EXCLUSIVE SHOOT INTERVIEW
WARNING - IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, BELIEVE PRO WRESTLING IS REAL, ARE HARRY JONES OR JARRETT CALLOWAY, DON'T LIKE XCW OR ANY OF THE ABOVE, DON'T READ THIS
The superstar drops all the gangsta mannerisms and gives us a real insight into his thoughts on the state of current pro wrestling while also blowing the lid on some of the more 'hidden' aspects.
Interviewer: "Well Twista, first of all thanks for taking the time to do this exclusive interview for Global Wrestling Magazine! You've had a hectic time since returning to the ring at the failed Nightmare Wrestling Tournament, how about you talk us through that tournament and where you think it went wrong?"
Twista XL: "I honestly think that the Nightmare Wrestling Tournament was destined to fail from the word go. It was a great idea but in my opinion it was poorly financed and backed. Although in all probability if it had succesfully ran it's course it would've been a huge commercial success. What was it? Thirty-two of the world's best wrestlers in a tournament to crown the Greatest of all Time? As for why it went wrong when it did I'm not sure. They sold out the arena but I believe they had trouble with pay-per-view buyrates in round one. Noteably though Cyrus Black and Surge were wrestling live on pay-per-view in Japan on the same day. There was also an American Wrestling Federation re-union pay-per-view the following week and in the current climate people can't shell out for two pay-per-views in a row. The money's just not there at the moment."
Interviewer: "Your one match in the tournament was against Trenton York. In a noticeably hard-hitting match the referee and paramedics looked concerned on numerous occasions. What was that like?"
Twista XL: "York is a good guy. It was my first time working with him and it was also my first time back in the wrestling business. I have my close personal friend Surge to thank for that. Truth be told I had no intention of going anywhere near the Nightmare Wrestling Tournament but Surge saw that I was lost without pro wrestling and convinced me to sign up. Not that I had any choice, the motherfucker had already signed me up! I'll be honest I was a bit worried about facing Trenton York in my return match. I wanted too hold the crowd's interest but I didn't know if I'd be up to pace in the ring with York. I hadn't wrestled in six months and he had world championship reigns in mainstream companies! But I got there and we had a little spar in the ring, that's when Jake Lyndon told York that he wanted to put me over what with it being my return and all. York wasn't best happy about this so it was decided we'd actually just let the best man win. I was on the back foot for most of the match but I caught him on the hop and got the win. People were wondering why we worked so stiff in that match and if there was actually any real heat but the fact is that night, on my return, I actually fought Trenton York."
Interviewer: "Everyone thought that tournament was a one-off thing for Twista XL but you shocked the world by joining the revitalized EFNW a mere few weeks later. How did that come about?"
Twista XL: "Yeah it actually was. It was kind of a thing where I'd do this one gig (Nightmare Wrestling Tournament) get the big pay day and go back to MC'ing. But once I got back in the ring and experienced the thrill of winning again I knew I couldn't stay away. Besides, I had some unfinished business. Like a legit World Championship reign."
Interviewer: "On the world championship comment, you're surely referring to your reign as XCW Xplosion World Champion?"
Twista XL: "Yeah. A lot of people shit on my reign as World Champion on Xplosion and maybe some of it's due. I HATE saying anything bad about XCW because it was a truly great company, like if the re-opened their doors, I'd drop everything and sign a contract with them, but the one thing I'm not happy about is the heel turn I had over there. I thought it was unnessecary but as I said I'd do anything for that company and the people who ran it. They went along with it and I got the World Championship whilst heel. It was only a short reign but it's probably my greatest achievement in pro wrestling. The other gripe I have is that many people don't consider XCW a mainstream company like CWW, EFNW or ECCW so many people wouldn't actually classify the championship as a 'World' championship. Regardless of what people say, I'm proud of what I done and I'm proud of that reign. That's why I carry that championship around."
Interviewer: "You not only returned to EFNW in the ring you joined elsewhere outside the ring ..."
Twista XL: "Yeah that was crazy! I got the call off ECCW and to be honest I was a bit shocked. I said yeah and next thing I knew I was signing forms and watching tapes of all the talent signed for Doom 6. Good bunch of lads and I particularly like Deacon Carmine. He's a great look and a unique heel 'American Hero' gimmick. People slam the ECCW creative team but I think they're great. The BSK invasion and the Malcom Gibson angle has endless potential. They've also spoken to me about numerous ideas and most of them are good."
Interviewer: "So have you dividied loyality between EFNW and ECCW?"
Twista XL: "Nah, I've different jobs for both. I won't get in the ring for ECCW and I won't step outside it for EFNW. My loyalties lie with EFNW as a wrestler and my loyalties lie with ECCW as an authority figure. I don't have to be loyal to one company just because of this war thing."
Interview: "What are your opinions on the war between EFNW and ECCW?"
Twista XL: "I don't think it's a war between EFNW and ECCW, it's more so a war between Harry Jones and Jarrett Calloway. It seems the two have actual real heat with one another. I always think it's a bit dodgy fueling a feud with real heat. It makes for great promo's but terrible matches. How can the two of them be expected to stand in a ring and effectively work the crowd? The communication would be horrible, they'd be no selling, messing up spots. The only way you'd get a good match out of those two is if they literally were told to kill each other. And that's too dangerous. I also think that the two have huge egos. All well and good if the INSIST on having their issues with each other but I think it was egotistical of them both to drag the two companies into it."
Interviewer: "Who do you think is right in the arguement?"
Twista XL: "I think they're both idiots as anyone with half a brain cell does. However, I find Harry to be very hypocritical and non-sensical. He says Jarrett Calloway is an ego-maniac and buries people yet Harry himself has had what ... twenty-three World Championship reigns? I've put just as much into wrestling as he had and God knows I could match him move for move in the ring and on the mic and I've had one semi-World Championship reign. People say he's a record smasher but who approved most of his reigns? His dad, Travis Jones. People say it takes a special man to win over twenty World Championships no matter what the circumstance are. Know what I say? It takes a VERY special man to lose a World Championship over twenty times. Also Harry urges people to not watch ECCW and to watch EFNW where you'll get an alternative and great wrestlers. Someone care to explain why we have Jarrett Calloway and Venom - two ECCW wrestlers - on our first PPV and I'm stuck in a twelve man match after delievering three match of the year contenders in the fatal four way and against Cyrus Black and Dan Maskell?"
Interviewer: "Who are/was the top five wrestlers in the world?"
Twista XL: "It depends on what criteria but in general I'd say ... Jake Lyndon at number five, the man had every right to give himself the moniker of a wrestling God and he was also without a doubt the best tag team wrestler of all time. I'd have John Heroman at number four. The man only lost once in the best company I've been apart of and has had massive wins over myself and Surge on numerous occasions. It's with pride I say that I was the one he chose to finally retire him. Number three and number two is a joint award with ... you guessed it Cyrus Black and Surge. I've faced both men in recent weeks and fucking hell - those guys can wrestle. They both know how to work a mic too. The best wrestler in the world in my opinion is The Flaming Red. The guy could do it all in the ring, was an amazing story teller both in and out of the ring and was a pure professional backstage. He also helped me quite a bit when I made the leap up to the big leagues - the number one wrestling company in the world at the time, American Wrestling Federation. He was also the won that urged Tommy Bishop to make me win the Revoultion Rumble only two weeks after debuting."
Interviewer: "Best feud you've been apart of?"
Twista XL: "I'd say it was in CWW. I was teaming with MMA fighter Dan Masterson as Kriminal Tap Out and we won the tag team championships. Everyone seen me as the weaker member of the team as I done a lot of the donkey work and if there was a save to be made Masterson made it and he always got the pin. This lead to a bit of tension with Masterson basically telling me what to do and tagging himself in and the likes. Masterson then won a singles secondary championship in the company. To prove that I was every bit as good I won the other secondary championship they had to offer. So we were both double champions and without a doubt one of the hottest commidities going. Dan Masterson turned on me but we kept defending the tag team championships because we didn't want one or the other of us to be percieved as the stronger member of KTO. It was literally the most heat a feud had in ages on CWW and it was the hottest I'd been since I won the Revolution Rumble in AWF. People were screaming for a World Championship chance so a number one contenders match was arranged. It was meant to be a double DQ and then we'd go onto face the champ Hardcore Demon in a triple threat on PPV. One of us should have went over Demon then, one of us HAD to. We were red hot. Probably two of the most popular wrestlers going at the stage. But Demon wanted to put us both through announcer tables and then make a double pin on us. I didn't believe either of our performances merited that kind of burial but Masterson was willing to take the burial as he reckoned it would push him further up creatives good books. So instead of the double DQ in our match I let Masterson pin me. We were meant to go for seven or eight minutes to leave time for a Demon promo but I had already decided it would be my last match for the company and in fact it was to be my last match for over six months and I wanted to get some measure of getting one over on Demon so when Masterson had me locked in the crossface I whispered for him to keep going the crowd were loving it. He let me make the ropes and we ended up going twelve minutes over the schedueled match time! The show ended with Masterson celebrating and Demon didn't get to do his promo! I gave my notice the next day and was gone before the PPV. Oh yeah, in the World Championship match Demon beat Masterson in under four minutes. He left after that to return to MMA."
Interviewer: "Where do you see the EFNW-ECCW war going?"
Twista XL: "When it was just Jones and Calloway I'd have said it could go anywhere. It could maybe have been quite good. But now that both men have sensed a money making opportunity and another niche to get themselves on screen and be the center of attention I don't really give a fuck. It was personal but now that they have the two companies involved it's just going to be another stupid invasion work. I just beg people to watch the real talent on EFNW - Myself, Dan Maskell, Michael DeJesus, Cyrus Black, Surge, Angel Rodriguez, Omega, Peter Linch, Psychosilicon, El Amazo, Daniel Evans, Josh Polson and Casey Anomally. I'm not purposly leaving anyone out by the way."
Interview: "Casey Anomally named you as the only threat in the Classic Match. Thoughts?"
Twista XL: "Stupid match, stupid idea. Too many variables in the match. There is two ECCW wrestler wrestling matches being promoted as semi-main events while guys like me and Casey are stuck in a multi-man match. I'm sure the Venom and Calloway matches would be the main event except that Surge and Black would literally beat the shit out of Travis Jones if there match wasn't main event. Anyway about the Classic Match, some thanks for me putting on three five star matches huh?"
Interviewer: "Any last words?"
Twista XL: "Fuck ECCW, fuck EFNW. Fuck a gimmick, fuck a stereyotype. Support real professional wrestling. Also shout out to FSW a company being set up in my birth country of Ireland and being ran by good friend Aidan Steryo. Also shout out to Tom Bamford who recently got admitted to hospital with food poisoning. PS I fucked all your mothers."
OOC - Jarrett, will you mail me when you're cool to talk on XAT?

FRIDAY NIGHTS
Doom kicks off with that short but ultra-cool pyro display which sends the crowd into uproar. Twista XL is standing in the middle of the ring in his wrestling attire. He apologises for the un-cordial attire he is wearing but mentions that he just came from another wrestling promotion that airs a show on Friday nights. The crowd know he is speaking of EFNW and boo heavily. He tells them all to relax as we have a great show in store. He mentions that the All or Nothing PPV is only two days away and that there WOULD be a Doom match! A Doom Championship match featuring 'his boy' Malcom Gibson defending against the winner of tonight's main event between Jayden Robertson and Chukelz. At this time Twista's music hits and out comes Malcom Gibson with the rest of the BSK in tow. The crowd is once again split right down the middle as Gibson raises his championship in the air. He gets in and he says that the BSK know real talent when they see it and with them backing him, he's going all the way. At this point Elemental's music hits and the crowd give a mixed reaction as the undefeated superstar walks down to the ring. He stares at Malcom Gibson before requesting his microphone.
Elemental says that he is the pro trainer for tonight's show and that he will set a challenge for the rookies later on. For now he says he just wants Malcom Gibson to know that he didn't become 7-0 in ECCW by having a group of thugs do his dirty work for him. He said he earned it and while it's always good to have friends and back-up, ultimately Malcom Gibson will never get anywhere in ECCW because even if he wins Doom, this group of fools have no power outside of it. Twista interjects and says it's funny that Elemental is preaching about flying solo when just yesterday he joined The Disciples. Twista says Elemental always talks about numbers so he should know that there is strength in numbers. Twista then continues to say that how about next week Elemental and two other of The Disciples come to Doom and take on Grandmaster Vanilla Thug Z, Tera-Wrist and Nu-Centz in the main event! The crowd pop loudly but before Elemental gets the chance to give his answer Rex Reznor comes out onto the stage with a microphone and tells Twista to stop making promises he can't keep and to stop making idle threats! Rex says that Twista said if he beats Bruiser Bigshot tonight he'll get to go one on one with Nu-Centz the following week! And he intends on DESTROYING Bruiser Bigshot later tonight. Twista says that there is no point in waiting, that match will happen RIGHT NOW!
Rex Reznor versus Bruiser Bigshot Both men had it all too do tonight. Both wanted different things but both wanted them equally as bad. If Rex Reznor got the win he'd get to go one on one with a member of the BSK - Nu-Centz. If Bigshot got the win he'd effectively be made the number three contender for the Doom Championship and me next in line for a contendership match after Chukelz and Jayden Robertson tonight. Bigshot used his domineering power to force an early advantage but Reznor managed to dig deep and fight back. Reznor nearly caught Bigshot with a small package however this only served to enrage Bigshot. The battle wages on until Bisghot nails a Full Nelson Flapjack before getting the 1,2,3!
After the match as Bigshot is standing in the ring shouting that nobody will stop him now Elemental's music hits and he leads the way to the ring being followed by the rest of the rookies. He said it's time for his challenge. He starts by saying the ability to be able too last a long time without losing is something special in the wrestling business. He said he has that ability. He said it's a mix of skill, determination and endurance. He said that his challenge will test all three of these things. He said each competitor will perch themselves in squat position on the top turnbuckle and hold for us long as they can. He said their determination to win will be tested, the skill of maintaining balance will be tested and the endurance of their legs will be tested. He said there will be two groups of three and one group of four - Vick Rocker, Deacon Carmine and The Gargantuan is Group A while Bruiser Bigshot, Jayden Robertson, Rex Reznor and Malcom Gibson consists of Group B. Group C would be Silver Cheetah, Tiger Cub and Chukelz. One person would advance from Group A and one person would advance from Group C. Two would advance from Group B. Group A went first. The Gargantuan was immediately eliminated as he couldn't get onto the top rope. Deacon Carmine and the party boy Vick Rocker went up on opposite sides and stayed there for over a minute we neither man so much as flinching. Two minutes passed and Rocker seemed to get shakey legs. Two minutes and thirty three seconds in he fell off meaning Deacon Carmine would advance. Group B went next. Bruiser Bigshot fell off after a minute but the other three looked fine. Two minutes passed and the three men seemed fine. Three minutes passed and Rex Reznor seemed to be feeling the effects of his match a bit. Four minutes passed and Gibson was showing shakey legs however he survived as just ten seconds later Reznor fell off. This put Robertson and Gibson through alongside Deacon Carmine. Group C went next. Chukelz bizarrely done a handstand instead of standing up. He lasted about twenty seconds before he crashed head first into the turnbuckle - merely laughing as he was eliminated. Silver Cheetah and Tiger Cub were left. Two rivals, battling it out on top of a turnbuckle. Four minutes pass and neither man is giving an inch. Silver Cheetah deploys a weird tactic - he begins balancing on one leg. Cub took the bait and done the same. Cheetah quickly puts his raised foot on the ropes the shock causing the one legged Cub to crash down. In the final we have Malcom Gibson, Jayden Robertson, Deacon Carmine and Silver Cheetah. Robertson is eliminated after half a minute as Chukelz dropkicks him off the turnbuckle. Gibson goes next after three minutes obviously still feeling the strain of the last time he done it. Cheetah and Carmine go for seven minutes before Cheetah starts shaking. Carmine still hasn't budged, obviously used to the rigourous training excersizes from his time in the army. After nine minutes Cheetah gives in. Elemental announces Carmine the winner of the challenge and the three Gangsta Points!
Backstage we see the BSK looking at the challenge on a monitor. They discuss how impressive Carmine is as he has won the first two challenges. As they are discussing this Carmine walks backstage. He asks did they expect anything less than greatness? He's an American Hero. And he should be treated as such. He said that he could beat BSK's World Champion anytime and any place. He then lays down the challenge for next week. He said he doesn't care if it's non-title or not he wants to face whoever is Doom Champion this time next week. Twista XL begrudgingly accepts saying that Carmine has been the most impressive thus far and he cannot deny him his match. Carmine smiles and walks away. Silver Cheetah then comes up to XL and says he strained his leg in the last challenge and that he can't face The Gargantuan! Twista XL isn't happy but Silver Cheetah says that Tiger Cub has offered to take his place!
The Gargantuan versus Tiger Cub Tiger Cub didn't look like a man who had offered to take the place of Silver Cheetah. The Gargantuan didn't care who was put in front of him - he just wanted to hurt somebody. He charged at Tiger Cub but Tiger Cub rolled away from him. His evasivenass didn't last long as The Gargantuan began throwing him across the ring from turnbuckle to turnbuckle. He then set him up in the corner and body splashed into him. As he groggily stepped out The Gargantuan nailed him with a spear but Tiger Cub somehow kicked out. The Gargantuan then got Tiger Cub in the Military Press position and looked set to slam him but Cub reveresed into a Spike DDT! 1,2 KICKOUT! Tiger Cub took to the top rope and dived at The Gargantuan but he was caught in his hand and put down for a big Chokeslam! 1,2,3!
We cut backstage after the match where Silver Cheetah is laughing at Tiger Cub on the monitor. Tiger Cub steams backstage and pushes Silver Cheetah~!! He asked him what the hell was going on? He said that Cheetah was meant to be facing The Gargantuan. Cheetah just smiled and called him a loser saying that he lost not only his match but he lost to him in Elemental's challenge. Tiger Cub was enraged and started shouting at him saying he wanted him next week. Silver Cheetah laughed it off and said that he couldn't with his 'strained leg' and then slyly mentioned that Twista was stupid enough to buy the injury as legit. At this moment Twista XL walks by and says that if he's so stupid how come he just made the match official between Cub and Cheetah for next week? Tiger Cub thanks Twista as Silver Cheetah shouts at him. Twista just laughs and says 'Oh yeah. Just got off the phone with the pro's for next week ... The Thunder Kats!'. The crowd pop and Twista XL walks off. Tiger Cub says good luck ... winner to Silver Cheetah before walking off leaving Silver Cheetah standing backstage in a state of shock.
Number One Contenders Match Chukelz versus Jayden Robertson The whole of the BSK and Malcom Gibson got a ringside view for this one. Tera-Wrist and Grandmaster Vanilla Thug Z were on commentary and this resulted in a lot of unintelligible match calling with a variety of gangster terms being used. Inside the ring Chukelz appeared to be the better man but anytime he got into a decent position within the match he laid down and allowed Robertson make a pin attempt. He always kicked out just before 3 too. Robertson felt this was disrespectful and unleashed a flurry of chops before nailing a striking spear. He gets up top and goes for the Antichrist Leg Drop which elicts a boo from the crowd due to it's honage to Harry Jones but it matters not as Chukelz rolls out of the way. Robertson charges at Chukelz but Chukelz stops him and screams 'Now you see me, now you don't!' before spraying a black mist into Robertson's eyes. He then clotheslines him over the top rope and the match spills to the outside. Robertson can't see anything as Chukelz spinebusters him into the crowd, however he blindly grabs a bottle of water and throws it on his face - bettering his vision! The two men fight in the crowd and chant's of 'This is awesome! This is awesome!' go up. Robertson manages to hit a Thunder Drop to the concrete bringing blood to Chukelz face. Chukelz is laid out on the concrete in the crowd and the refs count is at six. Robertson could make it back but instead he climbs up onto the balcony about twenty feet above Chukelz! Just as the ref's count reaches ten Robertson suicidely does the Antichrist Leg Drop onto Chukelz! No booing this time as the crowd elicts a deafening pop! This match has ended in a double countout.
Twista XL steps into the ring as the EMT's and referees gather around the two men in the crowd. He says both men gave a hell of a match and he wants to make this Championship match on Sunday a Triple Threat! Just then Bruiser Bigshot comes down and gets into the ring. He says that it looks like neither man would be ready by Sunday. And after his win over Rex Reznor he was gunna be next at getting a number one contenders match. Logic says that he should replace the two men. The crowd boo as they really don't like Bruiser Bigshot however logic prevails and Twista XL reluctantly agrees. Bigshot smiles but it drops as XL clicks his fingers. The BSK dart into the ring and lay a beat down on Bigshot. The final blow came as XL picks up Bigshot and Malcom Gibson smashes his Doom Championship against his forehead. They hoist Gibson onto their shoulders and the show ends with Twista saying 'Jeez ... I dunno if you'll be ready for Sunday...'
