Growing up, James had a tough life. His father was a drunk, always coming home to beat him in and his mother. One night, things got bad. James was only 12, and his little sister, Amanda was only 8. His father stormed home, and did his usually, he cracked open a beer, and beat his wife. James couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed his sister and pulled her inside a closet, clocking the door. James then went off, and began hitting his father with lefts and rights. James grabbed the beer that his father had been drinking and smashed it over his head. James then left with his mother and sister, leaving his father, never to return. They moved to Chicago, where James grew up with his long-time friend Casey Anomaly. James and Casey eventually grew apart, as James began hanging out with the hardcore rock fans. But they always kept intouch. Casey was actually the one who gave James his nickname of "Synyster" after along night of drinking. Casey taught Synyster everything he knows in the ring. But, after his sister moved away to college, and his mother passed away, Synyster parted ways with Casey, joining a little Wrestling League called Illinois X Wrestling. He compete there for three years, before winning the IXW World Championship. Synyster then went on to retain his gold against great legends, such as The Ultimate Warrior, Colt Cabana, CM Punk and Ric Flair. Finally, at IXW's Pay-Per-View Gone or Glory; James took on his life challenge, as he would go up against the ruffest, tuffest Superstar IXW had. Big John Jones would take on James in a Gone or Glory match, where the winner would be Champion, and the loser would leave IXW. Synyster lost, and had to leave IXW, never to return. On November 5th 2011, James got a call from an old friend, Casey Anomaly. Casey told Synyster about EFNW, and now James is submitting his application.
Synyster is a quiet person, when he is around strangers, but once you know him, and he accepts you into his life, you will learn he is one hell of a guy. When it comes to the ring though, there is only two things James can remember, all the hard-work, blood, sweat and tears that he had to go through to get to where he is today, along with his pal Casey, and that one night, when he was with his father. He is very agressive, and won't hold anything back. James is in it to win it all!
James looks at himself with two different personals. James, is his nicer side. The side he shows in normal life, but Synyster, is his darker side, that he shows in the ring, when he goes to battle.

:Ring Attire:
Synyster wears the basic full attire. He usually has his hair all spiked up. His attire from the waist down is full-out pants. He wears a black tee-shirt down to the ring. He has four tattoos, and his attire has the words "F2S" on them, for "Fight 2 Survive."

Beside from his fists, Synyster loves to use the basics for weapons, no favorites, just an old fashion steel chair, or a wooden kendo-stick will do.\

:Signature Maneuvers (8 Maximum):
- The Final Call - A Superkick to his opponent once they are backed into the turnbuckle, then he grabs his opponent and hoists them up onto the top turnbuckle. Synyster then climbs up and nails his opponent with a Superplexe.
- Brain Damage - Same way to set up The Final Call, but instead of hitting a Superplexe, Synyster nails his opponent with a BrainBuster!
- Synyster Gates - A modified Hells Gates, nailing his opponent with a Tiger Bomb before hand.


:Finishing Maneuvers (3 Maximum):
- Three Strings - A Superkick, laying his opponent down, then James locks in an Anaconda Vice.
- EoD - Chikara Special
- BLKOUT - A Tiger Bomb off the Top Rope, then lifts him back up, nailing him with a Styles Clash.
