WrestleMania XXVII:

My first blog is about WrestleMania exactly last week on PPV.

List of Matches that took place (in order):

1. United States Champinship Lumberjack match turned Battle Royal (Dark Match)
2. Edge (c) w/ Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez and Brodus Clay (WHC match)
3. Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio
4. Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella and Kofi Kingston vs. The Corre
5. Randy Orton vs. CM Punk
6. Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler (Special Guest Ref: Stone Cold Steve Austin)
7. The Undertaker vs. Triple H
8. Snooki, Trish Stratus and John Morrison vs. Lay-Cool and Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero
9. The Miz (c) w/ Alex Riley vs. John Cena (WWE Championship match)

Lets start with #1. This match was originally Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan for the United States Championship, a dark match that took place before WrestleMania. It was a lumberkack match that quickly turned into a non-title battle royal. I would say sometime during the match, the lumberjacks invaded the ring, and either the RAW GM or Teddy Long turned it into a battle royal. The winner was The Great Khali, who last eliminated Sheamus. My opinion on this victory: Maybe WWE is trying to make Khali a bigger guy like he used to be. At least a mid-carder.

Match #2: The World Heavyweight Championship Match that was the first match shown on TV. It was nice to see Edge and Christian together for this match. Alberto Del Rio won the biggest Royal Rumble match in history, procaliming it was his destiny to become champion at WrestleMania. Edge wouldn't allow this. Although Edge had never successfully defended a championship at the Big One, he did it that night. My favorite part of the match came after though, where Edge and Christian trashed a Rolls Royce that Alberto had driven into the arena. Put scratches and dents in, smashed the windows and hit it with a chair! My opinion on this victory: WWE is showing that they see real talent in Del Rio, but isn't quite ready for the fued to end and make him World Champion. It should happen eventually... maybe.

Match #3: Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio. This match was basically a grudge match. It started when Rey Mysterio hit Rhodes with a 619, while wearing a knee brace, breaking Cody's nose. Cody, being "dashing" wasn't seen again until he hd face surgury. He returned, wearing a protective face mask, and attacked Rey during a SmackDown match about 2 or 3 weeks before 'Mania. The match was made and at Mania, Cody Rhodes used the Crood Rhodes to defeat Rey. Rey took Cody's mask off and used it as a weapon, but still lost. Rey's first loss at a WrestleMania since I believe WrestleMania 22. My opinion on this victory: WWE is showing that they still have a use for Cody Rhodes, not big but a use. They want Cody Rhodes to be a star, and thats what he is becoming with WWE, following in his father's footsteps!

Match #4: The 8 Man Tag Team Match. This match was made on the RAW before WrestleMania, originally as The Corre vs. Marella, Kane, Show and Kozlov. But, at WrestleMania Axxess, The Corre attacked and injured Kozloc, taking him out of the match. Kofi Kingston took Kozlov's spot and fought. In what was the quickest match at the event, The Corre came up short and lost. My opinion on this victory: The Corre is a force to be reckoned with, but just Kane and Kig Show alone are bigger. Not much else I can say about this.

Match #5: Orton vs. Punk. Another Grudge match that started back at Royal Rumble. It was Randy Orton vs. The Miz for the WWE Championship, and when the ref was out, Punk came in and hit the GTS on Randy. Explaining his actions, Punk said it was because Randy had punted Punk 2 years earlier at Unforgiven, right before his Championship Scramble match. At Elimination Chamber, both men competed in the #1 Contender Elimination Chamber match. When it was Punk's turn to come out, his door got stuck and he couldn;t get out. Randy, who waited a while, eventually dragged Punk out and eliminated him, but Punk was granted re-entry and eventually eliminated Orton. Leading up to 'Mania, Orton faces members of The New Nexus, beating and punting them all, making sure that they were banned from Punk's corner at 'Mania. At the big event, Orton went on to defeat Punk. My opinion on this victory: WWE wants to show that, while both Punk and Orton are big stars, that at the current momnet, Orton is the bigger star.

Match #6: Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler. Ever since NXT season 1, Michale Cole has been a heel commentator. For months, Jerry Lawler had to sit through verbal abuse from Michael Cole, getting to the point where LAwler wasn't allowed to touch Cole, or he would be fired. Lawler eventually challenged Cole to a match at the Big One, which was accepted on 2 condition. 1: Cole could havehis trainer at ringside and 2: Cold could choose the ref. Lawler acceoted the terms and announced Jack Swagger as his trainer. He then announced that JBL was supposed to be the ref, but Stone Cold crashed the party and signed the contract instead. Cole then played mind games on Lawler, bringing in his son, Road Dogg, to trash talk him. He also showed Lawler's childhood photos. At WrestleMania, Cole, at first, lost to Lawler, but the RAW GM announced that Stone Cold had gotten too involved in Jerry's favor, and DQd him, giving Cole the win. My opinion on this victory: WWE sees Cole as a top heel in the WWE, and want to keep him that way.

Match #7: The Undertaker vs. Triple H. This was a great match and the only match at Mania that lasted longer than 15 minutes. 2/21/11 videos sarted airing on RAW and SmackDown. This date being the RAW after Elimination Chamber, WWE fans were quick to jump to 2 conclusions: The Undertaker and Sting. On this mysterious date, the man who was returining was shown to be The Undertaker. When Undertaker finally got in the ring, Triple H returned from a 10 month injury, and stared down Taker. An agreement with no words was held, as both men, without stating a word, agreed to face off at WrestleMania. Triple H challenged it to be a No Holda Barred Match, which Taker also agreed to. At the event, these men faced off, Triple H hitting the patented Tombstone Piledriver on the man who does the move himself. In the end, Triple H tapped out to Hells Gate. Undertaker was so exhausted, he wasn't able to walk out. My opinion on this victory: WWE Wants Undertaker to keep his streak alive, and Triple H was big competition and an enjoyable opponent for the WWE Universe.

Match #8: 6 Man Mixed Tag Team Match: When Dolph Ziggler was fired from SmackDown, he was hired to RAW. When Ziggler was hired, he instantly went against John Morrison. Along with Lay-Cool, Morrison was outnumbered. Trish Stratus and Snooki were at the RAW arena that night, so they agreed to help Morrison with the Lay-Cool/Ziggler problem. At WresltleMania, Morrison's team won. My opinion on this victory: Lay-Cool looks to be breaking up soon, so a loss at 'Mania would help fans see this.

Match #9: The Miz vs. John Cena: This was probably the second most looked forward to match at WrestleMania, behind Taker/HHH. The Miz, who has held the WWE Championship for about 6 or 7 months now, has been a force to be reckoned with. He eliminated Cena from the Royal Rumble, even though he wasn's a participant. At Eimination Chamber John Cena won the right to face Miz at Mania. The Rock and John Cena engaged in a war of words, leaving Miz out. Miz attacked Cena week after week until he was finally recognized. At 'Mania, the match went to a double count out, and The Rock came out. Then the RAW GM restarted the match and The Rock attaced Cena, letting Miz won. My opinion on this victory: The Miz is probably one of RAW's biggest stars, and keeping him WWE Champion would be a great idea.

My overall opinion of WrestleMania XXVII: 8.4/10. For a WrestleMania, it was lacking. I was dissapointed that MITB was taken out of the event, but it was still good.

The Miz's Title Reign/Anything that has to do with it:

Ever since Miz's debut on the original Tough Enough, WWE has made him a huge wrestling star. Losing Tough Enough, he went on to Ohio Valley Wrestling, WWE's developmental territory at the time. He went on from there to be Smackdown's host, then the Diva Search host. He was drafted to ECW, and his career took off. He teamed with John Morrison, hosted the Dirt Sheet with him too. He betrayed Morrison t the 2009 WWE draft after being seperated. He won the US championship, and held it for a while. He also teamed with Big Show to become Unified Tag Team Champions 2 more times. Big Show betrayed Miz, who was still US Champion. He became a pro on NXT Season 1 to Daniel Bryan, and NXT Season 2 pro to Alex Riley. During Season 2, he became Mr. Money in the Bank which he held for around 4 months. After an attack from Nexus and a match against Wade Barrett, Miz cashed in on Randy Orton, becoming WWE Champion. He defeated Orton 2 PPVs in a row, beat Jerry Lawler at Elimination Chamber, than most recently beat John Cena at WrestleMania. With Miz's "Mike Mizanin" Championship, he should keep the title for a while. When he does lose it, I expect it to be against either John Morrison, Randy Orton, Triple H or John Cena. Miz has a history ful of gold, and his TV start was on a reality TV show! Thats my blog for today, thank you for reading. Don't forget to reccomend something to talk about!

I can't keep this in so....

Edge's Retirement:

As of tonight, Edge announced his retirement due to injury. His history in WWE dates back to 1998. He debuted in the WWE as a loner who entered through the crowd. His first televised match was against Jose Estrada Jr., which he won by countout. Fast forward and Edge is part of one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history: Edge and Christian! 2 brothers who fought together, gave 5 Second Poses for the benifit of those with flash photography and becoming 7 time tag team champions. They fought in the first ever TLC match at WrestleMania. Fast forward a little more and Edge is a singles competitor winning Intercontinental Championships, European Championships, any singles championship there, he won. He eventually teamed with Hulk Hogan and Rey Mysterio. Fast forward more and Edge is a World Heavyweight Championship contender. Drawing with Benoit to vacate the championship. Fast forward again and Edge has win the first Money in the Bank at WrestleMania 21. He cashes in against John Cena after an Elimination Chamber match and wins his first World Championship in WWE! From there through to today, he won 10 more World Championships then. His last title defense was against Alberto Del Rio, which he won. 8 days later, he officially announced his retirement from WWE. In a heartfelt, emotional goodbye he was given a standing ovation, both by the fans during it and by the WWE Superstars and Divas after. So, all I have to say is, thank you for all the entertainment you've given the WWE Universe your whole career. All of the WWE fans in the world wish you the best in your life!

THANK YOU EDGE!!!!

The Fued Between Edge, Alberto Del Rio & Christian

Ever since winning the 40 Man Royal Rumble, Alberto Del Rio claimed it was hid "destiny" to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. Through the months leading to WrestleMania, Del Rio taunted Edge about it. At WrestleMania, Del Rio put up a good fight but lost. Now, Edge has retired the World Heavyweight Champion, leaving the #1 Contender, Alberto Del Rio, opponent-less for Extreme Rules. What I believe will happen is Christian taking Edge's spot. I know this wasn't a long blog, but I'm tired, so thanks for reading.

NXT The Way It Should Be 4/12/11:

Yesterday Yannic posted his NXT show for The Way It Should Be. The show started off with a Tag Team match between Kaval and Alex Riley vs. Mike Knox and Big Show. The Big Show and Knox won the match, then it went to a scene backstage. It showed Better Than Woo telling their pro that they would hep him win using Brass Knuckles. The next segment was the Arm Wrestling Challenge.

My View Points NXTTournament

Shad won, then it went to Archer vs. Wang Yang. Even though Archer's pros said they would help win, Archer lost. The next segment is "Hot Seat Trivia." The Question: Name a Royal Rumble Winner.

Caylen Croft said Daniel Bryan... CORRECT!

Jimmy Wang Yang said Triple H... CORRECT!

Kaval said he was a future Rumble winner... DISQUALIFIED!

Mike Knox said Batista... CORRECT!

Shad said Shawn Michaels... CORRECT!

Slam Master J said Ricky Steamboat... WRONG!

Archer said that he quit NXT and attacked Matt Striker, injuring him. A temporary host is needed for NXT so JBL steps up to the plate! He announces an open pro spot and an open rookie spot. The next segment showed Kaval and Luke Gallows talking, Gallows saying he would beat Punk and trade pros. The match happens, but Punk wins. Punk taunts Gallows about it to end NXT.

My overall rating of NXT | The Way It Should Be: 8.9. It was a well written show with a scene format new to The Way It Should Be. I am glad thatb we aquired Yannic.

Don't forget to read my other blog posts and any future blogs. Please suggest items for wrting about, and rate my other blogs. Thank you for reading!

PostSubject: Re: My View Points   My View Points EmptySat Jun 04, 2011 1:49 pm

It has been a while since I did a blog, so lets start off strong with my favorite topic:

Christian Winning, then losing the WHC.

Christian is a star in WWE, no doubt about it. The problem is, WWE isn't treating him right. Thats why he left WWE for TNA in the first place. When he returned to WWE he was treated right: ECW Champion! He beat every challenger and became a 2-time ECW Champion, and the longest reigning ECW Champion of WWECW. But when WWE killed ECW, the last show tarted Christian's mis-treatment. Ezekiel Jackson and Christian had been feuding for a while, and this was WWE's last chance for a BIG ECW Championship match. Christian vs. Ezekiel Jackson for the ECW Championship in an Extreme Rules match. Since it was the last show, most would think end ECW on a high note for the fans, and have ECW's top star, Christian, walk away as the last ECW Champion, considering he was the fan favorite. But that didn't happen. Instead, Ezekiel Jackson won the ECW Championship, thus starting Christian's mis-treatment. Fast forward, and its WrestleMania XXVII. Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge defeated Del Rio with Christian's help, but it would be Edge's last match as he was forced to retire. I guarantee you if Edge didn't retire and he was perfectly fine, he would still be WHC and Christian wouldn't be where he is today. WWE backed themselves into a booking corner with the WHC. They didn't want Christan to become champion, but with Edge's retirement and sending Del Rio to RAW, they had to keep the title on SmackDown, and the only way to keep the title on SmackDown was to put the title on Christian, to Vince's dismay. After the match, Christian had no idea what would transpire 2 days later on SmackDown, where after the match at Extreme Rules Christian hugged and thanked Vince. 2 days later at the SmackDown taping, its Randy Orton vs. Christian for the World Heavyweight Championship, and the mis-treatment continues. Christian loses the title to Orton, then fails to win it back at Over the Limit. 2 nights later on SmackDown Christian loses a triple threat match, and loses the opprotunity for the WHC. He is made special ref and Orton retains the title against Sheamus and... BAM! Christian heel turn. If Christian's heel turn goes the way R-Truth's did, Christian will have another shot. But, knowing WWE, he will lose.

Don't forget to keep reading my blogs. Thanks for reading this and HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

Capitol Punishment

So Capitol Punishment just came and went, and there are some things to be said.

List of Matches (In Order):

1: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the United States Championship
2: The Miz vs. Alex Riley
3: Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show
4: Wade Barrett (c) vs. Ezekiel Jackson for the Intercontinental Championship
5: CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio
6: Randy Orton (c) vs. Christian for the World Heavyweight Championship
7: Evan Bourne vs. Jack Swagger
8: John Cena (c) vs. R-Truth for the WWE Championship

WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW

Match 1: Dolph Ziggler defeats Kofi Kingston, new U.S. Champion. Dolph Ziggler is still a young upstart, and Kofi is as well. These 2 men in one ring is sure to be hell, but in the end, the former member of the Spirit Squad came out on top.

My Opinion on this victory: It shows WWE still wants Ziggler around, and that they still see alot of potential on Ziggler. They see Ziggler could be big in TNA, so they want him in WWE.

Match 2: Alex Riley defeats his former mentor, The Miz. For months Alex Riley helped The Miz. In many people's view, he's the reason The Miz became WWE Champion. Miz lost the championship and blamed Riley, causing Riley to snap. 2 weeks in a row, Riley pounded on Miz, leading to this match, in which Riley won.

My Opinion on this victory: WWE sees a cast amount of potential in Riley, defeating a former WWE Champion. This could mean the push of Alex Riley, meaning World Title reigns for him.

Match 3: Alberto Del Rio defeats Big Show. This fued started when Ricardo Rodriguez ran down Big Show with Del Rio's car. Big Show returned a few weeks later and this match was made. At the beginning of the match, Mark Henry attacked Big Show and put him through the announce table. That played a role in the match, as the ref stopped the match and declared Del Rio the winner due to Big Show not being able to continue.

My Opinion on this victory: They want this fued to continue, until around SummerSlam, where I'm sure Del Rio will face Cena for the title.

Match 4: Ezekiel Jackson defeats Wade Barrett, new Intercontinental Champion. After months of winning title matches by DQ or count out because of the Corre, Jackson faced Barrett one on one, no Corre, and locked in the Torture Rack for the win!

My Opinion on this victory: WWE wants a fued between Jackson and Barrett, and this will certainly build towards it.

Match 5: CM Punk defeats Rey Mysterio. This one doesn't really have much of a back story. At WrestleMania last year, Rey faced CM Punk in a match, than at Extreme Rules, then Over the Limit. After that, these 2 never saw each other until now. Punk won woth the GTS.

My Opinion on this victory: Both are ready to leave, and WWE wants to show Punk that they want him more than Rey. Rey is injury prone and Punk is huge. Punk could also be a hge threat if in TNA. WWE wants Punk more than Rey, and this shows it.

Match 6: Randy Orton defeats Christian, still World Heavyweight Champion. 17 years. These 2 words now define Christian's career. It took 17 years for him to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Than 2 days later (5 in TV Time) he loses it? Christian turned his back on the Peeps, cause he thought that would help. But, in a fast paced ending, Orton hit an RKO on Christian to seal the victory. BUT, Christian's foot was under the rope.

My Opinion on this victory: With the way it ended, I wouldn't be suprised to see a match on SmackDown for the title, No DQ. It shows that Vince wants Christian to be a top guy, but doesn't think he's ready to hold that title.

Match 7: Evan Bourne defeats Jack Swagger. This match was made to fill time on the card. These 2 have been in a small rivalry, and it was the perfect filler.

My Opinion on this victory: Can't really say I have one. Its basically a filler match.

Match 8: John Cena defeats R-Truth to retain the WWE Championship. R-Truth turned heel, seceded from the WWE Universe, and is now the Conspiracy Nut of the WWE. He targeted "all the Lil' Jimmy's" and John Cena. He got his match, and it looked as though Truth was about to win. But he went to ringside, took a fan's hat, sipped his water and gave it back to him, only for that child fan to splash the water in Truth's face, causing Cena to win.

My Opinion on this victory: The face of the WWE, SuperCena, comes out strong in another unfair win. WWE sees Truth as a top contender, but he isn't there yet.

Thats all I have to say on Capitol Punishment. Continue to read my blogs and I hope you enjoyed my Capitol Punishment re-cap.
