SCSA 3:16 or CM Punk's Shoot?

CM Punk's promo was better on so many levels, but SCSA's shoot was still great

I love how one of those "crappy USA shows" has a commercial after Punk's shoot.

SCSA by far. By far. Punk was great, great, longer but it means jack shit. It's been used as a build towards a feud. SCSA's promo was the beginning of a whole entire era. The whole attitude era can be harked back to that 2 minute promo, thus it'll eternally be greater. Anybody who's in anyway shape or form a wrestling fan will accept that SCSA 3:16 was better.

Punk's actual promo was much better, but SCSA's promo set off the Attitude Era so like, gotta give Austin the win by default.

Yeah, Stone Cold's did set off the Attitude Era but come on, Punk's was more mind blowing. I mean, he broke every commandment set by the WWE that night. Stone Cold broke the rules, but CM Punk demolished them. <---That should be a t-shirt. Plus Punk's promo no doubt brought more exposure to ROH/NJPW and other indies it seems like.

The main difference is that Stone Cold's will be more remembered since it "started an era," whereas this is storyline development as it seems. It had a bigger impact, and although Punk's blew my mind and left a mark, it made a mark in 2011, but in 2020, and you're asked about a promo that "changed everything," chances are Stone Cold's would come to your mind before Punk's would.

We've still to see the effects of Punk's promo...

I think SCSA was more mind blowing, I mean he was cussing on TV! Back then that was UNHEARD of!

Although one thing I agree with what TJ said was about the exposure, I say nearly everybody looked up Colt Cabana/NJPW/RoH that night.

CM Punk's and it isn't even close. CM Punk isn't being given enough credit right now because HELLO you can't tell what it would usher in. It could bring some new era in. Stone Cold's was just like every other piece of shit thing he did and was BORING

I wonder how many google hits Ring of Honor have had since Punk's promo?

To be honest, you can't really compare the two as the repercussions of Punk's are yet to unfold.

I believe anybody that thinks the CM Punk WORKED SHOOT is better more shocking whatever knows jack shit about pro wrestling.

Dan is completely flaming Austin and he is the only person to not post reasonably in this thread. Plus he's pissed because Austin didn't allow Luke win TE.

CM Punks promo was great and it's never going to be anythingon 3:16.

In my opinion, from a historic stand point, SCSA promo was obviously much better than CM Punks, but that is obviously because nothing has come from CM Punks promo yet.

As for an entertainment stand point, I'd say CM Punks was better. Obviously SCSA had one of the greatest one liners in history but having seen them both several times, I'd chose to watch CM Punks again over SCSA.
