| On the June 14th edition of Impact Wrestling 'The Icon' Sting came out in the last quarter of the show and talked about the recent announcement of him being the first inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame. The promo was ended prematurely when 3 masked men emerged from the crowd and attacked Sting. This was quite unbelievable as TNA successfully left a cliffhanger and made sure that people would tune in next week. They kinda went a bit arseways the following week by dismissing the three men via Hogan but the buzz is still there and the question remains -- who were the three masked men? Possibly some stable led by Jeff Jarrett (who would have legitimate reason to be pissed after being looked over for HoF) or perhaps an invasion from a sister promotion such as Ring Ka King or AAA? Who do YOU think the three masked men are? Or even better who do you WANT it to be and why? | |

| I can't see anyone else other than Jeff Jarrett being behind this. Especially after Sting paid tribute to Jarrett just moments before he was attacked. I think they're going for Sting vs. Jarrett at Bound For Glory in what could possibly be either of their last matches before retiring. Jarrett will play the "I built this company from the ground up" card, and will come across as bitter and jealous over Sting being the first inductee in the Hall of Fame and not him. But hell, I don't think we can automatically assume that it is Jeff Jarrett, even though it seems most likely. Knowing TNA, it could lead to the return of Eric Bischoff on screen, or possibly even Hulk Hogan could be behind the whole thing.
As for the masked men, Chris Masters and Harry Smith have both been working for Ring Ka King so they seem like sensible and reasonable choices. Although, the three men that attacked Sting were probably not the actual wrestlers that it turns out to be, they were just hired for the beat down.
I was disappointed that there was no continuation of the angle on last weeks show. Even when Hogan dismissed it at the start, I thought something would happen later on in the show. Instead, we got the god awful storyline regarding AJ Styles and Dixie, which has to be in contention for the worst moment in TNA history. It was that bad.

| I too believe that Jeff Jarrett was behind it but I also believe that we will not find out who is behind it for some months as it has been reported Sting is taking some time off and this angle was done to right him off easily. | |

| So we're thinking Jarrett is behind it. Any guesses on who the three stooges might be? Chris Masters like Tom said seemed viable but he has a monsterous sleeve tattoo on his arm and all three mens arms are shown to be bare. Although, not like TNA would care about little continuity things like that and to be fair, neither would I if it resulted in Masters. | |

| Maybe they used current TNA stars, and just covered them, so when Jarrett returns, we won't know who they are, all we know is he hired them .. | |

| Yeah, the men who attacked Sting won't be the actual people that it is revealed to be, they would have just been hired as a one off. I also doubt TNA care or are even aware of small things like Masters' arm tattoo. I can't believe Sting is taking more time off, he only returned last month. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if TNA don't know who will be behind this, the masked attackers anyway. They obviously know the general direction of the storyline, most probably Jeff Jarrett as the instigator, but the identity of the masked men is probably still unknown even to them. They've probably got sufficient time to come up with a decision because it may be a while until this starts to develop, which is disappointing. | |

| I wouldn't be surprised if, when the time comes, they completely disregard the three men and just focus on whoever was behind it. | |

| It'll be like when Samoa Joe was kidnapped by ninjas, returned a few weeks later with a face tattoo and machete, and then it was never mentioned ever again. | |

| it's definetly the return of the Samoa Joe Kidnappers, they probably took Sting as well after the show ended. |

| I don't really see anything interesting in this angle. Three masked men beat up Sting and we have yet to hear why.
Nexus beating up everyone on Raw two years ago was actually a cliffhanger. This masked men thing happened only for Sting to stay off TV for a while so we can see more of the creepy storyline between AJ Styles and Dixie Carter. Who was behind the attack? Double J, Hulk Hogan or Bischoff. Or maybe neither of them.
Maybe it's like the pathetic "Others" storyline back in 2010. The "Others" where supposed to arrive to TNA and take control from Hogan and Bischoff but turned out that the "Others" were actually...Hogan and Bischoff. Eww.
Don't be surprised if Sting is behind his own attack.

| It would appear TNA are going ahead with this angle as they have now set up a Twitter account for the masked attackers, promoting that they will return with more in store. | |

| Since when did the Nexus go to TNA?
But I just wanna know who they are. Its basically like they took the Nexus and masked them. I hope TNA plays it off a whole hell of a lot differently.

| Update from tonight's Impact. - Spoiler:
Aces and Eights beat up a shit load of people: Kurt Angle, Shaw Shawson, Austin Aries and Bobby Roode. Once again, the show ended with them as the focus. There were eight of them altogether, appropriately.

| I know this is old, but Karl I find it very amusing that not once, but twice you stated that Knox, Gallow, Brisco and D Lo Brown would not actually be apart of Aces and Eights. Dirt Sheets got their report wrong like many times before and yet someone got fooled once again. | |
