"The U" Through Rose Tinted Glasses ....

Hey, it's DiamondCutter/DC/The Natural/John Heroman/Dude who's popped on the odd time over the years and was an original member here until I faded away to other forums. I'm pretty hungover at the moment and have been thinking about this place so I needed to come on and say something because I feel that I owe it to this near dead (if I'm being generous) community...

The idea of kids being on forums during their teens isn't something that anyone else thinks is normal, is it? My parents always thought it was strange that from the ages of 13 to now that I spend a lot of my time online talking to people that I don't know as if we've been friends for life because of a common interest ; wrestling. I only pop in and out nowadays where as a kid, I spent hours and hours online. With that being said, if I went a month without it I would most likely miss it.
It's hard for adults to grasp because they've never had the opportunity to engage in forums like I have, like we all have and it's easier for other kids to label these sites as hotbeds for creeps and weirdos rather than actually research it. I've been on forums ,specifically wrestling forums, for close to five years and have never told a soul out of fear of being judged because, c'mon, it probably isn't 'normal' and even if it was it would never be seen that way.

The point that I'm trying to make is that even through all of the shit that it gets and how weird it seems to everyone else that I spent a lot of my childhood on forums, I don't regret it. I've never regretted it. Sure, I missed a party or two (I try to go to them all now), but it was all worth it imo. I've always had fun online and the WWEU was where it all started for me. My first forum, like I said 'rose tinted glasses', and it was a damn good one. I had so much fun on there as a kid and I got to meet a lot of great people, as well as that I feel like being online has helped to develop me as a person and to be honest, I owe it all to the U. I guess I owe it to all of you too for helping me get a foot in the door to go and meet more awesome people in the future.

So, even with this place as dead as AW's future in sports entertainment I'm going to say thanks to this place and all of you. If any of you want to catch me up you can reach me on Skype (@viceemerald) or don't, it's cool. Anyways, thanks for the memories.
