BIG Update on Wade Barrett's Injury

Apparently Wade Barrett's injury is more serious than everyone originally thought. He underwent surgery early this week and doctors have concluded that the original thought of being out of action for 6-8 weeks is not likely. His injury is now expected to keep him out for 3-4 months.

As if that isn't bad enough, some WWE officials wanted to bring the Money in the Bank ladder match back to WrestleMania this year and many were expecting Barrett to leave WM with a briefcase if that were to take place.

This pisses me off to no end. With the Money in the Bank pay-per-view happening in July (just over four months away), hopefully he will heal quickly and be back then. I would also hope that WWE would still be interested in giving him a case at that point.

Best of luck to Wade, he's a hell of a competitor, but honestly I think it's a good idea to have him with the MITB at WM ? And maybe cash it in sometime, against the new champion Sheamus (let's face it, he's built up momentum, it WILL happen). But yeah, his time will come, and expect Barrett to be a big time star for WWE. It is a loss at this point, for WWE, but there's other guys on the roster who can take over his spot ?

Well that's bullshit. Instead of having a whole PPV named for it, I think they should've stuck with WM MITB..

I felt MITB was always better at Mania instead of its own PPV. to bad its scratched, and horrible news about Barrett, dude deserves a World Championship too, oh yeah and a better theme too.

Even though three a year is arguably too much, I think a WM MITB match and then the PPV too is good because that is three new opportunities. But if I had to choose one over the other, I may just choose the PPV happening (even though the old WM MITBs were awesome), because then two guys get that opportunity they might not have gotten before instead of just one.

I disagree. One at mania is enough. Because 2 or 3 a year is way too much. It takes excitement out of mitb when you know that 2 or 3 guys will have a briefcase each year. You also know that the person who wins it can only compete for that brand's world title. Remember when kennedy lost the mitb to edge and then edge showed up on sd to beat taker? What a smooth transition. You don't need to make everything about pushing the next guy.

I say get rid of all gimmick ppvs. When you know that once a year, you get a royal rumble and one mitb match, that's fine. But this year alone, I know there will be a rumble, two elimination chambers, two money in the bank, ladder matches, three hell in a cell matches, 5 on 5 eliminatipn mtches, a table match, a chair match, and at least 1 normal ladder match. That's a ridiculous amount of guarenteed matches
