>> WELCOME HOME << -- A red and black Honda Civic pulls into the ECCW arena parking lot with the headlights on. The Civic parks and the door is swung open. Out walks Cahill Chaulk. Cahill adjusts his jacket before fixing his hair and closing the door. Cahill starts walking towards to arena with a smile on his face, excited to be entering the arena for the first time. Cahill swings the doors to the arena open before taking a deep breath. Cahill walks inside and sees the bright lights, the crew, the equipment. Cahill smiles lightly at co-workers as he passes them. Heading down the hallway. Cahill is in search for Richie, the General Manager of CRUSH. Cahill stops and asks a crew member where his office is. The crew member points out what direction and Cahill heads down towards the office.

*A vignette plays, showing footage of the Royal Crumble match from 2010. The crowd is excited for the final competitor, but no one would have expected the roof to explode like it did when Dustin Shore was revealed as the final surprise entrant, and ECCW's newest superstar. It then goes on to show him winning the match, followed by quick glances of his greatest moments and championship victories, all the way to his successful defense of the World Title at Slam-Mania III.*
Dustin Shore: These last two and a half years have been a hell of a thing to look back on. But people have been asking me all week, why would I put all that I've achieved on the line? Why would I accept a contest where, if I lose, I will not appear for ECCW again? Well to those people, I say that the legacy I forged here will not be forgotten. Sure, the history books may not mention me five times a page, but each and every fan that I stood in front of all these years will remember my name, and they will remember what I did for them. But while this match is for them, this stipulation isn't.
This stipulation is for me, and me alone. Some might call it being selfish, to say that. But when you've been at this as long as I have, you hear people wonder aloud if you have it anymore, if you have overstayed your welcome. If you're holding the young guys down. Maybe I shouldn't have stood in the way of Oliver Walker, Adam Jones, and Peter Linch. Well, if they want it, here is their opportunity to take it. One match, one win, and Linch clears the slate, resets the game. After Summer Smash, one way or another, the landscape changes.
But it is still a match, and I am still, above all, a wrestler. I will not hand anything down, I will not meekly step out of the spotlight because someone asked. Peter will have to work for it. Because as long as I'm here, I'm going to continue to prove that, even with all the new political bullshit and ass-kissing, in an age that has become so much more complicated, that a fighter, a competitor, can still face the stacked deck, and come out victorious. This Sunday, everything is on the line. This is bigger than a match, a championship, even a career. I can't afford to lose. I will not lose.
*The video fades to black.*

Dan Williams walks up to him with a grin on his face
Dan Williams You're welcome, and for what you might ask? For being the lucky one that I get to defeat in my return match.

Similar to Dustin Shore's video package, Zayten, seems to have one as well. The background is dark and murky, it is unclear what exactly the background is. A ring of fire shoots up and Zayten rises up in the middle of it.
Zayten: "Decades from now, when mortals look up the history books and parents tell their children how the world came to an end at the hands of a man not from this existence, one thing will stand out among all the idiotic ramblings of historians and people with deluded memories and that thing will be a date. The 26th of August 2012. Why will this date stick out? Because this is the day the end of the world began. This is the date the dark usurper, the mortal slayer, the king of the night . . . took up his rightful throne. This is the date of Summer Smash . . . the date . . . that I, Zayten, destroy Dan Maskell and take the Heavyweight Championship. This is the date all my followers and creatures and freaks will see my true bold, undying, terrifying potential unlocked. Hell will be unleashed as soon as I raise that championship and have the means to call myself champion. Dan Maskell I give you but a fabled warning . . . beware, take care, because at night, THE FREAKS COME OUT!"
We hear Zayten's laughter as the ring of fire subsides and darkness seems to engulf the picture. Then we see the unnatural gleam of Zayten's eyes and as he bares his long teeth he utters a final sentence.
Zayten: "Tonight . . . is the night."
Cut.

[Boos slowly begin to fill the arena as “Money” hits and is soon followed by Peter Linch walking out onto the stage in a black pinstriped suit and with his ECCW World Championship draped over his shoulder. Peter stops on the stage and looks out to the crowd with a sly grin on his face before proceeding down the ramp. Peter picks up a microphone which had been left on the apron before walking up the steps and entering the ring. Peter stands in the centre of the ring and looks around at the crowd, waiting for them to quieten down, before finally speaking.]
Peter Linch: “Tonight I compete in the biggest match of my career! This time last year I took on Christopher Styles in the first match of Summer Smash III where I won by a disqualification. Now I thought that I had lost the match until justice was served and the referee crowned me the victor. At this point last year I was a newbie; somebody that everybody looked down on. I have now experienced first hand how much can change in just one year. I have went from the bottom of the food chain to the very top. Tonight I defend MY ECCW World Championship in the Main Event against Dustin Shore!”
[There is a loud burst of cheers from the crowd at the mention of Dustin Shore’s name.]
Peter Linch: “You may cheer Dustin Shore and you know what, that is fine by me. Just make sure that you cheer as loud as you can for him tonight because after the clock strikes midnight, Dustin Shore will be no more. You see tonight isn’t just about the ECCW World Championship, it is also about the career of Dustin Shore. Tonight Dustin Shore puts his career on the line and when I beat him – when, not if – he will be gone from ECCW once and for all!”
[Peter begins to laugh to himself as the crowd give him major heat.]
Peter Linch: “One way or another, tonight will mark the end of this long running feud between myself and Dustin. In fact, no matter what happens tonight the face of ECCW will be changed because either the new generation – myself – will be at the front running of the company or we will continue with the same old routing – that being Dustin Shore of course. However, there is one thing about this match that I certainly do not like; Adam Jones as the referee.”
[The mention of Adam Jones gains even more jeers from the crowd but they eventually settle down as Peter continues.]
Peter Linch: “I honestly don’t know what was going through the head of Richie when he decided to put Adam Jones in charge of the most important match of Summer Smash. Adam Jones has already proven that he doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near the Main Event of Summer Smash after losing over and over and over again to Dustin Shore in his bid to be ECCW World Champion. Richie should do the right thing and take Adam Jones out of the equation so that it is just me and Dustin Shore because this match can’t have a shady finish; if I lose my Championship I want it to be fair and if Dustin Shore’s career is to be over it has to be at my hands and nobody else’s!”
[Peter garners a mixed reaction for this statement, given that he is sort of saying what everybody else is thinking.]
Peter Linch: “I am sending out a warning to Adam Jones and this is the same warning I have already given Richie. If you do anything in this match to cost either myself or Dustin the victory then I assure you that you will pay. Tonight I intend on walking out as ECCW World Champion and I will be damned if anyone is going to stop me from doing that.”
[Peter drops his microphone onto the mat and stands for a few moments, glaring into the camera. He finally moves from the spot and climbs to the second rope, raising his ECCW World Championship into the air. He drops down back onto the mat and straightens out his suit before leaving the ring and heading backstage.]
