I am actually ashamed to be an American right now. It is now considered okay to kill your child, be it an accident or not, and get away with everything but "lying to police?" This is our justice system for you. I think jurors with IQs lower than -200 should not be hired. What idiots.

but do you have 100% proof that she did it? she never admitted it, there was never solid evidence that she did it. you can believe that she did it and feel that she should have been convicted, but they didn't have any solid evidence. if you followed the trial, they had a lot of bullshit about how casey's parents could have abused her, and that if they did, she would have been more prone to committing the murder. they didn't even have proof that caylee was murdered. the autopsy came back inconclusive. no proof about any weapons she could have used, or any signs of struggling on caylee's body. no fingerprints, nothing. i personally like the decision. if they gave her the murder, they could be possibly giving an innocent woman the death penalty.

as for the 200 IQ thing, that doesn't matter. what matters is emotions. a man/woman with 200 IQ might be smart, but if they get too emotionally attached to one side or the other, then they will be leaning one way or the other.

First of all, I said -200, not 200.

But an autopsy does not need to tell you that it was a murder. Finding the remains of a lost child in the woods with duct tape over her face is not a sign that it was a murder? What else could it have been? A two year old runs away from home, gets lost in the woods, dies, and duct tape automatically appears on her face? That is a likely story.

Defense has not proved anything and have only speculated possible theories, none of which seem in the least bit likely stories. Computer evidence as well as forensic evidence was presented by the prosecution and yet defense's fake stories were believed over that? Something just is not right there. And maybe they don't convict her on first degree murder due to whatever bullshit "lack of evidence" there is, so what? She was under the protection and surveillance of Casey and going missing and being found with duct tape on you when your mother was supposedly watching over you, she should've been convicted of at least murder in the second degree.

Besides, she has done nothing but lie. She was found guilty of lying to authorities on four counts and now it also comes out she has been convicted of six different felonies in the past, one including check fraud. This is not a woman that deserves "the good life" as her and her tattoo claim.

And if she didn't have something to do with it, why would you wait THIRTY ONE DAYS before reporting your child missing? Rather than searching or reporting, she was out partying with her friends in clubs, etc. as the grandparents actually cared and tried.

duct tape over the mouth proves just that, duck tape over the mouth. you can assume murder, but you can prove murder. and innocent until proven guilty is the phrase, it was proven that she was murdered, just that duck tape was over her mouth.

the prosecution showed more stories than the defense did. computer evidence means jackshit. as for forensic evidence, waht forensic evidence? proof of homicide? proof that there was any foul play at all? proof that casey did it? i didn't see any of that evidence.

There was lack of evidence. innocent until proven guilty. i would rather see a possible murderer set free than a possibly innocent man/woman be killed via the death penalty. as for murder in the second degree, do you even know what that means? murder in the second degree means that the murderer killed the victim out of anger and without thinking a plan for murder through. if they have little to no proof that the murder happened, how can they say that Casey killed Caylee out of anger?

Yes, she may not be the best person in the world, she may have made mistakes, but that doesn't mean that she murdered her daughter. she could have even been convicted of murder before, that still wouldn't show that she murdered Caylee. yes, a month, but just because she might not be the best mother in the world doesn't mean that she murdered her daughter. think about it, if your daughter got murdered, or even went missing, you would be in a lot of grief. people handle grief in different ways. you might confront grief head on (I do too), but others try to hide the grief, they try to push the grief away. Casey could have pushed that grief away. doesn't mean she committed any murder. bad parenting, no crimes come with reporting missing people late.

That does not even make sense. There is absolutely NO WAY duct tape could have gotten onto the skull of Caylee if it was not murder. Under WHAT circumstances would that be even possible, to duct tape your own skull?! And it doesn't matter how much ASSUMING needs to be done in order to come to the conclusion that she was murdered. The entire case is a MURDER CASE, even the defense knows and have said that. I have never seen a death penalty even come to mind if murder is not the crime being acknowledged. Suppose she wasn't even killed. Putting duct tape over a two year old's mouth is enough right there to get you locked up, that's endangering the welfare of a child. It was no accident, at least not the kind defense says it is. If it was an accident, Casey still did it, whether or not she intended to kill, she still did it.

Computer evidence meaning jackshit? It was proven that a human being searched for "how to make chloroform" and "neck breaking" and all of those "suspicious" things. Casey was the ONLY person that could have been home to make those searches, another proven fact.

I mispoke, I meant to say second OR THIRD degree murder. There is no reason she should have had any of the murder charges dropped, but especially that she did not get ANYTHING major in charges. And BAD PARENTING explains away going out to party when your kid is who knows where? She did that because she knew she was dead. She was talking about Caylee in the past tense at that time. "She was this, she was that." She knew exactly where she was, in the trunk of her car. There is no excuse to wait an entire month pretending your kid is lost or something and waiting that whole month before contacting police. That is the FIRST thing to do when you "find out" about the loss.

I agree with Jarrett. Florida can not count votes, nor can they prosecute murders.

yes, they are trying for murder, doesn't mean that murder was even committed. its like this. in football, lets say a Wide Reciever catches a pass in the middle of a field. the defense catches up to that WR, and tackles him, the ball comes out and it is ruled a fumble. the coach challenges the play. he can challenge what he chooses to challenge about the play. he says that the player is not in bounds. doesn't mean that he was out of bounds, or that he was even close. it means that the coach did something stupid. and even if it was murder, doesn't mean that casey was the one who duct taped the mouth of caylee. they didn't find any of casey's fingerprints on that, they didn't find anybody's fingerprints on caylee or on the duct tape, so you can't prove who did it, whether it was casey, caylee or really anybody could have taken caylee.

yes, computer evidence means jackshit. First of all, how do you know that casey was the only one who could have been at the Anthony home at the time? how can you possibly prove that? also, when you have a computer that is connected to the internet, there are things known as backdoors. basically, people can hack into your computer using these backdoors without even being at your house, they could do it from across the world and do whatever they want. you wouldn't be able to trace who did it, because all the history is on your computer.

There is no reason that any of those murder charges should not be dropped. and now your starting to assume. she went out and partied because she was a bad mother. doesn't mean she murdered her child. just means she was addicted to alcohol and cared more about the alcohol than she did her child. yes, third degree murder could be something they could have gone after, but they went after first degree murder. she was never given the charge of murder in the third degree. and that's the only charge they could have gotten with the proof they had, besides lying to a law enforcement officer.

It's sickening that someone like that gets away with what she did. The evidence was clear that she did it. She admitted it to her father as his woman said. She laughed at times during the trial and showed no emotion other than that. Its so disturbing that they let her walk. They probably voted Obama also.
