Backstage, the resident ECCW interviewer is standing tall, with a microphone in hand, smiling at the camera. He adresses the crowd with the vigour of a well-practiced public speaker.

Interviewer: Tonight, ECCW will host it's annual Slam-Mania, the biggest event in wrestling today. And with such great matches on the card, like Jarrett Calloway vs Harry Jones and Dustin Shore vs Oliver Walker, it promises to be a great event. However, one of the less hyped up matches is the Feast or Fired match where somebody will take home an opportunity at a World title, a Midcard title, the Tag Team titles and somebody will be fired. My guest at this time is a competitor in that match, Adam Jones.

The crowd boo as the arrogant and egomaniacal Adam Jones steps into view, looking down his nose at the interviewer and almost dismissively turning away from him as he prepares to ask his first question.

Interviewer: Adam, after losing to Oliver Walker last week, what mindset are you in, leading upto the Feast or Fired match?

AJ smiles, before taking off his designer sunglasses and staring into the eyes of the interviewer, before answering the direct question.

Jones: Last week didn't exactly go to plan. But everybody knows that Oliver Walker is merely somebody to keep Dustin Shore busy at Slam-Mania. Shore's much to good to lose to that nobody. And yeah, Walker may have earned his spot at Slam-Mania, but while he will soon fade into obscurity, I will go on to win many titles in this industry. And you ask about my mindset, well, it's very simple. I am the best wrestler in ECCW and if I get anything other than the World title briefcase, I will be dissapointed, because I am too good for a Midcard title and I am too good to waste my talents as one half of a tag team. After tonight, I will have taken my first step on the ladder to greatness and I will have earned myself a spot in any main event that I so choose. Adam out.

AJ puts his sunglasses back on and heads to his locker room to prepare for the big match, with the interviewer merely thanking Jones for his time as the Hardcore Assassin walks away.

The camera turns the corner and Alex Nova is lacing up his boots while sitting on a near-by crate. He finishes up and starts taping his wrists.

"Tonight, a packed crowd in Madison Square Garden, I will give Kevin Evans a taste of what he had coming in a long time. I gave it to him before, and I'll be sure to do it again. Time and again it's been said that me and Evans indeed are partners, but tonight we put all that 'buddy buddy' aside and lay it all on the table. Of course Evans will try and out maneuver me, but I will play that deadly royal flush, and hit him from above. Kevin Evans is without a doubt one of my biggest rivals to this day. But some people are still wondering why I would want to team up with him? Well a couple of years ago back in NAWA I was in the same predicament.. I had a guy go by the name of Leon White, and I hated him, he was part gangster type like Twista XL and part dumb-ass who couldn't handle big crowds, and fuel to the fire.. anyways, I tagged with him after a few months of holding grudges, and what happened you might ask? I got the best of him. Leon and I had ourselves a little tables match on one of the house shows, and I couldn't stand him. It wasn't supposed to happen but after the match, I drilled him right through the table, and ended his career. I paralyzed him, and to this day he lays there, not able to move, and it's because of shaking hands with the devil himself."

He points to his chest and spits his gum aside


"Kevin Evans, there's a lesson you're going to learn in a while. Maybe the same thing won't happen to you; matter of fact; nobody EVER knows when, or where it's going to happen. Maybe I will spare your career. Maybe I wont. Bottom line is, never, turn your back, on your opponent, keep that in mind."

He walks off stretching his arms

We've been in the ring on more than one occasions and it's no secret that we have never seen eye to eye together. But with Slam-Mania coming up, I think that it would be great if Will and I can exchane a few words and you know, explain to the audience what exactly keeps us from seeing eye to eye. So Will are you going to give us the honor of dragging your perfectly shaven ass out here?"

Leopold waits as the crowd is hot.

Oh, you want to talk about why we don't like each other. Listen John, It's not that I don't like you. It's that I don't believe you. I don't believe that a guy whose bodyguard used to be some jackass who thinks he's a Horseman of the Apocalypse and went around beating up weak little jobbers is now some reformed Gary Sue mother fucker. This new John Leopold is...lame. Everything about him is lame, from his tights to his new entrance music to his wrestling style. The John Leopold that I knew was ruthless, he was an asshole and I hated him as much as I do Jarrett Calloway but damn could that guy put on a show. I see you now and all I see is a shell of your former self. I don't find you to be worthy of this Legends Title. I don't even know why we're fighting at Slam-Mania, I'm probably going to pull a "Lord of ECCW" move and win our match like I have these past weeks. Yeah, I call cheating a Lord of ECCW now. I think it's clever, wanna fight about it?
