Let's talk mods

Sections that I believe need a mod;

Wrestling News and Rumours; from spoilers, to injuries, to signings, this section should be buzzing, most news sites have TONS of new material everyday. A mod would post loads of these stories and I actually think this would be a well-viewed section.

WWE Discussion; should start various threads, not just 'Mark Henry as champion.' and the OP be 'What you guys think?'. This section should be reeming, everyone that likes wrestling is aware of what happens in the WWE and everyone talks about it in chat.

TNA Discussion; see WWE. The mod should also try and vye away from the general negative views of TNA and instead try and highlight SOME of the positives.

Indy Discyssion; badly needed. The mod here should get things active, each indy company the mod can think of should have a thread with a background piece, notable wrestlers, what's good, what's bad.

Be The Booker; somebody who's going to review a lot of stuff properly, think of ways to get more bookers going, get discussions started in the discussion thread, keep bookers alive and enforce some rules.

News and Politics; similar to news and rumours

Entertainment/Video Games/Music Room; this could be a very big section if there was good active mods for them

Some sections that may need a mod;

Classic Pro Wrestling; I am unsure of the interest of this but I would change it to classic AND general pro wrestling. This is where you should talk about things like WWE v TNA, interesting feuds and also a place to review past events. It's also a place to talk about different aspects of wrestling such as good areas for wresling shows to go, fans, kayfabe etc.

Sports Section in general; maybe NA Sports could do with a mod, I think European sports is just there for the very occasinal post, I don't know if anybody could make this part more active. MMA is tricky, I see people talk about it a lot but would a mod benefit it?

Art Gallery; is there anyway to increase activity? maybe hold tournaments or encourage the opening of shops?

E-Feds; generates it's own activeness

I'd be chill to volunteer to be a mod for ...

Since my high interest in TNA I'll volunteer for that section?

This isn't happening as of yet, it's just a suggestion I'm throwing out there.

Well it's a good opportunity, I say we jump on it,

Wrestling News and Rumours; I don't think this section is even needed unless someone has inside sources in WWE/TNA. Otherwise if you find an interesting news piece on a company/wrestler etc, post in it's section to discuss it.

WWE Discussion; .Mop

TNA Discussion; Adam

Indy Discyssion; Not sure for this one. Would have to be someone who watches a diverse range of wrestling. Japanese, European, North American Indy.

Be The Booker; Karl

Entertainment/Video Games/Music Room; Hazza

Some sections that may need a mod;

Sports Section in general; Again not too sure, maybe Dan (Maskell) I'd combine NA/European as one and have the mod run that and MMA

Art Gallery; Maybe no mod, but the Admins could run a banner contest similar to WC

I'd also have someone keep an eye on blogs

I don't want any.

I would say dont have one mod for just one board but one mod for each section. Like one for entertainment, another for user related, and what ever other boards I can't think off atm.

I thought that too, but someone who might be a good mod for the WWE section may not follow anything outside of WWE, if you see what I'm getting at.

So, in other words, my plan that I told Jarrett?!?!

There should be like two mods persection, and maybe once a month, we have a Mod/Admin meeting, and talk about our sucesses, and what we want changed and stuff?

This way. nobody can bitch and complain, because its not say like Jarrett's decision, its EVERYONE on the mod teams decision. We decided as a community, not as a boss.

So if this system is put into effect, how will the mods be decided?

Personally, I think that each potential mod should lay out their plans for the section they wish to control. This way, everyone can see who the best candidate for each section would be.

This is actually a great idea! This site could use some good mods to encourage activity.

Well first, we would have volenteers. Then Jarrett, and the current mods, would pick who they think is good for what position. Then, Jarrett would add them to the mods list, and have 2 mods, per place like we had at the beginning.

All we need now is the backing of Jarrett...

Jarrett did say on chat last night, that he is considering this.

I mean, it would finally make us a comminuty. We can make this site actually go places. Make it big, and find new people to join.
