolph tells Bryan that the fact that he is standing here with the Money In The Bank briefcase means he has already proven himself to be better than the Intercontinental Championship but wants it anyway. Bryan says that he obviously has the wrong attitude but he is willing to give him a shot at the Intercontinental Championship at Summerslam but on one condition. Bryan tells Dolph than in order for him to get a shot at his Intercontinental Championship then he must put his Money In The Bank briefcase on the line as well. The fans give a loud pop at Bryan’s challenge and Dolph looks around, trying to decide what to do in his mind. Vickie stands by the side of Dolph and tells him just to say no because the Intercontinental Championship is not worth giving up a shot at the World Championship. Dolph nods his head listening to Vickie and goes to speak but Bryan cuts in. Bryan calls Dolph a coward and says it is about time he stands on his own two feet and makes his own decisions. This appears to rile Dolph who quickly retorts with his answer to Bryan’s challenge; yes. Bryan grins as Dolph glares over at him. Bryan walks right up to Dolph and gets in his face, raising his Intercontinental Championship in the air. Dolph responds by raising his RAW Money In The Bank briefcase in the air. The two continue to stare right through each other before Dolph goes to leave the ring. Before he steps out onto the apron, Dolph turns to Bryan and says that his briefcase will be on the line so long as it is still in his possession by the time Summerslam comes about. Dolph then winks at Bryan before throwing his mic down to the mat and leaving the ring. Dolph heads up the ramp with Vickie as Bryan stares after him, eyeing him up suspiciously.]

[We open up in the interview area with Josh Mathews and John Cena. There are massive boos coming from the crowd as Cena stands with his head bowed. Josh asks Cena the question that has been on everyone’s mind since the Battle Royal two weeks ago on RAW; why did he come back into the match after being eliminated and cost CM Punk, The Great Khali and Ezekiel Jackson a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship? John looks up and stares into the camera as he speaks. John says that, from the bottom of his heart, he is sorry for what he did last week. John says that after he lost at Money In The Bank, he felt the same pain he felt after his Wrestlemania loss but this time the pain was even worse. John says that he felt his chances at once again being World Champion slip out of his fingers after losing the Money In The Bank Match. John says that he wants to apologise to not only CM Punk, The Great Khali and Ezekiel Jackson but also to everyone in the WWE Universe. John says he knows he will have to make it up to everyone but he will find a way to do so.]

[Titus O’Neil makes his way out to the ring as we come back. As he slowly walks down the ramp, shouting out to the crowd, a replay of two weeks ago is shown when Andy Leavine debuted to save Percy Watson from an attack at the hands of Titus. The replay ends and Titus is in the ring, shaking his head at what he just watched. Andy Leavine is out next to relatively good cheers from the crowd. He makes his way down the ramp as the commentators remind us that he won Tough Enough last year. Andy gets in the ring and stands opposite Titus, ready to make his in-ring debut.]

Titus O’Neil versus Andy Leavine

[Titus and Andy collide in the middle of the ring as things get started, trading right hand after right hand. Andy takes control and backs Titus up into the ropes before hitting him with a massive clothesline that sends him toppling to the outside. Titus gets to his feet on the outside and leans against the barricade, staring in at Andy in anger. Andy takes a step back and shouts for Titus to come back in. Titus slides in and gets to his feet in time to catch a kick to the midsection from Andy. Titus proceeds to knock Andy down with a stiff clothesline before dropping down and making the cover for just a one count. Titus gets back up and pulls Andy back up with him before shoving him into the corner. Titus charges at him and squashes him hard against the turnbuckles. Titus takes a few steps back and lets Andy stumble forward before kicking him hard in the midsection. Andy doubles over and Titus snatches him by the head before nailing a DDT. Titus once again makes the cover but this time just gets a two count. Titus gets back up, beginning to get frustrated. Titus turns as Andy begins getting up and goes to grab him by the head but Andy surprises him with a stiff right hand to the abdomen. Titus doubles over and Andy proceeds to send him down to the mat with an uppercut. Andy stands up straight and waits for Titus to get up before charging at him and sending him down to the mat with a big boot to the face. Andy begins stalking Titus, waiting for him to get up. Titus does so and Andy snatches him up before powerslamming him back down to the mat. And steps out onto the apron and shouts out for the elbow drop, to which the fans cheer. Andy climbs up to the top rope and stands up straight before diving down, nailing the Elbow Drop. Andy rolls over and hooks the leg of Titus for the 1..2..3!]

Spoiler:

[Andy gets back to his feet and raises his two arms in the air to cheers from the crowd. He looks down at Titus and just grins before turning and leaving the ring. Andy heads up the ramp, celebrating his victory, as the scene fades.]

[We open up backstage in the locker room area as Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks are in the midst of a heated argument with Drew McIntyre. Curt and Tyler are shouting at Drew that he shouldn’t have allowed himself and Brodus Clay to get through to the Quarter Finals of the Tag Tournament. Drew tells Curt and Tyler that he did what he had to do to get himself noticed and if that involves winning this Tournament and then beating Curt and Tyler at Summerslam for the WWE Tag Team Championships then so be it. The three continue to argue until Vickie walks in and screams at them all to stop. The three look at Vickie and shake their heads before reluctantly walking away from each other. Drew storms out of the locker room and heads down the hallway as Curt and Tyler take a seat at the far end of the locker room.]

~

[We open up in the parking lot area just outside of the arena as a limousine pulls inside. It stops just outside of the entrance to the arena before the back door opens and Vince McMahon steps out. The commentators mention how last week Vince McMahon returned and stated that he wanted his company back and would do anything to do so. Vince struts inside the arena with a massive grin on his face.]

~

[Alberto Del Rio makes his way out to the ring as we come back with Ricardo Rodriguez doing the introductions. Del Rio slowly makes his way down the ramp before getting in the ring. Brodus Clay is out next as the commentators remind us that this Friday Night on Smackdown Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez will take on Brodus Clay and Drew McIntyre in the first Quarter Finals bout of the Tournament. Brodus dances down the ramp before getting in the ring, ready to take on Alberto.]

Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez versus Brodus Clay

[Alberto kicks Brodus hard in the side of the leg as soon as the bell rings. Brodus stumbles a little but Alberto quickly responds with a second kick to the leg. Brodus’ leg gives away and Brodus falls to one knee before Alberto sends him down to the mat with an enzeguri. Brodus hits the mat and Alberto pounces on him for the cover but Brodus throws him away before the referee even has the chance to make the count. Brodus gets back to his feet as Alberto charges at him and catches him with a headbutt to the chest. Brodus begins to get fired up and dances for the crowd before turning as Alberto begins getting back up. Brodus grabs Alberto by the waist and picks him up in the air before slamming him back down hard. Brodus runs off the ropes and goes for the splash on Alberto but Alberto manages to roll out of the way. Brodus slowly rises back to his feet after hitting the mat but Alberto comes out of nowhere with a hard kick to the side of the head. Brodus falls back down to the mat and Alberto leans over him, beginning to wail away on the head of him. Alberto gets back up and stalks Brodus, slapping him over the chest over and over again. Brodus gets up but is still doubled over when Alberto snatches his arm. Alberto spins over for the Rolling Cross Arm Bar but Brodus blocks it and lifts him into the air before throwing him back down to the mat. Brodus proceeds to run off the ropes before coming back with a massive splash. Brodus hooks the leg of Alberto and gets the 1..2..3!]

Spoiler:

[Brodus gets back up and has his arm raised in victory by the referee before being joined in the ring by Naomi and Cameron. Brodus dances with the two women as Ricardo and Alberto stare in at them from the ramp.]

~

[We open up backstage to see Triple H walking down a hallway backstage looking extremely pissed off. Triple H storms down the hallway, ignoring everyone he walks passed.]

~

[Vince McMahon’s music hits when we come back to the ring and he makes his way out onto the stage. Vince looks around at the crowd before strutting down the ramp. He gets in the ring and grabs a mic before turning to the crowd. Vince starts off by thanking everyone for tuning into the show last week and celebrating the 1,000th episode of RAW with everyone in the WWE. Vince then goes on to remind everyone that last week he stated he wants his company back and he is not going to let anything get in his way of doing so; not even Triple H. Vince continues to say that Triple H has proven that he cannot be trusted to take care of the day to day goings on in the WWE, especially after the mass walkout of WWE personnel last year. Vince goes to continue but is interrupted as Triple H’s music hits. Triple H walks out to massive cheers from the crowd and stops on the stage, staring down at the man in the ring. Triple H slowly makes his way down before hopping up onto the apron and entering the ring. He grabs a mic before walking over and standing in front of Vince. Triple H starts off by reminding Vince that the reason he was relieved of his powers last year was because he had shown that his own personal agenda was clouding his judgement as being in control of the WWE so something had to be done. Triple H goes on to say that Vince needs to remember who has been there for him through everything he has gone through and that if Vince decides to make this personal then he is going against his own son-in-law. Vince tells Triple H that he is prepared for what is sure to come, even if that means dis-communicating Triple H from his family. Triple H stops Vince from going any further and tells him that if he wants to do this then they should both go backstage and discuss this in private in his office. It is at this point when Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton come running in the ring from the crowd and join Vince’s side. Triple H looks at the two men before looking back at Vince and asking if it is really going to go down this way. Vince just nods his head and then Brock and Orton take this as their signal to pounce on Triple H. Both men begin to punch away at Triple H but Triple H manages to block a couple of the shots and get a few shots in himself. However, the strength in numbers soon overcomes Triple H as he is taken down to the mat by the two men who proceed to stomp away at the COO of the WWE. Brock drops down to his knees and pulls Triple H’s coat off of him before throwing it to the outside and proceeding to hit Triple H over the head over and over again. Brock then rips Triple H’s shirt off and tosses that out as well before dragging Triple H over to the centre of the ring. Brock throws Triple H back down before joining Orton in stomping away at him. The two men stop their attack as Triple H is obviously hurt and can barely stand. The two men pull Triple H to his knees and hold him up by his arms as Vince leans down and gets right in his face. Vince shouts at Triple H that this is not over before spitting in his face. Brock and Orton release their grip on Triple H and allow him to flop to the mat before standing either side of Vince. Vince raises both men’s arms in the air and pose over Triple H’s fallen body as the scene fades.]

[We come back to the ring as Zack Ryder makes his way out to cheers from the crowd. He heads down the ramp as Justin Roberts announces this as the last match in this round of the Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament. Zack gets in the ring before Santino Marella makes his way out as his partner. Santino panders to the crowd on his way down the ramp before getting in the ring. The Miz is out next to the usual boos and jeers from the crowd. He makes his way down the ramp and stops outside of the ring before Christian’s music hits. Christian makes his way out to cheers and boos from the crowd and joins Miz outside of the ring before both men get in the ring.]

Zack Ryder & Santino Marella versus The Miz & Christian ~ Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament

[Zack and Miz start things off by locking up in the centre of the ring. Miz takes control and locks Zack in a headlock before flipping him over onto his back. Miz locks in the hold nice and tight, keeping Zack grounded on the mat. Zack eventually manages to loosen Miz’s grip and slips out from under him. Miz soon gets to his feet but Zack meets him with a stiff kick to the midsection. Miz doubles over and Zack lifts him back up before hitting him over the jaw with a right hand. Miz stumbles back and Zack grabs his arm before tossing him in the corner. Zack holds Miz in the corner and tags in Santino, who enters the ring and goes straight on the attack. Santino hits Miz with knee after knee to the midsection in the corner until Miz falls into a seated position in the corner. Santino grabs Miz’s feet and goes to lift him up into the air but Miz kicks out at Santino and forces him to release his grip. Miz gets up and avoids a running attack from Santino before running over and tagging in Christian. Christian enters the ring as Santino gets the tag to Zack, who also gets in the ring. Both men charge at each other and meet in the centre of the ring where they commence to trade blows. Christian takes control and sends Zack down with a hard right hand. Zack slowly gets back up but is met by a knee to the head from Christian before he even gets back to his feet. Christian begins to stomp away at Zack before dragging him back to his feet. August 3rd 2012

[Smackdown comes on the air and the brand new theme song, Burn It Down, begins to blare through the speakers. The cameras sweep through the crowd, showing the signs supporting various supporters. The commentators welcome us to the show before the camera snaps round to the stage as Randy Orton slowly walks out to massive boos from the crowd. Randy Orton stops on the stage and looks around at the crowd with a look of disgust before making his way down the ramp as a replay of both him and Brock Lesnar attacking Triple H on this past Monday Night on RAW and then leaving with Vince McMahon. We come back to Smackdown with Randy standing in the centre of the ring with a mic in hand. Orton starts off by informing everyone that what happened this past Monday Night on RAW is between him, Brock and Vince and he is not going to explain himself to anybody, at least not now. Randy goes on to say that tonight he is in the Main Event and he will be teaming up with a man he really doesn’t like; Christian. Randy says that he will be fine teaming up with Christian though because he also doesn’t like his opponents; Jack Swagger and Undertaker. Randy says that after he defeats Undertaker tonight he is going to send him where he should be; in a retirement home. Randy says he will then take Undertaker’s place in the Main Event of Summerslam and defeat Chris Jericho to once again become the WWE Champion. With that being said, Randy throws down his mic and taunts the crowd before leaving the ring and heading backstage as the scene fades.]

~

[We open up in the interview area as Eden Stiles stands with a smartly dressed Kofi Kingston, who has his Smackdown Money In The Bank briefcase in his hands. Eden goes to ask Kofi a question but he snatches the mic from her before shoving her out of shot. Kofi looks into the camera and says that he just wanted to take this time to remind everyone that tonight he begins his weekly Open Challenge and he wants a real challenge tonight. Kofi says that he doesn’t want some little idiot coming out who wants to make a name for himself, he wants someone who truly thinks they can beat him so he can prove them wrong. Kofi goes to leave but stops himself, turning back to the camera. Kofi says that he is so confident in his ability to beat anyone on the Smackdown roster that he is going to put his Smackdown Money In The Bank briefcase on the line in every Open Challenge Match.]

~

[Alberto Del Rio’s music hits when we come back to the ring and both he and Ricardo Rodriguez make their way out as Justin Roberts announces this is the first Quarter Final Match of the Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament. Ricardo comes out in a black singlet and runs around the stage, shouting out to the crowd. Alberto shakes his head and makes his way down the ramp, getting in the ring before Ricardo does the same. Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez versus Brodus Clay & Drew McIntyre w/ Vickie Guerrero ~ Tag Team #1 Contender Tournament Quarter Finals

Ricardo walks over and takes up on Drew’s offer, punching him hard across the jaw. Drew stumbles back, holding his jaw in surprised pain. Drew lunges at Ricardo and goes for a clothesline but Ricardo ducks underneath. Drew stops in his steps and turns right into a dropkick from Ricardo. Ricardo crawls over and makes the cover on Drew but Drew is quick to kick out. Ricardo gets back to his feet just before Drew and meets him with a hard kick to the midsection. Ricardo lifts Drew back upright and hits him with another shot to the jaw before shoving him into the corner. Ricardo gets the tag to Alberto who steps in the ring and kicks Drew hard in the midsection. Alberto takes a few steps back and lets Drew stumble forward before hitting him with an enzeguri. Alberto rolls Drew onto his back and hooks the leg for a two count. Alberto pulls Drew back to his feet but before he can do anything Drew lifts him up onto his shoulders before flipping him over onto his back. Drew goes to walk over and tag in Brodus but then realises what he is doing and changes his mind. Drew looks from the rising Alberto to Curt and Tyler on the outside before making his decision. Drew turns and steps out onto the apron before hopping down onto the ground. He throws his hands in the air as he slowly walks up the ramp, causing the referee to begin his ten count. The referee reaches a count of five as Drew reaches the midway point on the ramp. Brodus jumps down onto the floor and runs round the ring before chasing after Drew. The referee reaches the count of seven before Brodus gets his hands on Drew. Brodus kicks Drew in the midsection before grabbing him by the head and running back down the ramp before throwing him in the ring, just as the referee reached the count of nine. ~

[We open up in what appears to be the boiler room and there is an eerie red tint to the lighting. Kane walks into the shot and he has the United States Championships hanging over his shoulder. Kane says that yet again he has been overlooked by the WWE and will not be competing at Summerslam. Kane does say, however, that they will have no choice in the matter when it comes to Night Of Champions when he defends his United States Championship. Kane says that he will prove at Night Of Champions why you always give a monster what they want because no matter who his opponent will be, he will use them to set an example to everyone else.]

Undertaker grabs Christian by the arm and climbs up to the second rope before stepping onto the top. Undertaker walks along the top rope before jumping down and hitting Christian with the Old School. Undertaker makes the cover on Christian but Christian is able to kick out after the two count once again. Undertaker wastes little time in getting back to his feet and begins pulling Christian up with him but Christian shoves him away before jumping back into his corner and getting the tag to Orton. Christian rolls to the outside and takes a seat against the apron, holding his back in pain. Orton gets in the ring and charges at Undertaker, who goes to meet him with a clothesline. Orton ducks underneath and runs off the ropes before coming back and taking down Undertaker with a stiff clothesline. Orton waits for Undertaker to get back up before whipping him across the ring and catching him with the scoop powerslam on the rebound. Orton hooks the leg of Undertaker but Undertaker kicks out just after the two count. Orton gets back up and spreads out his arms, stalking Undertaker. Undertaker begins rising and when he gets up Orton spins him around before jumping up for the RKO. Undertaker manages to catch Orton and throws him down to the mat before stumbling over to his corner and getting the tag to Swagger, just as Orton rolls over to his corner and tags in Christian. Both Christian and Swagger get in the ring and charge at each other. Christian goes straight for the Spear but Swagger sidesteps it and runs off the ropes before taking down Christian with a big shoulder block. Swagger begins to get fired up and pulls Christian to his feet before grabbing him and hitting the belly to belly suplex. Swagger gets back to his feet and pulls down the straps, signalling that the end is coming. Christian slowly gets to his feet and when he gets up Swagger grabs him for the Gutwrench Powerbomb but all of a sudden The Miz comes rushing down the ramp. Miz’s first course of action is to grab Undertaker by the ankles and pull him off of the apron before shoving him hard into the steel steps. Miz then jumps up onto the apron and Swagger throws Christian aside, going to hit Miz with a right hand but Miz smartly jumps off of the apron. By this time, Christian has been able to get the tag to Orton who is now in the ring, stalking the unaware Swagger. Swagger tells Miz to back off before turning back around and Orton instantly hits him with the RKO. Orton pulls Swagger away from the ropes before hooking his leg for the three count.]

Spoiler:

[Orton gets back to his feet as he is announced the winner but instantly leaves the ring and heads backstage. Miz gets in the ring and meets Christian, who is standing above the fallen Swagger with a mic in hand. The two slap hands before Christian passes the mic to Miz, who turns to the crowd. Miz has a cocky grin on his face as he raises the mic to his mouth. Miz reminds everyone that earlier on tonight Roddy Piper announced that Smackdown had made a major signing and Miz can now reveal that he is that major signing. There are both cheers and boos from the crowd as Miz announces this. Miz then looks directly into the camera and says that he is going to run Smackdown because he’s The Miz and he is awesome. Miz drops the mic and gives a slight grin into the camera before turning and joining Christian in the centre of the ring. The two men stand above Swagger and raise each other’s arms in the air as the show goes off the air.]

Interesting note that, as of today, Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks are tied for the 14th longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions in history. They are currently tied with the Los Guerreros reign of 2002 into 2003.

Another interesting note is that in two days time Sheamus will be tied for the 5th longest reigning World Heavyweight Champion in history. Sheamus will be tied with King Booker's reign in 2006 and Batista's reign in 2006 into 2007.

This might be the biggest waste of time in WWE history.
