Blog #1: Positivity

[warning: this blog isn't intended to be humorous at all and contains a voluptuous amount of faggotry. you've been warned, fuckers].

Ever since around this time last year, The Universe has been on a significant decline as numerous longtime members began to abandon the site. This was often the result of a general loss of interest in regards to wrestling, a very hefty in-real-life schedule, or even that some members just felt like it was time to "move on".

Now, fast forward to the 21st of May, 2013, and our beloved community finds itself literally inches away from death. With little to no wrestling-discussion and the distinct lack of any new members, this site has relied on ECCW immensely as being the last means of saving The U from going under. However, after nearly four years of dominating the e-Fedding community, Jarrett has finally decided that it's time to throw in the towel.

After first getting wind of this I was undeniably upset. However, after I dwelled upon on this loss for a little while, I noticed something that had been lacking here for quite a long time; an actual sense of community. All day I've seen posts come through and have received numerous inboxes in regards to rebuilding this site, and honestly, I'm totally stoked. I think ECCW's fall has actually benefited The Universe in a sense, in that a majority of the users have all been hit by the reality of how much this petty little wrestling forum means to them.

Now, it's time to start acting and save our community. A large portion of you have all said that you're willing to help, so let's all discuss what we can do to assure that The Universe stays alive for a very long time.

It's funny that I totally agree about the ECCW thing. So many people took it for granted that it would just always be there. Never once did anyone, hell even myself, consider the warning signs or any other means of derailing ECCW off its road to success to be true. Seems like it was just assumed that it'd always be there no matter what and now that it's not, it has really sunk in.
