Monday Night Raw 2/25/2013

The pyro goes off as Raw goes live in front of thousands of people. The old team of Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler are calling the action and they run down what went down the past week with the brand extension. Lawler says that tonight Vince McMahon is going to be fighting with Paul Heyman. Plus, we'll hear from Vickie Guerrero on the WWE Championship situation.

The commentators are interrupted by the music of Smackdown superstar CM Punk. He walks out to a bunch of boos as Paul Heyman walks behind him with the old WWE Championship in his hand. They walk down to the ring and Heyman get's Punk a mic. He says that he's pissed off that he was traded to Smackdown. He says that he deserves to have a WWE Championship match with The Rock at Wrestlemania. He says he wants to defend his title against him. He then goes on to say that he also wants his match with John Cena as it was promised. He's still rambling about the match when Vickie Guerrero comes out. She says that the Championship that he has in his hand is not the real one. She also goes on to say that he does not belong in the Raw ring. Punk says that he is the reason why Raw is so successful and he demands to get back on the show. She says that Heyman is still under contract with Raw, however Punk is not. Heyman gets a mic and tells Vickie that she is making the biggest mistake of her life by not resigning CM Punk. She says that that's too bad and that she can't wait for Paul Heyman's fight with Vince McMahon tonight. She leaves as Punk and Heyman are left in the ring screaming.

We come back as Zack Ryder is standing in the ring. He grabs a mic and starts talking about how he's a broski and stuff. The fans are cheering for him until Mason Ryan's music hits. He walks out and Zack Ryder backs up a bit. The referee signals for the bell.

Zack Ryder vs Mason Ryan

Zack Ryder attempts to tie up with Ryan, but Ryan throws him into the corner. He runs at him but Ryder moves out of the way. He starts kicking away at Mason Ryan. Ryan catches one of his boots and throws him to the ground. Ryder gets up and gets met by a massive clothesline. Ryan picks up Ryder and throw him off the ropes. He hits a big boot and Ryder hits the mat hard. Ryan stomps on the chest of Ryder a couple times before he rolls to the outside of the ring. Mason Ryan follows him out and throws him into the barricade. He then lifts him and up and slams him on it chest first. The referee's count is at 5. Ryan throws Ryder back into the ring and then heads to the top rope. He hits a diving clothesline. Ryder is almost knocked out at his point. Ryan lifts him up and crushes him with a vertical suplex powerslam. He pins him for the win.

Winner: Mason Ryan

Ryan looks down at Zack Ryder and smiles a sickening grin. He lifts him up and throws him over the top rope. He grabs a mic and begins to say that he is tired of being overlooked and that he will be the most dominating superstar in the history of the WWE. He drops the mic and exits.

We return to Raw and Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are standing in the ring. Ambrose starts to talk about how they lost the muscle of the group. But he says that pretty soon, The Shield will be bigger and better than ever. Rollins grabs the mic and says that he thinks that the two of them are unstoppable themselves, and they will soon be at the top of the WWE. Team Hell No's music hits and the fans cheer. Kane and Bryan walk out and step into the ring. Kane goes on to ask why they think they are so good just because they attack people when they are extremely hopeless. Bryan then says that he is the greatest tag team champion of all time. Kane then says that he is. Bryan and Kane go back and forth for a while before Rollins and Ambrose attack them.

The Shield vs Team Hell No

Ambrose and Kane roll out of the ring after the attack. Ambrose goes to the apron while Kane is down on one knee on the outside. Rollins starts kneeing Bryan in the back. He lifts him up and slams him back to the ground and begins to stomp on him. He slings himself off the ropes and splashes on top of him. Bryan gets up and Rollins throws him into the corner. He starts kick him and then rolls him out of the corner. He tags in Ambrose and he climbs the ropes. He jumps off the top turnbuckle and hits an axehandle on Daniel Bryan. He pins him, but it's only a two count. He picks up Bryan and whips him off the ropes. Ambrose drops down and then meets Bryan with a shoulder. He hits the mat hard. He tags in Rollins and he goes in and starts stomping away. Kane attempts to get into the ring, but the ref keeps him out. Meanwhile, Ambrose is choking Bryan in the ropes. Rollins backs Bryan into the corner and begins kicking away. He backs up and runs towards him, but Bryan dodges and Rollins hits the turnbuckle hard. Bryan then hits a drop kick to the knee of Rollins when he bounces back. Both are on the ground. Eventually Kane get's tagged in as does Ambrose. Kane just decks Ambrose with an uppercut. He pulls him up from the ground and hits a sideslam. He knocks Rollins off the apron and then Daniel Bryan flies off the turnbuckle and takes Rollins out on the outside. Kane clotheslines Ambrose to the ground. He goes to the top rope and hits the flying clothesline. Kane's then getting ready to hit the chokeslam when Rollins comes in and bashes Kane in the back of the head. Ambrose then rolls up Kane in a small package but it gets broken up by Bryan. Rollins throws Bryan outside the ring after he breaks it up. Ambrose sizes up Kane for the Midnight Special. Kane counters it and attempts a chokeslam. Rollins chop blocks Kand as he's going up and Ambrose falls on him. The referee counts the pin and Ambrose and Rollins win!

Winners: The Shield

The Shield escapes quickly as Kane looks furious. Bryan is in the ring and they are both yelling at each other. They get into a pushing war before Bryan runs out of the ring.

Antonio Cesaro is in the ring when we come back to Raw. He says that he loves America and he wants to give America a treat. The fans boo. He issues an open challenge to anyone in the locker room. Alex Riley's music hits and the fans are kind of silent. He runs out and grabs a mic. He says that he's gonna win the United States Championship and take it away from a fraud like Cesaro.

United States Championship
Antonio Cesaro (c) vs Alex Riley

Riley and Cesaro lock up in the middle of the ring. They exchange headlocks before Riley whips Cesaro off the ropes. He hits his forearm to his face and Cesaro drops. Riley hits a drop kick when he gets back up. He starts to kick him in the ropes but the ref pulls him off. Riley runs at him while he's standing up but Cesaro drops the top rope and Alex Riley flies over. He's down on the outside. Cesaro follows through with a high knee to the jaw. He bounces him off the barricade. The referee's count is at 4. He throws Riley back into the ring. He gets onto the second turnbuckle and hits a spinning European uppercut. He sizes up Riley and he hits the Neutralizer. He pins him for the win.

Winner and Still United States Champion: Antonio Cesaro

Antonio Cesaro celebrates with his US title as he looks down at Alex Riley. He walks up the ramp as Raw goes to commercial.

Vickie Guerrero is backstage talking to new Raw superstar Randy Orton. She says something about a title match when Sheamus walks by. he says that he deserves a title shot just as much as Orton does. Jericho walks by almost exactly when Sheamus says that. He tells Vickie that he is the best in the World at what he does and that he should be facing the Rock sometime in the near future. Everyone starts talking at once when Vickie says that she will give a WWE Championship match to the winner of a triple threat match...at Wrestlemania. She walks off as Orton, Jericho, and Sheamus stare down each other.

Advertised next, the official contract signing between The Rock and John Cena for the WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania 29.

We come back to Raw and Vickie Guerrero is in the ring with a table and a contract in front of her. She talks about how at Wrestlemania, John Cena will face off against the Rock for the WWE Championship. She then calls out John Cena. He walks out and the fans give mixed reactions. Then The Rock comes out and the fans cheer for Rocky. Him and Cena come face to face in the ring. They sit down and grab miss. John Cena says that he cannot wait to have another match with the Rock and hopes to put on a great match for the fans. The Rock says the same thing and they both sign the contract. Vickie says that it's official when CM Punk's music hits. The Rock and Cena are looking at the stage. Punk comes through the crowd. He slides into the ring and tries to take out Cena. Cena turns around when Punk hits him and puts him on his shoulders. Rock turns around as Cena puts Punk through the table with the Attitude Adjustment! The fans are going nuts as the Rock and Cena have a stare down afterwards with Rocky holding up the title.

Advertised for later, the fight between Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman.

We come back to Raw as David Otunga is in the ring. R'Truth's music hits and the fans cheer for him. He comes down to the ring accompanied by Kofi Kingston. Truth and Otunga look at each other in the ring before the match begins.

David Otunga vs R-Truth

Otunga and Truth tie up in the middle of the ring. Otunga uses his power to throw Truth down. He flexes and poses before Truth stands up and slaps Otunga. Otunga tries to clothesline Truth but he does the splits to dodge it and then hits a jumping spin kick right to the jaw. He goes for the pin, but he gets a 1 count. Truth picks up Otunga and starts hitting chops. He bounces off the ropes, but Otunga flips Truth over and he lands back first on the mat. Otunga hits a leg drop and goes for the cover. He barely gets a 2 count. He lifts up Truth and throws him into the corner. He puts his shoulder into him a couple times and then hits a big boot. He goes to the outside of the ring and pulls Truth out with him. He throws him into the barricade as Truth screams in pain. Otunga taunts Kingston and Truth as Raw goes to commercial.

Raw comes back on the air and Otunga is kicking away at Truth sitting in the corner. He runs at him and hits a knee to his face. Otunga goes for the cover but gets a two count. He starts stomping on him before lifting him up. He runs off the ropes and hits a neck breaker. He goes for the pin. 2 count. Kofi starts to pump up the crowd, and Truth starts to absorb the energy. He gets up and tries to punch Otunga, who blocks it and lays him out with a clothesline. He locks him in a headlock as the fans cheer on. After a short while, R-Truth fights out of it and eventually hits a DDT. He gets up at about the same time as Otunga and he hits a drop kick. He gets onto the second rope and does a leg drop onto the down David Otunga. He goes for the cover and gets a 2 count. He lifts him up and whips him. He bends down but Otunga reverses it and kicks him. Otunga bounces off the ropes and goes for another clothesline. R-Truth does the splits again and flips him over with a hip toss. He starts dancing a little and he hits a neck breaker of his own. He lifts Otunga up and hits the Little Jimmy. He pins him for the win.

Winner: R-Truth

R-Truth and Kofi Kingston celebrate as Truth wins his first match since returning from injury. Him and Kingston celebrate with Little Jimmy as Raw goes to commercial.

We come back and Paul Heyman is in the ring. He has a microphone in hand. He says the he knows he is supposed to fight Vince McMahon, but he feels like he does not want to re-injure his hip. He feels like it's best to call off the fight. Vince McMahon's music hits and the fans cheer. He walks down with a little bit of a limp, but other than that he's walking strong. He's wearing his "fighting attire" whereas Heyman is wearing suit. Vince McMahon grabs a mic and says that he doesn't want to waste anymore time. He pops Paul in the face and he goes down. He rolls out of the ring, but McMahon catches him and continues to punch him. He slams Paul's head off the announce table and then he throws Heyman to the ground. He grabs a chair and hits Heyman right over the back with it! All of a sudden, Brock Lesnar's music hits and he runs out. McMahon drops his chair as Lesnar corners him back in the ring. After a while, he lifts McMahon on his shoulders and gets ready for another F5, but Triple H's music hits! The Game runs out with a sledge hammer and just nails Lesnar in the gut. He then hits the Pedigree on Lesnar. He raises Mr. McMahon's hand as his music starts playing again. Vince grabs a microphone and says he just thought of a Wrestlemania match. "Myself and Triple H will go up against Brock Lesnar...and Paul Heyman!" The fans go absolutely nuts as Heyman looks on in shock and disbelief. Triple H and Vince smile and laugh at Heyman as Raw goes off the air.
