Doom 5 – Life isn't fair

The fourth episode of the fifth season of Doom kicks off with the eight rookies and the GM Jason McDonald in the ring. McDonald gives us the current rookie rankings.

Dustin Shore comes out and believe it or not, but he is the guest pro for tonight’s show! The crowd gives loud cheers for the legendary Dustin Shore. Shore says that tonight is a very special night as his “man” Coty Weston will beat Ricky Lackett for the Doom World title. Then he says that the rookies will have a mic-skills challenge where they will have 1 minute in the microphone to talk about anything they want. Lackett says he is going to win Doom 5 as the World Champion, John America says something about Obama’s wife, Wreckingball says he is better than Kevin Evans could ever be, Jeff Nowell talks about the respect he has towards the fans, Santiago Del Rosario says that he has the ability to keep the crowd hot in every match he is on, Randal Hennings says he will win the Doom World title and go from number 8 to number 1, Kevin Evans makes fun of Wreckingball’s outfit and then Coty Weston grabs the mic and just says “Hi”. Shore declares Coty the winner!

Winner of the mic-skills challenge: Coty Weston!

Weston and Shore leave the ring as the crowd boos and the other rookies look annoyed. Kevin Evans goes after Wreckingball but three referees separate them.

A Monday night Terror Recap airs.

Back live we have Kevin Evans going one on one with Mickey Wreckingball. Winner gets Immunity from the first elimination of this season’s Doom. The match is very good with some back and forth action going on. Evans has the control now as Mickey is down on his hands and knees. Evans goes to nail his knees into Mickey’s neck (Ace in the Hole) but Mickey moves out of the way and Evan’s knees hit the mat. Mickey catches Evans with a roll-up and a hand full of tights to get the win!

Winner: Mickey Wreckingball!
Mickey quickly slides out of the ring victorious, as the crowd and Evans look shocked by this little upset. Wreckingball has now made sure that he won’t be the first one to get eliminated from Doom.

Backstage McDonald tells Dustin Shore and Coty Weston that it was unfair to declare Coty the winner in the mic-skills challenge. Shore says life isn’t fair. Randall Hennings walks up and demands the match for the title tonight to become triple threat with him in it. Coty and Shore say no, but McDonald says yes. Weston says that’s not fair and McDonald tells him that life isn’t fair.

Back in the ring John America faces off against Jeff Nowell. It doesn’t take long for John to accidently takes out the referee. John hits a low-blow on Nowell and then he gets the U.S.A. flag in his hands and waits for Nowell to get up. Suddenly, Santiago Del Rosario comes out holding the Mexican flag and holds it high moving it right and left. John yells at him that Mexico can f**k off, but that gives enough time for Nowell to hit a Yakuza Kick on John and then connect with the Phoenix Splash to get the victory!

Winner: Jeff Nowell!
After the match, Del Rosario continues mocking John America and Jason McDonald comes out to announce that next week Santiago will meet John America in the ring for the final time. And this time it will be a first ever – on Doom - “Flag on the Pole” match!

A Wednesday night Crush Recap airs.

Back live Ricky Lackett congratulates Mickey Wreckingball. McDonald walks up to Mickey and tells him that next week he and Evans will be participating in a fatal four way match for the #1 contender for the Doom World title at Gold Rush! Then he wishes good luck to Lackett for his up-coming title match.

Doom World Championship – Ricky Lackett(c) vs Randal Hennings vs Coty Weston (with Dustin Shore)

Lackett and Weston work together for a little while to take out Randal. Shore then yells at Weston to attack Lackett and Weston does so. Looks like Weston has a little advantage with Shore in his side. Randal makes a come-back taking out Weston and then Lackett. Randal hits the Patriotic Punishment on Lackett and pins him, but Weston breaks the count. After a few counters, Weston hits the Blackjack on Randal and goes for the pin but Lackett breaks the count. Lackett sends Weston out of the ring. Randal misses with a clothesline and Lackett hits him with a super-kick (Last Cent). Lackett goes for the cover, but Dustin Shore grabs his foot and drags him out of the ring. Weston rolls back into the ring and covers Hennings for the pin!

Winner and NEW Doom World Champion: Coty Weston!
Weston and Shore celebrate with the Doom World title belt as Lackett looks extremely upset. We see highlights from the match leading to the finish. Coty Weston and Dustin Shore head to the entrance ramp still celebrating as Lackett is in the ring pissed off. Shore says to the camera “I told you so” as the show goes off…

Well I'm going to tell you anyway, Your going to pay the price for what you've done because when I win Doom, I'm coming after you and making sure I put you in a wheelchair. You've crossed the line big time, you had no authority getting involved in my match, but that was your choice and now it's going to be the end of you... I am going to be a two time Doom World Champion soon enough and Coty is going to be eliminated on Doom by yours truly due to an injury, so Dustin get ready for your apprentice to crash and burn on everyone's favorite show, Doom!
