| That shocked me when they announced it. Couture is 47, & he's still fighting. Liddell is only 41. But its good he's staying with the company that gave him so much. | |

| I think it is more he has been knocked out like 4 times in his last 6 fights and that if a jab from franklin's weaker hand can knock him out he knows his chin is shot where as Couture has been on like a 3 fight win streak | |

Well, in those three fights who did Couture beat. James Toney, Brandon Vera and Mark Coleman. Not exactly the cream of the MMA crop.

Not exactly the cream of the MMA crop. but not everyone can be competing in big competition. and the James Toney/Couture fight was big in the sense that it was MMA vs. Boxing, and Couture won.

The Toney/Couture fight was one sided. No one would expect a guy like James Toney, a boxing legend, to be able to learn ground game & be at the level that Couture is. It was one-sided from the beginning.

Most MMA fans predicted a Couture win because Couture COULD take him down.

| Never had much affection for Liddell, when reading his book he seemed arrogant in my opinion so I'm not going to say I was a fan - with that in mind, I still pay homage to the man who revolutionised Sprawl 'n' Brawl. It's pity he didn't get to whip Tito's ass once more. | |
