So my first topic of choice is UFC Fight For the Troops 2
1st point: what is next for Matt Mitrione?
now with Mitrione he is now 4-0 in the octagon and has gained recognition especially from his win over Kimbo, now despite the fact that he is not what I would call the best fighter in the world he is unusually athletic for someone his size and he seems to get better everytime he steps in the cage, so I would say it would be best in his next fight to give him someone who would really put him to the test but at the same time not overmatch him, so when it comes down to it Mitrione should ideally next be matched against either Cheick Kongo, Stefan Struve or Travis Browne, now the only fault with this is that all three have had fights booked so I offer two more names one is Minotauro Nogueira and the other is Heath Herring as for Mitrione a win over either of them would be big and in these fights he is not totally overmatched.
2nd Point: Melvin Guillard does not deserve a title shot
now I admit after watching Guillard I was very impressed with how he has improved as a fighter but there are more credible contenders in the Lightweight division in Clay Guida, Anthony Pettis, Jim Miller and George Sotiropoulos and that is without even mentioning Gray Maynard, so I see it as with Melvin he needs to show he is ready for a shot which is why I would suggest in his next fight he faces either Jim Miller or Joe Stevenson(if he beats Stevenson maybe he will reclaim a bit of honor he lost from the cocaine scandal) but there are also 3 others who should be considered for Melvin and they are Matt Wiman, Yves Edwards and Mac Danzig as all 3 are coming off wins, with Danzig's in particular being Impressive, but even with a win over one of these 3 you have to ask is it enough in my opinion no.
In My Next Blog I shall be disscussing who I believe will be the guy/women to dethrone the champions in WWE/UFC/TNA
