Universe Election Candidate Q&A

The primary election is tomorrow, January 10. The two candidates receiving the least amount of votes will be eliminated from the race. The other three will continue on for a shortened period of five days. The general election is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 15. The winner of that will be the third admin. Also on the ballot, I will seek reelection as will Richie. Unless an admin resigns, the next election would then be scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2013.

We asked all candidates some short questions and have received responses from each.

1. Why are you running for the position of administrator?

Hazza: "I've got the touch."
Karl: "I felt like I could help make a change to the site."
Mesa: "I know it's cliche, but I just want to make as big of a contribution to the Universe as I can. I've known alot of people on here for quite a while, and forged some solid e-friendships. This site is a great place to have discussions, form bonds, and do everything wrestling related; but I want to make it even greater."
Nova: "I feel like it's time for a change, I've been here for a while and only left for personal reasons, but I think it would be a nice thing to try?"
SP: "Because, I think its time for change and I would love to help out with the site!"

2. What do you believe makes you qualified to be an administrator?

Hazza: "I've got the power."
Karl: "I've already been one."
Mesa: "Well, I've held the position from the time this site was created to the time I went on a short hiatus, so I've got the experience no other candidate can offer. I feel I'm a generally well respected member of our little community, and I'm full of ideas."
Nova: "I'm very trustworthy, and good with technical shit and I have respect from pretty much all the members here."
SP: "I've been here for a while. I'm great with people and I know how to let a person down."

3. What do you think sets you apart from the other four candidates?

Hazza: "After all is said and done, I've never walked, I never run."
Karl: "Nothing, we're all the same really."
Mesa: "Let me start by saying that all of the other candidates are great guys. However, they are generally unproven. Only Karl has any experience as an admin, and that didn't exactly go well (through no fault of his own.) I've been successful and trustworthy in a position of power, and have helped take care of this site since the get-go."
Nova: "Nothing at all, we each have our own special qualities and assets that separate us from one another."
SP: "I think everyone has their own personal traits, I don't really know what mine are, that'd be something that everyone would have to tell me."

4. What specific plans do you plan to implement to increase site interest and activity?

Hazza: "I'm a winner."
Karl: "Don't have any really."
Mesa: "Relaunching the booking session is priority number one. We have a very creative group of users, but not everyone can run an e-fed as well as Jarrett. Booking is very popular, especially if new users unfamiliar with it catch a glimpse of a thriving section. I also plan on getting the ball rolling in Social Media again. I feel a strong SM presence could quickly increase our membership and keep people informed. It could also be handy in letting users with twitter accounts get news from the site more quickly and more efficiently."
Nova: "Bring more members, by the summer hopefully get it to a nice solid 3 digit number, pimp out the page more too its looked the same for a while."
SP: "Layout changes. Make things look more appealing. Get people here and great something that they will stay for, be it a new and improved Art Gallery or a good running e-fed."

5. What other plans do you have, if any?

Hazza: "I've got the touch!"
Karl: "None."
Mesa: "I plan on trying to secure more interviews, as they were generally considered interesting among members."
Nova: "Bomb you."
SP: "Really, just to do more things for each and everyone one of the members, see what they want around here."
